Instructions for Vacuum Package with Vacuum Bags

Step 1: Press the release buttons on both sides of the machine and place the food in our food vacuum bag, allowing at least 2 inches of space between bag contents and top of the bag.

Step 2: Make sure you stretch the bag flat and fully place it at the suction groove. Lock the lid by pressing the two sides of this machine to buckle it tightly. ( Until you hear the "buckle" sound. )

Step 3: Press the "Vac Seal" button to begin the vacuum and sealing process. The appliance will automatically complete the full process. (Note: If you only need to seal the bag, please just press the single "Seal" button do not press the "Vac Seal".)

Step 4: When the "Vac Seal"/ "Seal" indicator light turns off, press the release buttons at both sides to unlock, lift the lid and remove the bag.

Is the heat seal tape supposed to be left in place when sealing the bags?

Answer: Yes, the tape should be always on the place what it located on the vacuum sealer. it's not allowed to take it out, only in the case of broken tape to replace.

What is the purpose of the heat seal tape?

Answer: The heat seal tape is very important for the heat performance, the tape covers on the heater unit to balance the temperature, we prepared the spare part of seal tape for prevent the tape wore out, so our customers can replace it real quick.

Can this sealer work with mylar Bags?

Answer: As long as your bags have patterns design on one side, it will work good with CILAVI vacuum sealer. Bag opening side is Maximum in 11.8 inches.

I was using vacuum sealers in the past few years, and my last one broke last week and when I shop at Amazon and I was attracted by the pictures of this Cilavi one. I am quite pleased by its outfit when I opened the box, not in a huge size and give me a hard time to find where to storage in the kitchen, but good enough for almost every food types.

I like those sensitive touch buttons, easy to choose the food mode, seal or vacuum seal. What's more, I tend to preserve cooked dishes or to save food, inevitably there would be with sauce or watery part, I found this trick either to use the CANCEL button really well that's when you saw the bag is about to get all air out and
that gives you a half second to be skillful enough to touch CANCEL button then to touch the SEAL button to get vacuum sealed, or you will get sauce all around inside the vacuum sealer chamber. I would use SEAL button only to just seal food if the food is too wet or too watery like fluid kind.

What quite nice are the replaceable parts together inside the package, like vacuum sponges, heat-resistant roll and some vacuum bags, that's very thoughtful. The sponges or heat rolls are quite hard to purchase a fit size, and it's not about where to purchase, indeed it can save my time and energy to search or compare.

I would say the machine is a fair one as I used it for a few times already, I hope this vacuum sealer would work well for a year or two as it works now.

It’s a sleek compact unit that doesn’t take up a lot of counter space. I bought it for use with Sous Vide cooking. It was perfect for cooking a Sous Vide steak. I didn’t have to try to weight down the package during the Sous Vide heating process. No mess. Great steak.

Why only 3 stars? The instructions were not just poor. They were terrible. When I opened the box, a bunch of parts fell out. Did I need them all? No. But the manual gave no hint of what they were. I am including a photo. I have figured out the parts, but no thanks to the manual. I learned I really didn’t need them.
The instruction manual was in such fine print that it was almost unreadable. It contains an illustration listing parts A through K, but the illustration is so poor you can’t see the letters. The bad English causes some of the instructions to be meaningless. There was some loose tape on the heater element that I thought might be just packing material. After posting two questions, I got this explanation from the vendor. "Yes, the tape should be always on the place what it located on the vacuum sealer. it's not allowed to take it out, only in the case of broken tape to replace."

I would raise the star rating if the vendor were to post online an instruction manual in good English designed for United States users. A good video would help.
