The Bella external cold smoke generator is designed for cold smoking at temperatures below 100 F. Made from 16 gauge 304 stainless steel. Includes a variable speed air pump which allows for air flow adjustments and smoke volume control and 48" of improved Silicone air line tubing. The generator can hold up to 2 lbs. of wood pellets and provide 6 to 10 hours of smoke. Wood pellets are the recommended wood type for best results, but wood chips work as well. This generator allows for smoke cheeses, veggies, seafood or any other food you prefer to cold smoke. Requires drilling a 3/4" dia hole on a vertical surface and two 1/8" pilot holes for attaching generator using supplied self tapping screws. Dimensions assembled 3" x 3" x 10". What is the length of the tube that enters the smoker, measured from the outside of the smoke generator?

Answer: 7 inches

Can I use with my masterbuilt

Answer: Yes you can.

Can I make adjustments to the smoke tube and add a 90 degree fitting? I have to install it on the back of my Recteq cold smoker box.

Answer: I don't see why not. It's a stainless tube dont know if it's standard pipe size I would think you could thread it with a die and run brass fittings from hardware store. Sorry I'm 30 miles from the smoker right now or I could be more helpful.

does it put out blue thin smoke or the white strong smoke?,what pellets work the best

Answer: the type of smoke that is made with our generator depends of the type of wood used. A mixture of 50% wood pellets and 50% small wood chips will provide the best type of smoke

Answer: most of these cold smokers generate thick billowing clouds of white/gray carcinogen loaded smoke. Thin blue smoke is what you really want becouse it means all the carcinogen wood volatiles have been catalyzed into nitrogen dioxide.

Answer: I have not tried the sawdust. It maybe to fine if not mixed with something additional.

Does any smoke leak out of the top or bottom?

Answer: It is a cap on top so yes you could see smoke.

Does it have an element to keep the wood smoking or do you start it with a torch?

Answer: You light it with a torch which we offer on our website.

Can i sit it on a granite table to feed the bottom air intake on my kamado joe?

Answer: I can't see why not.

Will the air pump work on 220v current?

Answer: Yes, with the addition of a 110-220VAC converter.

Answer: No it will not unless you have a converter.

Does it affect the heat in the smoker it self?

Answer: Just a few degrees depending how hot it is outside. It was 30 above this morning when I was cold smoking and I seen no temperature change. Last summer I seen a 4 degree change cold smoking at 89 degrees and 78% humidity. Hope this helps

What is the diameter of the silicone tube?

Answer: the OD of the tube is 3/16" dia

How hot does the unit/pipe get? I have made a cold smoker out of a whiskey barrel and wondering if this would work attached to that?

Answer: It doesn't get hot at all.... maybe around 95deg. I smoke cheese and spices and have checked the temperature.... usually stays around 80+ deg in the chamber. My chamber is an older Master Built smoker that had the element wear out after many years.... bought a new Master Built and turned the old in to a cold smoke cabinet. The cold smoke attachment, with pump, works really great.

Answer: It gets hot and may chare the barrel.

Answer: Yeah it gets fairly hot on the outside of the box. You can drill the hole big enough so the pipe doesn't touch the barrel, and use some spacers for the screw holes (like hex nuts) to keep the box off the barrel. Should be fine.

I've been smoking using my masterbuilt electric smoker for a few years but never felt like I was happy with the smoke output. I've tried the smoke tubes that you light and leave in the cooking chamber. They sometimes work, but often go out without any way of knowing. Plus the smoke amount isn't great and it gets gummed up with grease drippings.

I decided it was time to try something new. Enter Bella's cold smoke generator. I now have tons of consistent smoke, and I can set it and forget it. Best investment I have made yet into my smoking game, on par with my PWM temp controller.

very simple to install and maintain, produces a lot of smoke and works as advertised, i installed my on a traeger grill that just wont put out the smoke, i like the cold smoke. the only down side i see is the residue that is left behind after using the pellets inside the smoker, kinda scares me to wonder what the oily substance really is, anyway great product
