Questions about Traeger, TFB57GZEO, Pro Series 575, Grill, Smoker, Bronze & BAC507 Liner 5 Pack-PRO 575/PRO22 Grill Drip Tray, Set of 5 Disposable Aluminum Wood-Fired Cooking, Silver
Q:
Does it come assembled? Is it difficult to set up/put together after shipped to your home?
Answer: The grill requires assembly. It weighs about 170 pounds so a second person is recommended for picking it up after you put the legs on. I was able to put it together with my 9 year old daughter. Traeger recommends a six pack and a radio as additional tools.
Answer: I am not that handy. I paid Amazon to assemble the grill upon arrival. The two techs did a great job in no time.
Answer: It’s pretty easy to assemble. The parts are labeled and tools included. A second person really helps, but not required.
Q:
how hot does this get
Answer: The highest temperature I have set it to so far has been 450 degrees Fahrenheit. I haven’t had a need to go hotter. I cooked at that temperature when the outside temperature was about 30 degrees and I went through an entire hopper of pellets in about 2 hours.
Q:
How long is the power cord?
Answer: 8’ it’s not very long and plugs into the back side of the assembled grill. If you are looking the grill, the plug comes out the back on the right hand side.
Q:
Does it come with the cover?
Answer: No there is no cover included but it is recommended if the grill will be stored outside when not in use.
Answer: No, it doesn’t. You have to buy separately.
Answer: No
Q:
How much of this grill is assembled when delivered? How much more is required?
Answer: The grill is mostly assembled. Attaching the legs, smoke stack, grates and handle is needed. Assembly is easy and fun to do. The grill comes with a guide with pictures. We also have unboxing and assembly of the Traeger Pro Series available on our YouTube channel.
Answer: Only the barrel, auger and controller are pre-installed - all other components (legs, wheels, stack, handle) need assembly. It's not bad but it is HEAVY.
Answer: There are only a handful of pieces to assemble once it arrives. It took three people about 30 minutes to assemble using the rather simple instructions.
Answer: Not much is assembled. It really doesn't take that much to do. You should be able to do it in an hour. It helps to have an extra set of hands when you are putting the smokers legs on and standing it.
Answer: Legs and shelves/handles need to be installed
Q:
Does it have a rotisserie feature for smoking chickens?
Answer: No, the Traeger 575 doesn’t have a rotisserie feature.
Q:
is this the Gen 2?
Answer: The Pro 575 is indeed Gen 2 with Wi-Fi capabilities. The older model/Gen 1 would be the Pro 22.
Answer: Can't tell you. Its the Pro, with WiFi. Works well. Thats all I know.
Q:
can you cook without using the wifi....
Answer: Yes you can cook without WiFi. WiFi allows you to monitor and adjust your grill or the temperature anytime, anywhere from the Traeger app on your smartphone.
Answer: Yes you can. WiFi is for convenience to monitor temps but you can do the same thing by looking directly on the grill.
Answer: absolutely
Q:
Does it have the Super Smoke option?
Answer: No. it does not. It just allows you to set temperatures in 5 degrees increments.
Answer: No.
Answer: No it doesn't
Answer: No
Answer: No.
Answer: No it does not.
Q:
Can this maintain temps more accurately than +/-15 deg (heard last gen had that wide of a variance)? Also, in what increments can the temp be changed?
Answer: On average during an hour cook, in nice weather, Traeger Grills' fluctuations should be no more than +/-25°.
Answer: the lowest temp is 165 degrees. you can them change the temp in 5 degree steps. I have cooked and kept the temp within a 15 -/+ range. I would recommend also getting the insulation blanket. You'll burn a heck of a lot less pellets and the temp variance will be better. I love my 575 Pro II. High recommend it.
Answer: Yes, it maintains temperatures typically within +/- 5 degrees so long as you don't open and close too much. The increments are set by the dial and go up/down by 5 degrees.
Answer: Depends on environmental factors (cool, windy etc.) and if it's kept clean, especially the temperature probe (not meat probe). Temp is changed in 5 degree increments.
