I just bought this sealer and it won't work with avid armor bags. food saver bags almost melt in half when sealing. what bag do you reccomend?

Answer: I really don’t have a good answer to this. Are use the food saver bags, but they also melt. I am very unhappy with this product.

Does this model have a removable drip tray?

Answer: Yes, this model have a removable drip tray. Can be removed for a cleaning easily.

Answer: Yes it does. This unit works much better than the Food Saver we had for a similar price and you can clean this one. This one doesn't require a 40second cool off period in between seals. It was impossible to clean the Food Saver paddle switches on the model we had and just quit working because of it.

Can you use food saver rolls?

Answer: Our machine will work with seal bags with texture on the surface(like grid or dot texture). The textured Foodsaver rolls is ok.

Answer: Check to see if the bags you have can be used with the model number on your food saver machine. I had a roll of bags left from a much older food saver & they did not work.

A little tough figuring it out, directions could have been clearer (or a UTube by the manufacturer!). After several tries, I finally got the hang of it and packages were vacuum-sealed and easy to mark and store in the freezer. Going to try it on liquids next - nice option for freezing two months of food for travel in the RV.

Very well built. A very solid machine. I've gone through a number of machines and this one is the best I've ever used. One of the reviews said it was cheaply made. I'm sure they were not talking about this machine because it as solid as a rock. I do not write many reviews but I had to on this one.
