Answer: If you can I’ve never figured it out, I’ve just adapted to using Celsius. That aside it’s a great dehydrator that I use all the time. It does take up a lot of counter space but if you plan on using it frequently it’s well worth it.

I have dried tomatoes, made jerky twice, and made the most delicious yogurt! Oh.. and I dried thinly sliced chicken breasts for treats for my three dogs! The shelves clean very easily and I love the timer. My old dehydrator had to be watched like a hawk so that my food items didn't dry completely out. This is a great product.

Parece secar parejo, no he notado ninguna diferencia entre los alimentos que están al fondo de las charolas en comparación con la parte de adelante. Tiras de melón de 2-3 mm de grosor quedaron deshidratadas hasta la consistencia de piel en 4 horas.

La construcción es de plástico, con unas escasas tiras de aluminio reforzando los puntos débiles. El plástico parece más o menos resistente, pero en general, la estructura se siente algo endeble. Hubiera sido muy útil si contara con una charola removible en la parte de abajo para control de goteo. El panel de control funciona bien, pero como en muchos de estos aparatos, se encuentra en la parte de atrás, haciendo más difícil el acceso. No hay alarma audible al terminar el tiempo seleccionado; la unidad simplemente se apaga.

OJO: las rejillas de acero inoxidable tienen muchas pequeñas rebabas de metal en los puntos de soldadura, las cuales deben ser limadas muy cuidadosamente previo al uso del aparato, para evitar lesiones a las manos (o peor todavía, que se rompan y se queden incrustadas en los alimentos). Éste es un riesgo a la seguridad de los usuarios que no debe ser ignorado. Por último, en una de las rejillas hubo un alambre suelto (por soldadura fallida).

Por estos últimos defectos, le quité una estrella; de lo contrario, le hubiera dado 5.

Do not buy!!! It’s a piece of crap. I got it April 24 and by may 3 couldn’t return it. Also this is a Dropship company out of China. There’s no company name on it because of that. The dehydrator was broke and we never got to use the dehydrator. There is no number to contact the manufacturer for help. So if it’s broke you can’t get ahold of anyone for repairs and ya just waisted it.

Dear MR.J : Awful quality control, no drip tray

I bought this JAYETEC food dehydrator for my wife and we have it for 6 months. She barely uses it(4 times)!. It is a total mess to clean because the designer forgets to put a drip tray and most fruit will DRIP.! And you don't want to know how difficult it is to clean once the liquid is there. And you want to be careful with the way you clean it, it might just stop working after all. I've reached them 10 times and never really get back. Just a waste of money. What is good? you get ten useless trays.

I love dried fruits. My friend used to have a dehydrator and made dried fruits for me. I decided to buy one here. It turns out higher expectation than I thought. It has 6 trays and they are all stainless steel, not plastic. I can also set the time and temperature, then just multitasking or go to bed. Dried fruits will be ready after I wake up. The most important thing is Quite! I turned it on for the whole night but did not bother me at all to sleep because it makes very low noise.

The Dryer is a fine-looking, stainless-steel case, and the dried mango has been tested and baked to good effect, except that the bigger the slice, the longer the baking time (the dried mango took me 18 hours to bake) , which requires patience. Grounding is recommended before use. Good quality, high drying rate, low power consumption, very easy to use.