Answer: This model sometimes fluctuates +- between 5-10 degrees. You can change the temp in variables of 5.
Q:
Does the treager series pro 575 have the slot to empty the unused pellets?
Answer: Yes.
Q:
why is this more expensive than the pro 34? why is it better?
Answer: Comes with more features. WiFi for one!
Answer: Comes with Wi-Fi which is excellent to have. You can monitor everything from your phone.
Q:
How many pellets are needed for each use when grilling or smoking?
Answer: The grill is expected to use around .5 lbs of pellets per hour on the Smoke setting, around 1 lb per hour at 300 °F, and around 2 lbs per hour on the High setting. This amount is an estimate and can be affected by things like ambient temperature and opening the lid.
Answer: Pellets come in 20 lb or larger bags. Depends on what you are grilling. Usually an 8 hour grill will take 1/2 a bag.
Answer: It depends on the temperature and duration of cooking, and probably whose pellets you are using. Traeger has statistics I am sure for different temperatures. Smoking a brisket for 6 or so hours at 225 might use 1/2 a hopper for the 575 model.
Answer: It is amazingly efficient. I use Pit Boss pellets which are much more reasonably priced. I used their competition blend when I cooked a rack of spare ribs. I filled the hopper to the top and cooked for about five hours. I only used about an inch from the top for this cook. For shorter high temp cooks even less. Those pellets go a long way.
Answer: I start with about a gallon of pellets. When cooking/smoking for several hours you may need more.
Answer: We just fill up the hopper and it will stay there until next time. The hopper takes what it need. My husband love it.
Answer: This is impossible to answer, it depends on what you are smoking!
Answer: It depends on the temperature and how long it takes to cook what you are making. The 20lbs bags seem to last awhile though. I cooked a brisket at 185-250 degrees for 18 hours and it didn't use a whole bag. It really seems to be more efficient than charcoal cost wise.
Q:
Can't buy timberline 1300 on Amazon
Q:
Does it maintain a +/- 5deg temp in cold weather without an insulated blanket?
Answer: On average during an hour cook, in nice weather, Traeger Grills' fluctuations should be no more than +/-25°.
Q:
is the grill surface made with a ceramic coating or just steel
Answer: The grates that come with the grill are porcelain coated.
Answer: This is all steel. Although the grill is powder coated.
Answer: Mine is steel.
Answer: Steel
Q:
Will the 575 cook 3 full rib slabs? Do you need to get a rack so they are vertical? Has anyone smoked ribs in a vertical position and cook evenly?
Answer: Yes, the Pro 575 can hold 5 racks of ribs.
Q:
How hot can it get?
Answer: Not sure since it designed for low temp, slow cooking. I've kicked it up to 375 - 400 degrees
Answer: The Pro 575 has a max temperature of 500F.
Answer: 500 degrees is the max
Answer: About 450 degrees,F of course
Answer: About 500
Answer: 450F

Answer: Well, I didn't know so I looked it up on the internet.. MADE In CHINA :(
Q:
What is this Power requirements for this grill? 110V @ how many amps?
Answer:
Answer:
Answer: Power consumption and amperage requirements are extremely low for smokers. The auger in the pellet box uses more power than anything else, and it's just a tiny motor. You'll be fine running it off an inverter or a 115V receptacle in a car/truck if that's what you're getting at.
Answer: 15amp is working fine for us.
Q:
Is there a payment plan
Answer: I paid cash
Q:
How many years does this last before rusting out?
Answer: Well, we have only had our Traeger for a year and a half... we keep it covered when not in use and it still looks fairly new. I think as long as you take care of it and keep it covered it shouldn't rust out... unless you live right on the beach and it is subjected to salty air 24-7 ???
Answer: We’ve only had ours 4 months. I can’t see it rusting very soon. It’s painted and it’s design doesn’t allow all the heat to impact the paint. Plus, we cover it when it’s not in use. It has been an amazing purchase for us.
Q:
Does it come with the bucket to catch greese?
Answer: Yes, it does come with a little bucket to catch the grease. Traeger sells aluminum foil liners for the bucket that makes cleanup much easier.
