This shows both versions of the sling pack. Is there a way to get the larger one?

There are two different style sling packs on here with a $20 difference, I was just wondering what the difference is between the two?

Answer: Thank you for your question! The major difference between the two slings is cargo capacity. The Freestone Ambidextrous Tactical Sling has an 15L carry capacity while the Freestone Ambidextrous Sling 18L carry capacity.

Answer: Primarily size. The features are the same.

Is this waterproof?

Answer: No, the Simms Ambidextrous Tactical Sling Pack is water resistant not fully waterproof.

How do you remove the tippet strap to add tippet?

Answer: There is a Velcro closure flap on the inside of the outside pocket, once you open it you can untie the knots on the nylon cord that holds the tippets. Pretty straight forward process to swap out your tippet reels. Good luck and good fishing.

Answer: Under the tippet holder flap is a hidden opening held closed with Velcro. Peal it open and you’ll find the end of the tippet string.

Can you swing the pack with the net still in it’s holder?

Answer: The pack has been designed to support keeping a medium sized landing net in place when it's pulled forward. Please be aware that extremely large or long handled nets may become awkward to comfortably be slung forward.

Does it have place for rod tube ?

Answer: There are lash points in the front of the pack that can work for attaching a rod tube to the pack.

$279? Am i missing something? I purchased this for $89. The larger pack not the tactical.

Answer: Not sure why the price difference. I bought this pack 2 years ago for $89. I wouldn't pay $280 for it.

Where is the magnetic docking station?

Answer: I have the pack in the picture. The pack in the video is slightly different. There is no magnetic docking station on my pack. The pack in the video must be an earlier or later version than the one in the picture & the description.

Does it come with the tippet?

Answer: No it doesn’t, you have to provide that yourself.

Is this pack water proof

Answer: While this pack is not waterproof, it is water resistant. There is a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish on the pack.

Answer: This pack is not water proof. Simms makes several other packs that are but they are more expensive.

How water resistant is this pack? Is there a treatment used on the fabric or does it rely on how water resistant the fabric is on its own?

Answer: Definitely not water proof. The fabric repels water for the most part.
