Answer: No these are lead jigs. They will definitely sink. They are made to replace sinkers.

How to determine bucktail jig weight for shallow and or deep water fluke fishing

Answer: Hi, I am honored to answer your question. Sized bucktail jigs from 1/4 to 1oz are excellent to use in shallow water, and from 1 to 2 oz are excellent to use in deep water.

Answer: the heavier the jig the deeper it will run also depends on if the water is flowing or still. When we are below the dam and they are letting water out we were using 3 to 4 ounce and if the water not flowing we have used 3/4 to 1 1/2 ounce. Hope it helps

White bucktail was different than in the picture. The picture shows it was supposed to have yellow on the cheeks. I prefer the all white jig, so that wasn't an issue, the real problem was that the bucktail hairs were much shorter than the other 2 bucktail jigs. It barely went further than the hook.