Answer: It comes with a bucket, but you will want to get the foil inserts that will allow it to be cleaned out much easier.
Answer: Yes it does. If you are a new Trager purchaser, I would suggest the foil pans which fit the bucket would be a good purchase. Clean up is easier with them.
Answer: Yes it does come with grease bucket
Answer: Yes. Bucket and liner included.
Answer: Yes, it came with a metal bucket and 2 aluminum foil inserts. We have washed and reused the insert several times.
Answer: Yes it does, along with 3 aluminum inserts
Answer: I believe so but it was a gift
Answer: Yes
Q:
How long will the pellets last in a unused grill?
Answer: Not sure what you mean... They will sit in the hopper forever if you don't use the grill but they say not to do that because the pellets will soak up moisture from the air. There is a hatch to let unused pellets out in case you aren't going to use it for a while or want to change flavors.
Q:
we received a damage grill...we want replacement but return doesn't give us that option? please help!
Answer: Call Traeger support.
Q:
Where is it made?
Answer: China
Answer: Well, I didn't know so I looked it up on the internet.. MADE In CHINA :(
Q:
Will this arrive in Amazon box? Is a gift and I don't want my husband to know what it is.
Answer: Tragerbox
Q:
how can you get more smoke on your meat
Answer: lower the temperature
Q:
How long will the pellets last in the 18lb hopper on 225?
Answer: The temperature you cook at and the outside temperature wil both play a role. I was able to cook at 250F for about 8 hours on half a bag of pellets when it was 35F outside. However I upped it to 400F to sear some meat and the other half of bag pf pellets was gone in about 2 hours.
Answer: Depends on the temperature of your cooking method such as smoking and/or grilling.
Q:
does it come with the upper grate
Answer: yes
Product reviews of Traeger, TFB57GZEO, Pro Series 575, Grill, Smoker, Bronze & BAC507 Liner 5 Pack-PRO 575/PRO22 Grill Drip Tray, Set of 5 Disposable Aluminum Wood-Fired Cooking, Silver
Jaime Machuca Mercado : Great Smoker, not really a Grill
This is a great slow cooker/smoker, but when it comes to grilling this is not your best choice. The name is a bit deceiving since they call it a grill, but it does not get hot enough to give a proper sear to meat. On the other hand for doing slow cooks, and smoking this is an great piece of equipment, pretty much fire and forget, let it do its thing and then just eat. Would definitely give it 5 stars if they remove the grill from the name.
DJPeebs : This is the next level for those who love smokers
This bad boy is the real deal. It’s the perfect size for entertaining my wife and I do every so often and more than enough for the two of us. We purchased ours from Amazon Prime to guard against any of the things that happened to the minority of people with bad experiences. We also added the extended warranty, just in case. Finally, we had it assembled through Amazon as well. It took the assembly technician, who had put together more than 50 smokers, exactly one hour to complete. A mere mortal will take over two hours on a average would be my guest. It’s 94° and was money well spent. I’m thrilled!
Casey Dick : Great tool, but....
Massive upgrade from electric smoker. Easy to use. Not really hot enough to sear burgers or steaks. I use my flat top Blackstone for that. Everything else is awesome. Want to add smoke to your meat? Use this for 30 minutes then transfer to the flat top to finish it off. Love it.
James M. Money : Should have heard of Traeger Long Ago
Yes, it's a little more expensive but once you get one of these and you cook with their wood chips of maple, hickory, pecan, etc. it will change your life - especially with the prong that tells you the temperature of the meat while it's cooking.
Easy-e : READ BEFORE BUYING
Update: I was partially incorrect. The controller temp is typically 25-40 degrees cooler than what the ambient temperature actually reads (I purchased a third party probe). So as long as you increase the temp by that amount to make up for it, it does maintain that temp really well. I updated my review to four starts. It does have some design short comings still. And it would be nice for the controller to just work properly.
RESEARCH AND GOOGLE TRAEGER PRO 575 BEFORE BUYING
This grill cannot maintain low temperatures. You want to use this thing for "low and slow" cooks. When you set it to low temps (below 300 in my experience), it rockets to temperatures much higher than you set the controller to. See pic. The thing doesn't get below 220 when you set it at 165.
