Place the open side of the bag onto the vacuum slot,make sure the edge is inside the slot .	Close the sealer lid and press until you hear the “click” sound.（Make sure to cover tightly, otherwise it will not operate normally)	Choose the appropriate mode,press the button.	Unlock the vacuum sealer from two sides and remove the sealed bag.

Update: 4/11/2021 I just used this vacuum sealer and it's not working properly. It did not get all the air out. I tried it twice, different bags, and the chicken I was vacuum sealing still had a air in the bag, the meat moved around. Very disappointed.

We’ve been using the Happy Seal Vacuum Sealer for about a month now, and we’re pretty pleased with it so far.

I’ve used it to seal raw chicken, and fish; I also used it to marinate some chicken.
The basic vacuum seal function is very good. I also really like the cutter that’s inside so I can trim my bags to the size I want before sealing it.

The instruction book isn’t as thorough as I felt it should be. There is a “Dry/Wet” button, I couldn’t find exactly what they meant by “Wet” in the instructions. From the description on the ad page it says it will seal “moist” foods. I wish I had looked at the ad page before I experimented to see if it would seal something wet, I was thinking it’d be great if I could seal soup in one of these bags….um….don’t try that.
I had a wet sloppy mess all in the machine, all over my counter, running on the floor….you get the picture.
I sealed up some chicken with a marinade on it to marinate it, and it kind of worked, but I did have a little bit of the liquid (there was very little liquid in it) that I can to clean out of the machine, not much, just a couple of drops. It does make me wonder just how “moist” of an item you can seal in a bag.

Unfortunately I don’t have any of the containers you can seal yet, I look forward to getting some, then I really can vacuum seal soup! And it will be a lot easier to marinate something.

Right now, this is a great little machine for vacuum sealing drier things, (raw meat worked well).

I’m taking off a star because I find the instructions lacking, and hard to read.
I’ve also found that you can get something comparable for a little bit less money. ($43.99 at time of review)
