Answer: The bags are reusable. I don't know the answer about the food but I assume the food would be kept refrigerated (ice chest). In that case I would guess yes.

Answer: No.

How long can this mxbold vacuum sealer machine last?

Answer: The food vacuum machine can last for two hours after being fully charged

Do you have to use special bags w/ this?

Answer: The bags that come with it (and there are quite a few) are resealable/reusable and have a special valve for the vacuum pump. There may be other brands that will work, but they must have the vacuum valve.

Answer: My purchase was just for the Sous Vide bags, alone not the MXBOLD vacuum pump. I used different brand manual pump to extract air.

Answer: The model that I bought came with a small assortment of bags. Although washable and reusable( a couple of times depending on previous use). I bought additional bags.

Answer: Just reading these comments I'm guessing the water isolation is a feature of the pump to allow vacuum action but keep liquids out of the pump motor.

Answer: I would think to minimize the water intake while the air is being drawn out, other than that I'm not sure.

Answer: As the video shows. it is for sealing the bags. After the first use, I've found they're a little harder to seal by hand. I suggest lightly wetting the plastic before. It's gross, but for my clothing vacuum bags that I use for travel, I get some spit on there. It doesn't wear out the plastic nearly as fast. A little water is probably fine too.

Answer: Food vacuum bags can be used in boiling water or microwave ovens. If you want to try sous-vide cooking, I think it's just a good choice.

Answer: It is generally not recommended to store pure liquids. Other foods can be stored. For example, fruits, vegetables.

After charging, I unplugged the unit but the green light will not go out. I pressed down on lid, but still green after 30 min. Is this right?

Answer: Make sure any batteries are in correctly. Once you take the unit off the bag, press on the top (once, don't hold it down) and it should shut off. If you've done all that and it won't shut off it may be defective

How are the bags reusable if the sealer doesn't attach?

Answer: If the zipper opening of the bag does not work. Please contact our after-sales staff. They will replace you with new products for free

Answer: The bags have a one-way vent (looks like a little circle with a nipple) that the sealer goes over to vacuum out the air. You can actually hear the sealer "click" into place on the vent when it gets going. The vacuum releases when you unzip the bag. All you have to do is plop the sealer back onto the vent to suck the air out again.

Is the green light around the rim of the charger supposed to stay on when not in use?

Answer: No - make sure you push the top button down again if you see a light around the rim, otherwise you will run the batteries down.

Can you vacuum bags that have food + liquid marinades together?

Answer: Yes you can, but be aware that the vacuum is not designed to vacuum liquids. You would need to push the liquid as far away from the air in the bag and vacuum out the air. A little liquid doesn't hurt the vacuum but you need to be careful not to get very much.

Answer: You need to keep liquid from being sucked up into to vacuum unit. Tricky. I don’t vacuum really wet items. I do love it for the things I vacuum seal.

Answer: If there isn't a lot of liquid you can, otherwise it will get sucked into the vacuum. I've lightly marinated but I couldn't get all the air out due the small amount of liquid.

Ok first then I want to say is I didn’t get the item for free or a discount. I review things I buy to help you from buying something that doesn’t work. When I opened up the device I had my doubts because it was really small. I was wrong and that’s hard for me to say. lol. So I took pictures of a very large muffin before and after I used the vacuum. It took me a few times to figure out where it needed to be on the bag. I only used the muffin to see how powerful it was and yes I’m few impressed. Also I want to see how long it stayed sealed. So after 3 days it’s still sealed like it was. Hope this helps

Just another little gadget that I could probably live without but does help me during this odd times. It takes very little cabinet space which is is a huge plus for us that are buying more at a time to reduce our shopping trips, we are able to keep our food fresh for longer.
Its amazing how fast this little thing can suction and the bag design is standard so I can buy the suction bags on amazon or bed bath beyond. My only complaint is that I have to put the vacuum directly on the circle or else it won't work. I have all 3 sizes in this brand ,, love them ,, and share them as gifts with others. For me this brand is "THE STANDARD" and all other brands must measure up. I especially use them for Sous Vide. I use the tip from another review to cover the hole with a piece of packing tape after vacuum to prevent water leaking in. Works great.

I have a hard time getting this to take the air out. You have to get it just right on the bag to get it to work. Once you find the correct spot it doesn't take long. I live alone so when I buy a big pack of meat I divide it up in these bags and put in freezer. Then I just take out what I need.

I've had this for a few weeks. I've vacuum sealed a lot of things. Not everything does well when in an airtight bag.
I had Good Luck with, dry beans that were bought in bulk. White rice also brought in bulk. Both have remained airtight over the past few weeks. My favorite is, nice soft brown sugar.
As for fresh fruit and vegetables, not so good. They give off a gas and the bags do not remain air tight. Leafy greens are ruined right away. The moisture gets squished right out of them.
Oddly enough, my iceberg lettuce did last 2 weeks, didn't even turn brown on the edges. But I was careful, didn't squish it to tight.
Make sure that what you are vacuum sealing is dry.
YouTube has some things that I haven't tried yet. My avocados turned brown in the fridge after vacuum sealing. I haven't tried freezing them like the YouTube video. Anyway good luck.

Overall I am a very happy with this item. The vacuum sealer is really easy to use and it takes up very little space. I'm happy to have reusable bags. My only issue is that I don't find these bags very easy to close - as ziplock bags go, these can be a bit difficult.

Works great. Very easy to use. The bags are convenient. Just place the sealer on top of the hole and press the top and it sucks all the air out.

I use these on a daily basis and find them the best food saver value. Occasionally a valve may leak, use a piece of scotch tape tabbed at one end and the bag is good for many more usable times

So far so good. I had purchased another handheld vacuum sealer and the USB port broke off very easily. This one seems more sturdy and of quality. I have a regular vacuum seal machine but wanted to look into an alternative that was less wasteful with plastic. Really like the re-usable bags - I label each one (chicken, beef, etc.) and just wash them - so far they hold up pretty well. The vacuum seal is pretty easy to use - tip: keep the bag flat on a counter/table, and put the sealer above the air hole; it might take a few seconds but it will eventually suck up the air. It works just as good if not even better than my large vacuum sealer. Although this package comes with two sizes of bags, I only wish that one of them was an even larger size (gallon or larger) to fit bigger roasts. But generally the sizes would be adequate to do a large chicken breast or small to medium sized tri-tip.
