Can you use these in a grill or smoker

Answer: I haven’t tried that, but I’ve used them in both an oven and air fryer. I would think they would hold up fine in a smoker or on a grill on indirect heat.

LilacLadyD : Does the job (had to modify)

I found it very hard to find dehydrator racks for my Ninja air fryer/dehydrator (not the foodie one). I measured & based on the size of these thought they would fit. I cannot fit the bottom base rack in due to how the sides fit into the base (the way the wire is bent to hold the sides, it sticks out too far). My husband took the sides off the base so we could use still use them since I couldn't find anything else. We use the sides & the other levels which fit perfect with more than enough room. It is not too tall with or without the base. I took off a star due to the fact that the base wires to hold the sides made the bottom part non-functional, but only one because I can still use the sides & other 4 racks, and the fact that there weren't any other choices at time of purchase.

1. Love that these can go in the dishwasher and clean up really nicely that way!
2. They just about fit in the NuWave air fryer. It’s not perfect, but they work! It’s so much better so we can cook more food at once!

I chose this dehydrator rack because I wanted to dry some herbs and fruits but I didn't want another large appliance taking up space in my kitchen. By using this rack I can use my Foodie that I already have. They work fine and are easy to clean, I just pop them in the dishwasher. Don't expect to be able to make enough for a large family but it's the right size to make enough for one or two people.

Silicone on the handles and somewhat locking base are useful. But the base was a bit hard to unlock. The surface wires of the racks were thin and rough. They can exfoliate your skin if you rub your hands on them. I sent it back for a replacement but replacement was as rough, and hard to unlock the base.
