Our unit is in Celsius. Deal breaker? No. Because thankfully my husband and I are capable of doing a little math to translate our Fahrenheit to Celsius.
The manual that came with it told us how to dehydrate, but not how to actually SET the dehydrator. (you have to hold down the start button until the timer starts flashing, then you can set and go through each number kind of like an alarm clock.)
The minute we had it running to test it, it was pretty quiet. I will have no problem with it running in our house on a regular basis.
We almost lost the door handle, our fault for not looking more carefully when we opened it all up. it was wrapped in white, surrounded by white styrofoam.

2020 : Broken thermostat
The size is good, which I really like, but the thermostat was broken and did not work properly to provide accurate temperature control. The product also smells like desktop computer, and after heating it for several hours at the highest temperature did not dissipate the smell. Had to return. I am giving 2 stars because the size is very big.

El deshidratador funciona bien, hasta donde he podido comprobar. Parece secar parejo, no he notado ninguna diferencia entre los alimentos que están al fondo de las charolas en comparación con la parte de adelante. Tiras de melón de 2-3 mm de grosor quedaron deshidratadas hasta la consistencia de piel en 4 horas.
La construcción es de plástico, con unas escasas tiras de aluminio reforzando los puntos débiles. El plástico parece más o menos resistente, pero en general, la estructura se siente algo endeble. Hubiera sido muy útil si contara con una charola removible en la parte de abajo para control de goteo. El panel de control funciona bien, pero como en muchos de estos aparatos, se encuentra en la parte de atrás, haciendo más difícil el acceso. No hay alarma audible al terminar el tiempo seleccionado; la unidad simplemente se apaga.
OJO: las rejillas de acero inoxidable tienen muchas pequeñas rebabas de metal en los puntos de soldadura, las cuales deben ser limadas muy cuidadosamente previo al uso del aparato, para evitar lesiones a las manos (o peor todavía, que se rompan y se queden incrustadas en los alimentos).
