I put this little net to heavy use right away. Used it in the stream to catch crawdads. I scraped it on the rocky bottom, snagged it on the twigs, and abused it every which way. The net performed to my expectations and survived in decent enough shape to see another day. A bucket full of crawdads would attest to this story except that they perished in a boiling pot of water a few weeks ago.

The construction is solid. Netting holds up to heavy abuse as described above. Frame is sturdy metal wire and does not bend. The frame attachment to the handle is solid. It does not give and does not wiggle even after heavy use. The handle itself appears to be made of hardwood. Survived being submersed in water for 8 hours with no visible damage.

The price was better than what I saw them ask for similar nets in local brick and mortar store. Overall I found this net to be exactly as described and it performed exactly to my expectations. I would buy one again.

This absolutely does NOT float. I bought this particular net because it says in the title “floating” net. This is simply not true at all. My son is small and doesn’t really need it to float but I was super disappointed to watch it sink down into the pool and then in the sea!

Thus far, we are very pleased with the floating net. Our grandchildren like the net as it is colorful. It is easy to spot in the water with the bright colors. They play with the net on the beach. They also leave it in the water occasionally. Since it floats, we do not loose the net.

I purchased this bait net to use as an in-pool debris net. It's much easier to clean our deep end using a small net than the long-handled pool net. You can leave the flexible rubber cap on the handle so it will float, which is a nice feature for a bait net. The yellow handle is constructed of fairly thick, sturdy plastic tubing and should hold up well. The metal net frame and nylon netting also appear to be well made. The net hole are pretty small, so this should be great for any live bait. It really captures the fine debris in the pool. This suits my needs perfectly and I would definitely recommend this net for both fishing and other scooping needs.

Broke after only a few uses trying to catch some water bugs and small fish that easily fit into the net. It bent while the net was entering the water. Should last longer and be capable of withstanding hitting the water
