Answer: I don’t remember any rubber grommets on the element but the only thing should be touching the element is the 2 feet.

Answer: This will fit your model smoker. I bought this element for my smoker and the temp. Only reaches 250 degrees. I recommend a 1600w heating element.
Answer: I have no idea if this will fit your masterbilt model. However the measurements for the element are on the Amazon site. If you have your old element measure it to determine the fitment. If not simple measure the area inside the box where the element would be placed. The legs on this universal replacement can be bent to allow clearance for rack placement if needed.
