Awesome fishing pliers built well.

It’s a gift for my grandson so I won’t know if he likes it or not until he opens it up Christmas morning but he’s the one that picked it out so I’m sure he’s gonna like it

I bought these because I have Shimano products, and expected these to live up to my prior experiences. The serrations in the lower jaw do not extend to the tip of the jaw, making it virtually impossible to grip a #1 or #2 split ring - it simply keeps slipping off ! After multiple attempts to get them to work I became so frustrated I decided to send them back. If you want an outstanding pair of split ring pliers go to EGO Fishing and pick up their stainless steel version - I got it in the mail yesterday and the lower jaw serrations go all the way to the end of the jaw and they will open a #0 split ring with ease. It is $10 more than the Shimano pair and is worth every penny !

Does the job intended. We will see on durability. Going with 5 stars because I don’t see from construction that this wouldn’t hold up over time but will amend if needed. Doubt it will be needed.
