Sporty : Inexpensive, but extra work

I have a FoodSaver machine that works perfectly with FoodSaver material. But for an 8" wide roll at $0.27 per foot instead of $0.64, I decided to try the new material. I received the two 50' rolls and noticed that the rolls don't fit my machine. I had to divide each roll into two about 25' rolls. Later on, I sealed 4 bags with product, 3 of them leaked! I thought about returning, but that is a bit of a pain, so I decided to double seal the bottoms. So far (after about 40 more bags) no more leaking issues. Conclusion: It takes a bit more work treating this product for my FoodSaver, but the cost is less than half compared to the authentic product. Because this product is a little thinner than FoodSaver, I don't know yet if it will last as long in the freezer. Also no special writing strip on this material, but a Sharpie works anywhere on the bag.
