Answer: Lugg around? Are u serious, you act as if they are cinder blocks your carrying. AAA are more readily avaible n sold everywhere. Not to mention that with usb batteries, once they are dead, which they will die n be useless after so many hours, you cant change them. Lugg around, hahahahaha. Silly person.

Definitely getting bang for your buck, however it takes a few slow, gradual swipes to ensure a proper seal. Love the magnetic strip, allowing it to stick almost anywhere in the kitchen.

It only looks convenient and easy to use, but it’s not. It’s a gimmick! If you roll up the top part of the chip and use a plastic clip or rubber band, it will be more convenient and just as effective as this product. After a dozen uses, the heating element builds up layers of burnt packaging making it ineffective. Save your money and save some time. Use a rubber band or plastic chip clip.

This seals bags nicely. Practice high up on the bag so if you hold it too long in one place you can try again. However when you go to re-open them be careful, many of the reseal‘s have ripped down the side. Once I remember to use the slicer to make a new opening it will be perfect.

I am trying to reduce my need for single use plastics. I like to remove food I need and reseal in the original packaging. Often this is for freezer food. I used to have something like this and wore it out. I moved and this was purchased to replace what I had. THERE IS A LEARNING CURVE. Depending on the thickness of the bag you are using, you need to move faster or slower. I sometimes run this over the bad twice to be sure no leaks. But it works if you take the time and run it over twice. In the beginning you will either do it for too little, then too much and have a hole in the bag. I trim my bag, if needed, and leave room to run it twice.

Even though they were not rechargeable as the description says, which is the whole reason I ordered these instead of any others, it did work decently once I scrounged around the house to find 2 AA batteries. I’ll keep searching for one that doesn’t require batteries and then return these.
If you don’t have kids who leave you battery-less most of the time, this will work great for you! It’s not complicated to use, you just need a little patience and practice to find the right speed to slide it. If I didn’t expect something different, I would give the product itself 5 stars.
Side note, the box it was delivered in even had the warning that lithium ion batteries were in this package......

I love this little thing! I much on many snacks on my job & store them in my car at the end of my work day. This little thing is great for sealing my bags & making sure they won’t come open.
But, for clarity. The sealer end is most effective if you pinch it to your bag, wait 3-4 secs and then pull it across. The sealer only activates when squeezed. To prevent burns I am sure.

This product is great if you use it correctly which I will explain. So what I believe is giving people a hard time with this sealer is that you may be using it incorrectly. I'm gonna show you what I did to get the best results. First things first, the only plastic containers that this will work on is thin light plastic bags such as frozen vegetable bags, chip bags, and cereal bags amongst others. Second, is the method of using the product. What I do is make sure to use the side with the heater and put it on the very edge of the bag so that only half of the heater is on it and sqeeze the sealer firmly while holding the bag then move the sealer slowly across the bag in as straight of a line as possible then pull it off of the other end. If there are any areas that were missed you can go over then again. I sincerely hope this helps anyone in doubt of this product.

It’s taken time to get used to, but I like it. I find it hard to just slide the heat on the plastic. I find that it does better if I use a staple motion on the seal and then go back and use the heat to slide it. The battery compartment is hard to open (I broke part of the cover trying to open) but I’m practicing. Batteries are a tight fit. I try using it until I feel comfortable.
