Answer: The main difference between upgrades and classics is the appearance .Upgraded one( ABS), original (ordinary plastics).

Answer: I would t think so. Perhaps a seal a meal type thing for liquids.

Does it seals well mylar bags like it Supposed to ?

Answer: Work very well! Set the correct setting for bag thickness, press down until light goes out and release. Works perfectly for my 3 mil mylar bags. Caution, setting the temperature to high and it will melt all the way through.

I needed a sealer for packaging baked goods, and this item is perfect. It has an easy to use handle that allows you to keep the package steady in one hand, and raise the handle with your free hand. It also has a heat control knob that can help control the heat for bags that require different temperatures. Overall it's a well-built sealer, at a great price.

There is nothing much to like about this product very cheaply made plastic construction also fragile it will break if the sealing arm is moved to much to one side would definitely save your money to get one of better quality

Don’t waste your time or money, even at max setting it would only heat 3-4 seconds. Had to cycle 4-5 times to get it to seal. I sent it back!

I do like how cheap it was in comparison, but let me say it does also feel as cheap as it costs. It does however work. I’ve seeled about 200-250 bags so far and it still works exactly the same as bag #1.
The only thing I really don’t like about it is the activation point. The heating element turns on at a certain point of lowering the lever to compress the bag you’re sealing. This one seems to turn on about 1” from closed so you have to close it fast for it to work.
Easy to get used to but it would get 5 stars if maybe it had an external activation button instead.
Oh well I still like it.

Great product exactly what I needed. Very versatile due to the heat adjustability. Also very convenient to have replacement parts on hand.

This sealer works great, it melts the seal off quick, no smoke or funny smell and the seam holds up to being heat shrunk very tight. Of course, this requires good PVC heat shrink bags but, with the right materials in place, this thing works perfectly.

As long as you remember to wait a few seconds after the light goes off from the heating process, you'll be happy with this. I had thought it would seal and burn through enough that you can tear it off, but it doesn't. Once sealed, the shrink wrap bags I use have to be trimmed with scissors before sealing.

Great for resealing open bags. We just keep it in pantry and use as needed. Just plug it in and leave it. It only activates when you push down the heating element. Has saved a bunch on zip lock bags.

eric : Works well, takes time to figure out proper heat settings

This little sealer works well on a variety of plastic bags and shrink wrap. It doesn't have to warm up, you just plug it in and when you press down on the top, it activates and seals in a couple seconds. I've experimented with different temperatures and times and if you use the same material, once you get it set, you just leave it there and it seals perfectly every time. If the temperature is too high, it will melt through the bag. This also can happen on very thin plastic, but I was able to lower the temperature and seal those with some practice as well.

The metal part of this unit feels very nice with a high quality powder coat paint finish. The power cord and temperature knob do have a cheap feel but it doesn't effect how the unit works so it's no big deal. One very cool thing about this unit is it comes with a spare heating element so if you do damage the original somehow, you can easily replace it.

There are holes on the bottom of the unit that look like it's wall mountable, and I guess you could do that but those are just vent holes for the heat to escape. This works best on a hard flat surface and you don't have to press down too hard to get a good seal. Good product and for bags wider than 8 inches, you can seal half and turn it around and do the other half. Bags larger than 16 inches will be a bit trickier and you should probably consider a longer sealer if you need to do that. Good product, I use this much more than I thought I would for all sorts of things.
