Answer: Yes i do it all the time. Let it float and soak 5 minutes in the sink. Ready to prep and cook. Boiling would probably work too but now you've got to pot it on the stove and wait for a boil and maybe overcook. Use the sink. Simpler.

These are good heavy plastic and they worked fine and sealed perfectly and all the air came out as it should. This is a great value for large rolls, a little less convenient not fitting in the slot but I can work around that for the savings. Good deal

We like to buy food in bulk or premake a lot of things, so we use a lot of vacuum sealer bags. We seal so often that we actually have 2 sealers. I'm actually contemplating upgrading one of my sealers and giving one that I have to my brother.

These vacume bags are a great buy. They will work perfect for freezing my garden vegtables. I love that you make your own size. These are a bit thinner then the ones i had before but that shouldnt be a problem still thick enough that they wont get holes in them.
