Do you need poles for this? We are looking to catch tropical fish (angels, puffers, tangs, etc) for our saltwater tank on a trip to the Florida Keys.

Answer: Its a great net and we use it for gathering fish from palm beach. It will require two poles which can be had from a home depot. I used heavy cedar stakes

Tamie Hall : Disappointed with the product and company advertising.

NOT as advertised or shown in photos. There are NO lead weights on this net. The “weights” are lighter than the floats. If I had not planned on adding a chain to the bottom I would send it back. If you’re expecting a seine net that actually works out of the box you’re going to be sorry with this one.

We purchased this to get bait fish and shrimp. It works extremely well. We just attached it to a piece of 3/4" PVC pipe on each end about 4' in length for supports and it works amazing. We catch all kinds of shrimp and fish with it. even on days we're not fishing its fun to see the things we can catch and release. crabs, shrimp, fish of all kinds.

I grew up seining, to run trot lines on river with my dad. I wanted to try seining again and purchased this item. The seine of old was much more flexible (cotton) and was easier to keep net on bottom. Going to try to add weights on bottom.