Each support person will tell you something different "it's the firmware version", "it's the controller". The steps to manually update firmware they send you do not work. You can't pull an update, you have to wait for it to get pushed. Traeger shipped me a new controller and it made no difference.
The thermocoupler (heat probe) location is the worst location you can put it. You'll have a hard time not banging into it when putting the bottom grill grate in and out.
The hopper clean out should have at least been on the side of the box, not on the back. Good luck fitting a 5 gallon bucket (like they recommend to use for pellets) behind that. You're going to spill them all over
It's unfortunate it's littered with little issues, because it seems to be built really well. The shipping weight was extremely heavy. You'll also find plenty of peeling paint quality control issues over the web and a lot of issues with wireless and connectivity issues last year.
I'd wished I'd gotten something else. I'd look at a model that isn't this one or a different manufacturer if I were you.
John Van Cleave : Very good flavor from the BBQ
I’m very blessed on the flavor that the barbecue produces. But I set the temperature at 165* and the temperature go on up to 270* to 280* and does not drop to 165*.
Verna Brammer : Waste of money
Bought for a Christmas gift and temp did not work. Complete waste of money
R. Meakins : Not a smoker unless you cheat
Traeger why didn’t you put the super smoke or even smoke in this well made grill?
Dennis Diehl : Great smoker. Easy to use and maintains a consistent temp
Very easy to use . And yes you can get great bark on a pellet grill. You may get grief from solid wood smoker users that your cheating. But I truthfully can’t tell the difference between pellet and wood smokers results . Why spend an entire day running out side shoving wood in and playing with vents to maintain temp when technology exists to let you do other things. Like sleep on a long overnight smoke.
JB : Stupid simple, nearly perfect smoke
The only thing I would complain about is the pellet sensor should be included standard. Turns out that these grills do start with electricity but the heat is generated by the pellets, not electricity. These thing are really pellet heaters but instead of burning paper pellets they burn tasty food grade wood pellets. If you like to smoke food, you can't go wrong with this buy. If you don't cook out a lot or smoke lots of food, do not buy this! You will just have a big rusted piece of junk pretty quick and you will be in here writing nasty notes about Traeger. It is one of those things that only runs because it is used regularly. Let it sit and it won't last long. Kind of like an airplane, just not as noisy.
Travis : Love my Traeger
Very easy to use. Assembly wasn't to bad but you will need two people for sure. The grill works great, it's helping me cook much better food. My only complaint is the built in meat thermostat is off so I purchased a different one.
Coach : Not working from day one...
From day 1 this Traeger didn't work. Day 1.
The main reason I purchased this specific smoker is because of the ability to control it remotely via an app on my smartphone.
From DAY ONE the feature didn't work.
Called Traeger. Spent all afternoon on hold and talking with a rep. The rep took me through all the diagnostics. The rep was polite and helpful. No problem with that.
Then, the decision was made by the rep that the Traeger'S motherboard of its computer system isnt working. The rep needed three days to get an approval to send me either a new motherboard or maybe a whole new Traeger.
Days passed. No call or email.
I called back. Another rep talked me through things, again.
This rep said three more days are needed and I'd probably be sent a new motherboard.
To be specific there is nothing wrong with anything on my end. My router is great. My signal is great. The app works great on my phone.
The problem they've diagnosed is that the Traeger has a bad computer system motherboard.
How that's even possible on a machine that's brand new I've got no idea.
Traeger.. I'm disappointed. This smoker is expensive. I saved and saved and finally bought one.
Yes, Amazon was amazing.
Yes, Traeger was quick shipping.
Yes, the Traeger reps were both well trained, kind, helpful.
But, the brand new machine isn't working.
And, if it's a motherboard issue and they send me a new motherboard.. I hope it's a simple process for me to take out the broken one and install the new one.
Will update this review as improvements/repairs happen.
Update July 8, 2021 :
Traeger sent us a new motherboard. Watched an install video. Installed the motherboard.
