The new MadBit Ned Rig, mushroom style jig kits offer exceptional value and versatility because each kit includes a total of 48 Ned Jigs that includes – 4 different colors (Black, White, Green Pumpkin and Chartreuse) and 4 different weights for various conditions - 1/16th, 1/8th, 3/16th & 1/4 oz.

There are three different Ned Rig Jig Kits in three different hook styles for various conditions. First is the standard mushroom style Ned Jig with a round bend jig hook with a built-in bait keeper. The second assortment uses the same round bend jig hook and bait keeper, but these jigs also have a weed guard making it possible fish this hook more effectively in heavy grass, around trees or other obstacles without losing your bait. It says the weight of the hooks but what is the size? 1/0, 2/0, 3/0, 4/0???

Answer: I purchased the Mad Bite jig package in the EWG mushroom style so that my Ned rig TRD presentation is weedless. While not identified on the packaging, the size of the hook appears to be 1/0. Good luck!

Why do only the Chartreuse ones have the correct bait keeper? The others are almost impossible to use with z-man plastics.

Got these because they were a good bulk variety pack. Painting looks like it's sprayed on, but it does what it's supposed to do. I bought the EWG pack. A buddy of mine bought the weedless and we split the boxes down the middle and doubled up on the variety. Hooks are sharp. Haven't dedicated enough time to using them since the weather is warm and the weighted Texas rig is producing for me in my ponds, but it's comforting to have so many size options in both styles.

Great little jig head for a fun technique to chase fish (Ned rig). However, it seems some things were missed by quality control - hook bends outside of the head and hook eyes not closed. For the most part, great kit; but those few that weren't built properly are likely to fail or end up in the trash.

I usually buy Flatland Tackle or Lifted Weedless hooks but these are so much cheaper. Some may complain about the quality of the hooks but Ned hooks are supposed to be thin. Personally I think these are just as good and sharp as anything you’ll find.

Loved that these came in different colors in each of the different weights. I also like that fact that they use the normal weight fractions that follow most of the normal lead weights on the market. I got the EWG version. So far so good. I have been using then with a TRD Ticklerz and have caught five fish and my ticklerz is still fine. If I could change one thing, I would make the 90 degree bend in the hook slightly larger so you could get more of the hook into the soft plastic bait. It is a small bend so you get the hook into less than an eighth of an inch into the bait so it feels like it could get pulled off pretty easily.

As a bass fisherman that goes out 2 to 3 times a week I can tell you the EWG Neds are awesome! I would be considered by most as a high end gear snob, due to the amount of money I spend on gear and tools to bass fish. I was highly skeptical of the hooks for this price and can tell you I have been amazed of the strength and sharpness of these hoods. They are EWG Hooks which make them as weed-less as hoods can be. the yellow heads are deadly when the sun starts to go down! I fish local competition and have converted several other bass fisherman to these hooks! As a gear head I will tell you that you would pay at least a dollar per hook for this quality from any other brand!
