Answer: Yes i do it all the time. Let it float and soak 5 minutes in the sink. Ready to prep and cook. Boiling would probably work too but now you've got to pot it on the stove and wait for a boil and maybe overcook. Use the sink. Simpler.

These rolls are big, so you won’t be able to put them in your Foodsaver dispenser slot, you will have to feed them in from the from to cut them and seal. These are good heavy plastic and they worked fine and sealed perfectly and all the air came out as it should. This is a great value for large rolls, a little less convenient not fitting in the slot but I can work around that for the savings. Good deal

These bags aren't as thick as the expensive name brand ones (if I remember correctly) but if you have an offbrand machine, you won't notice. Since my current machine is offbrand I am always concerned I'll get a bag too thick and it won't seal as well. These are thicker than another brand I used and these seal just fine.
The package contains 2 widths which is convenient - an 8" and an 11". I've only used the 11" so far, but I think both will work similarly.

These vacume bags are a great buy. They will work perfect for freezing my garden vegtables. I love that you make your own size. These are a bit thinner then the ones i had before but that shouldnt be a problem still thick enough that they wont get holes in them.

Update 7/10/21: I now have both sizes and the original review stands, excellent product. The smaller size is great for individual chicken breasts or hamburgers.
These worked perfectly and are large enough to make at least the width of the average gallon size bag. The three rolls will last me a good amount of time. There is a smooth side of the bags that is easy to write dates, descriptions, etc on.
