I actually purchased this knife to use when I'm cutting up honeydew, cantaloupe and watermelons. The slight bend in the blade works beautifully around the rind and the length is perfect as well. This knife is very well made, super sharp and the sheath protects me and the blade :)

This isnt the knife you want . i really liked the way it looked and the fact that it was supposed to be sharp as a razor. But it isnt all that sharp , the blade is flimsy , and you cant filet the meat from the skin unless the knife edge is off of the table because it is too bulky . not a great product .

Tried the knife today and kids and I really like the safety feature to "snap" the cover. Easy to put the cover on and take off. Cutting was nice as well, and the knife came sharp. We have a number of them we bring for fishing, but this one may become our go to one - mainly because of the easy safety feature. Once we get a chance to use it on fish will write an update.
