Answer: No it is NOT STRECTHY!! I was very disappointed because of this.

Answer: Hello, it is 11.5 inch x17 inch when it folded. Bigger bag probably better.

Answer: No, doesn’t float. The net is high quality Nylon that would probably float on its own, but the frame would not float.

can this hang from back of vest while folded?

Answer: Yes...I use it for bass fishing but it is totally built and designed for fly fisherman to have attached to their vest.

Answer: I don’t think it is designed to. But if you have something to attach it with, it will because it is very light and has a small lanyard loop meant for your wrist you can probably use to attach it to the vest.

Answer: The handle are made of High-density carbon fiber. Very sturdy. I have landed some baitfish without any trouble.

I had high hopes for this net. The seam around the bottom of the net snagged with the hook on the first trout caught. I had to cut the net to remove the trout. Don't buy this net for catching and releasing trout or any fish. It may be rubber but hooks easily snag and seat into it.

Pro: I love that the netting is rubber (perfect for small/ medium fish that are jumpy) and the holes aren't as big. Little trout that you catch will never fall through i can guarantee! The net is more wide than deep which is perfect for quick photo shots and getting the hooks out.

Con: i've attached this to my waders and sometimes it tends to get in the way. the strap is alittle long and I've stepped into it and on it a couple of times. If the unhinging system locked for the handle that would make things perfect!!

I've only had this for a little while, but I'm just happy to have found a reasonably sturdy net for my kids to use pond-exploring and fishing. Normally the exposed netting looped over the metal circle is quickly worn through, here the net is not exposed in the opening of the net, but covered with plastic or silicone. Hopefully it will hold up to all the mud-scooping that takes place!

I got the chance to use the net on a snapper fishing trip last week. What I like about the net is that the handle folds, making it low profile and easy to carry. I was able to land fish and not get my hooks stuck in the net which is a big plus in my book. The mesh of the net has a rubber coating on it so it doesn't tangle with hooks or harm any fish you want to release. It's light weight and very strong, making it ideal for wade fishing. For the price you can't beat it.

My favorite feature is the folding handle it allows me to carry it easily in a backpack. The handle fits right in my fishing rod holder on my kayak. Light weight and high quality netting. Definitely worth the price in my opinion.

I have examined this very reasonably priced net critically and closely. I believe that it will last very well. The hoop that holds the net is smooth extruded black anodized aluminum. This aluminum hoop mounts into a heavy plastic block that I believe will be very durable when I look at the heft of the plastic. The net is tough feeling fiber of some type that feels very sturdy. The netting is rubberized and appears to be very tough and yet it should be easy on the fish so they can be safely released without harm. I am impressed by the small hole size in the netting. I measured the oval shaped holes at approximately 1/4" X 3'16". This should let me use this for netting minnows as well as landing larger fish. The netting is held in place in the hoop very securely and all edges are hidden and protected within the aluminum hoop. The stitching is well done and well finished. It appears to have great lasting strength. The 8" folding handle folds very nicely and securely it is easy to unfold using just one hand. It should be very easy to store out of the way on my fishing boat.

I do wish there was some type of belt clip on the net frame for stream fishing but I am sure it will be easy to rig this little beauty with a lanyard and clip to take care of that. I will be shocked if I don't get years of enjoyment from this net. I will add to this review if it disappoints in any way but I do not see that happening. I am ordering another of these right away. This net went above and beyond my expectations! I have used it in the river of streams trout fishing, on a kayak saltwater fishing for sea trout and at the pond fly fishing for bass and bluegills. It has stood up to every situation. It has a rubber coating over the net so it protects fish slime. It is light and easily holds to my backpack. I also took a few tumbles in the river and it didn't break! So I am very impressed!

Great net and the rubber coating makes it much better than other nets that I have used for trout fishing. Only drawback is the string. There is no clip that comes attached so you'll likely need a carbiner and the string doesnt really have much stretch or length to it like previous nets Ive used so it makes it a little more difficult than it should be to land trout once I attached the net to my vest. However I see this being less of an issue if you are using this on a kayak or boat or simply in a circumstance where clipping the net to something is unneeded

Be careful with barbed hooks, Barbs can still get stuck in the net unless my other rubber coated net and can be a pain to take out. It may also rip apart the net if you are not careful.

I bought this net specifically for the walleye run. My buddies all told me is was too shallow of a net for walleye, but they soon changed their minds when I was able to land and quickly remove my fish, while they were dealing with the fish flopping around and getting itself and the hook tangled in their big baggy net. Its also very light weight. I put a carabiner on the handle strap and attach it to my waders so it's right there when I get a fish.. When we were leaving our fishing spot they were all asking where I got my net. I'm very happy with it.