The app on my phone then began working with the Traeger.
Will update again when I attempt to use the app for cooking.
Update August 2, 2021:
I've cooked 6-7 times with this Traeger.
The motherboard works. It was very simple to take out the broken motherboard and install the new one.
Simple, as in anyone can do it. I'm not a computer guy at all and it was simple. I'd say most any ten year old kid could do it without any issues.
About the app...
Isn't impressive at all. Doesn't hardly do anything. Mainly just offers a lot of videos to watch.
Basically, we spend $100s for this feature and it's pretty much just a Traeger video store.
I can't even use the app to change the cooking temp. Kinda dumb, Traeger, that you made this app and I can't even change the cooking temp with it.
It does tell me the meat temp via the meat thermometer and the overall temp inside the smoker. But, that's it.
About cleaning...
Seems like nobody anywhere talked about how freaking hard it is to clean this machine and how long it takes.
Because there is no charcoal or fire.. the oils get everywhere and don't burn off.
Flies and ants have easy access of its not cleaned immediately, as we've learned the hard way.
I'm glad my wife is willing to clean it because there's a lot to clean. More than I've ever had before in any grill.
Cooking & Flavor... the meats are great. No problems with that. The machine works well.
Jeff : Headache
Temp control is terrible. Overshoots set temp by 30-40 degrees. Have been having issues since the second cook. Replaced numerous parts including a complete hopper burner assy. After replacing the assy it worked correctly for two cooks and now back to the original problem. If I could get a full refund at this point I would. Frustrating to say the least.
STu : Great smoker, Needs additional parts to grill
Everything arrived undamaged and I was able to put the thing together myself without any problems. The app setup on my Android phone and iPod without any problems.
As a smoker it works great. Temps were maintained and I really like being able to monitor everything important on the app along with the alerts it sends.
For grilling the standard grates don't work. The internal temp of 500F and the small mass of the grates really can't sear anything. Adding a set of GrillGrates solves this problem, but Traeger really should have included a heavier set of grates if they are advertising that you can grill on the thing.
Zach : Like it
Great smoker love it, a little on the expensive side but worth it if you like to smoke, it’s amazing for fish chicken, deer, anything that is smokable you can smoke in this beast.
Kirk : Great smoker, better meat.
Smoked a pork butt the first time this weekend on this Traeger. I owned the Pro Series 22 but the WIfire on this machine is amazing. A little hard to use but so worth the money.
craig : Very easy to assemble
My pro 575 was easy to setup and start up! One person can assemble but you need a second person “ my Wife to stand it up right “ the WiFi is very easy to setup as long as your within the distance of your router. I’m a instrumentation and electrical technician and tested the accuracy of the thermocouples that it uses and it was within a couple of degrees of the temperature on the LCD display. It’s a sturdy well built smoker and grill. I’m doing my first brisket tomorrow I will let you all know ????
Bret : Set it and forget it (almost)
I love the convivence of this smoker! I use it all the time and wish I had purchased it sooner! All the features are there. The alarm doesn't go off when grill has reached temperature or the meat probe has reached temperature. Full transparency, it might be a phone setting I have to change. I have to knock 1 star because the meat probe is highly inaccurate, even after calibrating the probe and purchasing new probes. I found out the hard way when I made lamb ribs the first time, and boy were they severely undercooked! A better probe, and alert system would knock this out of the park 10/10.
mr : Awesome, value packed purchase!
I researched pellet grills for 9 months before purchasing. The Traeger is well worth the price and I can’t recommend enough to ensure you get one with Wifire. I’ve cooked whole chickens, chicken half’s, burgers, steaks, brisket, sides and deserts...they’ve all turned out amazingly well.
