Has anyone used this to allow for wading with two rods? Keep one in the holder or having an extra holder while fishing with the other rod?

Answer: You probably could but then you would have a long rod sticking out to get your fly line tangled on. It’s just used to hold your rod while your tying knots or handling fish. Taking a second rod in a backpack is the only I found that works

Can you use this with a bait caster rod & reel?

Has anyone tried using this to allow for wading with two rods? (One in the holder while the other one is in use or two holders, one for each rod.)

Answer: I personally have not done it but have seen it done, using one rod while the other is pointed backward in the holder on the opposite side (casting with right hand, rod in rod holder in the left waste pointed backward). the only thing I noticed as it can be cumbersome walking as the second rod can hit the water surface or any shoreline vegetation so you would have to be cognoscente of this wading

Answer: Yep I have.I have a 3 wt dry fly rod and a 6 wt streamer rod that'll I'll switch between. If you put the rod in the holder with the tip facing backward it'll stay in place pretty well while you're walking or fishing.

Perfect ...I love this ! I have always made my own and still do, but this design works the best . used it yesterday and the day before ...cant fish without it now .

Helps keep your rod and reel out of the water. This is critical when its winter, freezing cold and you are trying to change out flies. Not all corks are the same so you have to find the right sweat spot to ensure your rod is secure.

I have just taken up fly fishing. I saw this item in a video that I was watching on fly fishing. I noticed the guy was never holding his rod when he caught one. There was one angle that showed this item on his belt. I bought it that night. This thing is awesome. Quality is great. Size is perfect. It don't get in the way. If you need to change flies it is great, hands free! Great idea. Must have!

Great idea and built well. I do wish that one of the holders was a bit taller then the other. When rod was installed facing forward the rod tip would eventually start to move down into the water. Didn’t matter how the handle was seated in the holder for this to happen. I still use it and recommend it to all my friends.
