How durable is the PVC, is it stonger than rubber?

Answer: The PVC net is more durable than rubber. I have been using mine nearly every week for over 3 years and it's still intact. My husband had a black rubber net that had developed several breaks (UV damage from the sun). He lost it last month. We'll be replacing it with this one.

Answer: Depends on how you take care of it. I have had mine going on 2 yrs. now. About every 6 months I spray it down with silicon and I don't leave it out in the sun. I have not had a problem yet. I have never owned a rubber one so I can't make a comparison.

Answer: Very durable. I think it is stronger

How deep is the net?

Answer: I'm not sure what the depth is. However, I am a little disappointed that it is too shallow to fit a 30 inch redfish in it....or any fish longer than 30 inches. But it is light-weight, and hooks don't get stuck in it. It is a great net for smaller fish.

Answer: Not very deep, I added a picture to my review showing a 14 inch largemouth bass in the net.

I love the net, size and features along with price. But this rubber STINKS !!! It smells like burning rubber any time it is in the car and it is completely obnoxious to the point I don't even want to bring the net when I go fishing. STINKS STINKS STINKS.

CRAPPIE FISHERMAN : Great Net--Tangle Free Net SO FAR

This net is a lot better than the cloth nets. I have dip up over 100 Crappie and Bass with it and have not had one tangle with the line or hook caught in the net. I am sure it will at some point but so far so good. Going to order 2 more nets because my friends that fish with me like it also.
I had rather be fishing than trying to untangle the line in the net. GREAT NET

It is a great fishing net for fish anywhere from 2-12pounds I don't know if I would test it on anything bigger than that. Was a little flimsier than I thought but super light to carry because of the aluminum ! Great plastic mesh net by the way though, good size too !

I love this net, it feels and looks much nicer than what we paid for it! I have several nets for fly fishing and landing nets for the boat, but this is my favorite. It looks and feels well made, and I am impressed by the quality. It is much nicer than I expected for the price I paid. If I knew how nice it was, I would have expected to pay much more. The rubber net is especially nice when I catch large fish that I want to release because the fish don’t get hurt. I also love that my hooks do not get stuck in the net.

I already use this to catch seven trout this season and it's just started. It's the perfect width to thread a pool noodle through and fits in a kayak rod holder nicely. Perfect for stalker rainbow trout and other smallerish fish.

The hoop has 2 screws holding the hoop to the handle. One was missing and the other was stripped. I re-drilled the missing screw as the existing hole was misaligned, and found a larger screw for the stripped hole. All materials are light duty! this was easier than returning for another net.
