The new MadBit Ned Rig, mushroom style jig kits offer exceptional value and versatility because each kit includes a total of 48 Ned Jigs that includes – 4 different colors (Black, White, Green Pumpkin and Chartreuse) and 4 different weights for various conditions - 1/16th, 1/8th, 3/16th & 1/4 oz.

There are three different Ned Rig Jig Kits in three different hook styles for various conditions. First is the standard mushroom style Ned Jig with a round bend jig hook with a built-in bait keeper. The second assortment uses the same round bend jig hook and bait keeper, but these jigs also have a weed guard making it possible fish this hook more effectively in heavy grass, around trees or other obstacles without losing your bait. The final assortment uses a EWG (Extra Wide Gap) hook style that offers a wider gap for even better hook sets and the EWG Style Ned Jigs can also be rigged weedless to make them more effective in heavy cover conditions. It says the weight of the hooks but what is the size? 1/0, 2/0, 3/0, 4/0???

Answer: I purchased the Mad Bite jig package in the EWG mushroom style so that my Ned rig TRD presentation is weedless. While not identified on the packaging, the size of the hook appears to be 1/0. Good luck!

Why do only the Chartreuse ones have the correct bait keeper? The others are almost impossible to use with z-man plastics.

Great little jig head for a fun technique to chase fish (Ned rig). However, it seems some things were missed by quality control - hook bends outside of the head and hook eyes not closed. For the most part, great kit; but those few that weren't built properly are likely to fail or end up in the trash.

Unfortunately these are garbage, really wanted to like these at this price but only 9 are usable. The lead is cracking, bait keepers are all over the place and most of the hooks are bent. The search continues for reasonably priced ned heads.

Been a ned rig user for a few years now. Have tried various methods to make the rig weedless. Madbite is on to something with the widegap EWG jigs. Think about adding additional jig head colors like red, purple, pink, etc.

Hooks are nice and sharp but the wire weed guards are weak. Therefore they hang up easily if you are fishing structure.

Incredible value for what you get. I ordered the weed guard version as well as the EWG version. All seem well built, and the eyes are all clear of paint. A few did get slightly beat up in the box so I needed to slightly straighten the hook and/or the weed guard. All in all, you can't beat these for the price.

These supposed hooks are so bad they are just cheap wire in the shape of a hook. These would bend if you caught a bluegill. When I opened up the box I noticed one of the hooks didn't look right so I got to looking at them and some of them are bent and these will be returned same day. These hooks are not hardened at all. The coating is falling off of brand new hooks. I'm sorry, I shouldn't even call them hooks.

For the price you can't beat these! 48 jig head of various weights and colors and styles! I chose the EWG because I fish around grass a lot and hate having to clean off an exposed hook after every cast. These hang up a lot less often! I was excited to buy these because I've recently challenged myself to improve my finesse game and these are going to be just the ticket!

I usually buy Flatland Tackle or Lifted Weedless hooks but these are so much cheaper. Some may complain about the quality of the hooks but Ned hooks are supposed to be thin. Personally I think these are just as good and sharp as anything you’ll find.

Just use it in my recent fishing trip and it works great. Friends are asking me what kind of hooks I'm using. I shared some Mushroom Head Jig from the kit. And they love had caught more fish using the same bait. Highly recommended.

These are decent and above Ned rig hooks. For the quantity, price, and the different colors I have not found a better price on Ned heads.

I will say some of the chartreuse and white hooks had paint chips on them. Also, the color on the chartreuse and white hooks had a more flat look compared to the glossy black and green pumpkin hooks.