James R. : Traeer Grill
High tech product. Has a lot of versatility. Clearly a superior product with a superior cost.
gary : Can’t Believe I Waited So Long
Have had this grill 1 month. Assembly was easy but requires 2 people. It is a breeze to take apart and clean. I try to clean it after every other cooking. The 575 with WIFI allows you to start the ignition process then go back to doing whatever you were doing. The smoke is subtle but man does it flavor the food. It is not the smoke but the smoke vapor that seasons the food. I have cooked beef, pork, chicken and veggies. They all turned out wonderfully. I am an old charcoal smoker but now I am a pellet convert. A word to the wise. Do not try to save money by using pellet stove pellets. They do not work. The pellets are not consistent and can’t be controlled. I thought I was going to burn down the whole damned neighborhood. Spring for the good pellets. Otherwise you risk a runaway.
ToddKoz : Way to expensive
Dose not hold temprature and wifi kicks in and out goes through a hopper of pellets in 4 to 5 hrs. Set at 165 do not recommend this peice of junk
Mungbeana : Hands down the best grill/smoker yet
Bought this for my husband for Christmas and he loves it. This thing is awesome all they way down to the packaging! Like seriously so much thought went into this product! It’s high quality throughout and we love the wifire feature. Hubby has already made us amazing burgers, brats, and a mouth watering brisket!! But this! You will not regret it. But do be sure to follow instructions. We have heard stories of people not bothering to be thorough when reading instructions toons on use that lead to serious issues for anyone using a pellet grill
John Van Cleave : Very good flavor from the BBQ
I’m very blessed on the flavor that the barbecue produces. But I set the temperature at 165* and the temperature go on up to 270* to 280* and does not drop to 165*.
Gerry Peak : Love this awesome Traeger grill!
I paid to have the grill assembled. I am not mechanically inclined. Neither can I cook. But my Traeger grill with Wi-Fi is a genius and cooks for me! I love it! Smoked two racks of ribs. Awesome! I can’t believe it!!!
Nick : Terrible Customer Service
Already had a smoker, bought this for the ease of use. Couldn’t get the app to work with the grill due to a glitch in the app. The app is what makes the monitoring so easy. The whole reason I bought the grill was for convenience but without the app I’d rather use my old smoker. Spent hours on the phone with customer service multiple times, multiple emails as well. Now they won’t even respond to my inquiries and it still doesn’t work.
C. G. Sullivan : I LOVE this grill
This is my second Traeger Pro 575. It is easy to use, has a large grill area, produces great flavor, is easy to control directly or from my phone on the other side of town, and now via Alexa. You can program complex cooks - like smoke for two hours at 180 degrees and then raise the temp to 225 degrees until the internal temp probe reaches 165. I use it to grill steaks and chicken like a regular grill and then smoke briskets, pork butts, and ribs for 8 to 14 hours. Did I say I LOVE this grill?
Kenn : Amazing Grill Awful Wireless & App
Wanted a Traeger for a couple of years, and finally got the Pro 575. It works very well......except the wireless connection. It was difficult to connect and even though the router was 10 feet away, still wouldn’t connect. I had to try dozens of times to finally get it to connect. The Traeger iPhone app doesn’t seem to allow you to reconnect, so you have to delete the grill and start over again if you lose the connection.
Bottom line - amazing grill, awful wireless and app. If all you need or want is the grill, this makes grilling incredible meat as simple as can be.
Stephen : Best Ever.
We would eat out practically every meal prior to purchasing our Treager. We have saved more than enough money in the last two months to pay for it. Definitely well worth your money.
Love it.
Bob Dean : No super smoke
I'm very happy was the Traeger 575, I just wish I would have known that it didn't have super smoke, I might have purchased the one that has super smoke, the 575 did not have it I wish I would have known how much better super smoke makes things taste. Everything I read no one mentions super smoke. I do like how well it's built; I use the Wi-Fi almost every time.
John Van Cleave : Very good flavor from the BBQ
I’m very blessed on the flavor that the barbecue produces. But I set the temperature at 165* and the temperature go on up to 270* to 280* and does not drop to 165*.

