Will the clip be secure on a 1.5" belt?

Answer: I have found this to NOT be secure on my belt. I’ve stopped using it. One side disengages and the whole thing start flopping. It’s a no-go. YMMV.

Answer: Yes, that belt should work well with this net holster.

Answer: Yeah, good question and the obvious answer is that the closer the width of the belt to the width of the metal opening, the tighter the holster will be. I wear mine on the 1" strap of my Fishpond Rio Grande Wader Belt and it "bends" it slightly. Great, great product!

Answer: Yes, it will work with belts up to 2". As for "secure", be sure that the fabric is velcro-ed well.

what size belt does it fit ? What are the dimensions of this item?

Answer: Overall the dimensions are 3.5"W x 3" L. The belt opening is 2".

Where is this made?

Answer: I believe it’s made in New Zealand . The Smith Creek website says it’s handcrafted there. The net holster works well especially when using a HD police style belt

Does it work with a magnetic release and cord?

Answer: The Smith Creek Belt holder works great in place of magnetic releases and cords. Yet, if you have your magnetic release attached to the top of the net, the Smith Creek holder will work.

Love this product! Allows me to fish without a vest/pack/sling and still have my net handy. Also great when I wet-wade as I attach it to my wader belt which I wear always. Awesome!

This net holster simply didn't work for me. If the net gets caught on a branch (as it did when I was using it) the velcro that holds the holster loops simply lets go, dropping your net out onto the ground. Fortunately I discovered this quickly and it was a short walk back to get me net. I ended up just tucking my net handle in my wading belt.

The other issue I had with it is that if one is using a sling pack, both the net and the pack take up the same real estate on your back.

I would not recommend this product.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my son, who is a fly fishing fanatic. He loves it, says it works great and keeps his hands free to do other things while he reels in a fish. It also keeps his net out of the way of trees,etc when he is hiking to a river. He recommended it to all his buddies, and several of them purchased it also.
My sons says there is nothing else like this on the market. I think it would be a fine purchase for any fisherman (or woman)!