golf nut : Fantastic product, not so fantastic shipping
This is our second Trager and it is just wonderful. The grill does all that is promised and is much simpler than the generation one grill. Amazon was fantastic too, but the choice of shipper was not so. The grill weighs about 140 pounds and it was shipped with a trucking company. Amazon's contractor for the shipment turned it over to Estes Trucking for shipment. From Florida to Oregon it took over three weeks. No weather and no Christmas rush involved. It sat in Texas, then it sat in California for 8 days! Amazon thought it was at one destination. Estes thought it was at another destination. After numerous calls to the Amazon, the contracted shipper and Estes, the grill finally arrived. Absolutely love the grill. Don't think I will have Amazon contract to ship a heavy product again.
mtb12 : Great first impression
Received my greatly anticipated grill. Assembled in an hour, hooked up to Wifi instantly and performed burn in. Cooked first meal on it next day. I have to say I've been a little worried about all the reviews for temperature inconsistencies. Cooked great and the Wifi messages of cocking is awesome. Would highly recommend.

Plaster Disaster : Good product, not a smokey as I expected
Great product but it’s so efficient at burning the pellets that it doesn’t give much of a smoke flavor to food. The pellets smoke for a minute when the drop but then burn cleanly. It’s more of an outdoor WiFi oven than a smoker. I’ve bought a pellet tube to add some substantial smoke flavor during cooking but I could have done that on my propane grill as well. Aside from the surprisingly little smoke flavors, it’s a solid unit.

Sky Bath : Little smoke. dont get hot. all hype
Disapointing . very little smoke.. cant get hot enough to sear steak . temperature not stable at lower temps. need to buy cover and shelf. . chord too short. . I like my weber summit charcoal smoker grill much better..
Marino Gomez : Add a Great woody taste to your meat
With this Grill It’s taking grilling to the next level , I really love bbq’n in my Traeger , I recommended to everyone
Cellman000 : EZ assembly
The directions to assemble clearly were written by someone whos first language is English. Easiest grill assembly ever. Great taste and simple to use. Having some trouble getting the wifi to connect but I have not checked my router settings yet. Very Happy with this purchase.
Nick Fogard : Damaged grill and no showed for scheduled install.
Grill works great. No complaints there.
Scheduled the install for a Wednesday with family and friends planning to come over the next day excited to check out the new Traeger. Installer (Mike) never showed up for install window from 11-2 and never called to let me know he wasn’t going to show which would have been nice as I had to leave work to be there when he was supposed to arrive. I called Amazon support who said they’d have the installer call me, but that never happened. About 30 minutes after the install window closed, I received a text message that said the install had been rescheduled for the following Thursday which was a week too late.
Not one to
complain, I put the grill together myself using included instructions. This was fine except for the lost time spent in doing so that should have been done by the installer.
Upon opening the box I noticed the black paint had been scraped off various areas of the grill, see pics. I’m now concerned this will lead to rust on the grill in those locations.
I’ve been an Amazon Prime member for years and this is the first time I’ve written a negative review. I hope Amazon and Traeger will remedy this as I would love to promote this grill to friends and family to buy on Amazon, but I can’t in good conscious given the damages to the product and terrible install experience.
Thomas H. : Avoid purchasing this grill.
I could not get the grill to sync with my phone. I spent almost 3 hours on the phone with their “Legendary” customer service with no success. I’m not sure what their definition of “legendary” is but it certainly is anything but good service. Gave up in frustration and returned the grill.
Amazon Customer : Very good grill.
Great customer service when you can finally reach them. Make sure you have access to 2.4 GHz wifi service. When setting up your grill's wifi make sure you use your routers password, not your carrier internet account password. Turn the shipping box inside out to make the preprinted play house with roof for your kids or grandkids. The parts list shows one six pack but I only used half of one. The bottle holders in the packaging are clever. The optional front shelf is a must. Make sure you get a good outdoor cover for it. You can find a good one on Amazon for less than half the price of the Traeger brand. Highly consider the GrillGrate for searing and cooking in this pellet grill. The GrillGrate website is much better than picking pieces out on Amazon. Their website is grill specific and at the same or lower price. The True Value Hardware Grill Zone E'Z Legs & Wings rack is the best of them all. All the others had slots too wide to hold most chicken legs securely.
John Van Cleave : Very good flavor from the BBQ

James R. : Traeer Grill
High tech product. Has a lot of versatility. Clearly a superior product with a superior cost.
