Questions about iTouchless (2-Pack) for Airtight Food Storage Saver, Reseals Snack Handheld Heat Bag Sealer, 2-Packs
Q:
Any tips on making a wider seal? I get a super-thin line that usually cuts the bag instead of sealing it.
Answer: Try pulling the sealer across the bag a little quicker. If it's done very slowly, it applies more heat than is needed.
Answer: Drag it across for a wider line.
Answer: mine constantly did the same thing. I returned it.
Q:
Will it work for sealing ice pops?
Answer: It worked for me. Just try pulling the sealer across the bag at an even pace, not too fast and not too slow.
Answer: No it work only for a limited time and stop working
Answer: It didn't for me, that's what I bought it for
Q:
Has anyone tried this on dog food bags?
Answer: This is what I want to know. I'd be buying it specifically for that purpose....I buy the bigger bags of food for economy but can't use them fast enough before they get buggy unless I put them into different sealed storage containers.
Answer: Has anyone gotten these to work at all?
Q:
When opening seal, does the material pull apart cleanly or does it rip so that it creates new edges at the seal?
Answer: It creates new edges and seal. I love it.
Q:
Does this item come in giftable separate packaging? I want to keep one and give the other as a Christmas present.
Answer: I do believe they do. Mines came separated.
Answer: Yes, but I don't reccomend them because the batteries have to be removed after every use. There is no on/off switch.
Answer: Yes.
Q:
Will this work on craft paper bags?
Answer: Probably not as it will just burn the bag. As a heat sealer, it will only work on things it can melt
Answer: No, I do not believe it will. I haven't got it to work on any form of plastic. It will not seal paper.
Answer: No it is made for plastic products.
Q:
what size batteries?
Answer: you will need 2 AA batteries, enjoy
Answer: (2) AA batteries
Answer: Double A (AA) Batteries
Answer: (2) AA, it's mentioned in the item description
Q:
Can this be used on ziploc bags?
Answer: Yes, you can use it with zip-log bag as well .
Answer: I never tried it on a zip lock bag but I'm sure it would work. I tried it on a sleeve of crackers and it worked.
Answer: It will work on most plastic bags... I suggest you practice so you can figure out how to get the results and appearance you want... ALSO... remember this is a light weight hand held that seals about an inch at a time...
Answer: Yes, but it at take awhile for your technique. You need to make a good slid line when using it.
Q:
Would it work on electronic anti static plastic mylar bag?
Answer: Hey NicholasS,
Answer: they didnt work for me at all...so my answers is NO!
Q:
does this work on plastic bags of all kinds? I have plastic bags that I cut off the top to make it even and want to seal some clothes.. will it work?
Answer: Yes it does. It takes a couple tries to get used to using the device. Find a bag to practice on before sealing the bag you wish to seal.
Answer: I have only tried it on bags of chips, but I do cut the bags when the chips get low and reseal the shorter bag.
Answer: As long as the bag material can be heat sealed/cut using heat it should work.
Answer: I had to return mine. They didn’t work on anything.
Q:
is there a warranty ?
Answer: I don't know if there's a warranty, but I have had mine for about a year and they are working just fine. And for the price you just can't go wrong. They work so well for the use that I need them for.
Answer: No warranty and NOT GOOD, got them as stocking stuffers, never worked, but by then I couldn't return them.
Answer: I don’t know but I’m returning it. It takes too long to heat up to be practical to use. The seal is very this and barely holds at all. ????
Answer: Almost assuredly no. These are simply constructed heat sealers, rather than a sturdily built appliance intended for years of reliable use. It most likely costs under one dollar US to fabricate. It struggled to seal even flimsy plastic.
Q:
how long does it take to heat up
Answer: 3 seconds for regular use with brand name batteries such as Duracell
Answer: Hold it down a few seconds before u slide it down the bag. So a few seconds
Answer: It takes seconds. You will love it.
Answer: Don’t waste your money.
Q:
Can you reseal plastic tampon wraps with this?
Answer: I doubt it. These are extremely poor quality, they hardly seal Glad bags without numerous repeat run
Q:
someone has a photo of how to place the batteries? Cannot get it to work!
Answer:
Answer: Make sure they are fresh batteries because I put used batteries in mine and it wouldn't work then put fresh batteries in and it started working.
Answer: I'd have to find them; I was so upset with myself for paying for the trash it is, I threw them in a drawer or shelf. Sorry no help.
Q:
Is it made in China?
Answer: I am sorry I didnt look if it was but I bought it for my son and he loves it. My guess on how it was boxed would be yes.
Q:
How do you use this? like you would a stapler in and out or ziploc run it along the opening?
Answer: More like a Ziploc. But really more the store brand type that you have try go over three or four times before you actually get it to close. And even then it’s questionable.
Answer: I couldn’t get it to work. Wondering if this is a useless thing and if I was duped into buying it. As for as I could tell, it doesn’t function at all. Must return.
Q:
Is there a rechargeable one?
Answer: No.
Q:
Does this work with current or batteries?
Answer: Batteries. Unlike the other responder, I've had great luck with mine, and the batteries I put in this summer are still working fine. I don't know if this is any different than the other responder, but we keep the fold down plastic flap which keeps the plates separated folded up, in place, whenever we're not using it.
Answer: Greetings Emily--Powered by 2 AA batteries (not included)
Answer: Batteries, and the do not last that long. About a month Max.
Answer: Batteries
Answer: Battery
Answer: Batteries
Q:
Where is this item manufactured?
Answer: This item is manufactured in China
Answer: In someone's basement using spate parts from 1980's technology and super glue. No just kidding. I didn't keep them long enough or cate enough to check. They just don't work as well as I needed them to. I wasted my money so you don't have to.
Q:
How long do you have to wait between uses? I package in bulk using my Foodsaver. Foodsaver can't keep up.
Answer: You don't have to wait at all, just carry on sealing.
Answer: this did not work for me....melted through bags leaving holes.
Q:
Does it also seal wax/parchment paper?
Answer: I haven't tried with mine but I am sure it will not work with wax paper
Answer: I gave these as gifts and they did not work...very embarrassing
Q:
Will it work on thicker plastic, like cereal bags?
Answer: It works well on Cereal Type bags, I use it all the time for Ritz and Cereal bags. It has issues with Ziplock sandwich (without the zip) type bags though.
Answer: We use them on ziplock, cereal and even doritos bags.
Answer: It will on most but you may have to heat it up longer (5-8 seconds) and hold the seal longer.
Q:
Is it difficult to unseal
Answer: This product was not difficult to unseal or to reseal. just the right size.
Answer: Since this product seals by heat instead of glue, it makes it difficult to reopen items.
Answer: I had to return them because they burnt through the bag and didn't seal it completely and no you could pull it apart very easily.
Answer: Not as long as you have scissors. I have never tried to pull apart.
Q:
In the video, why does it cut the bag with water, but not cut any other bags?
Answer: I believe it has to do with the thickness of the bag and how long you hold the sealer. I've found that there are certain types of bags this won't work well on, and others work great!
Q:
I can’t get this to heat up at all. yes, i’ve read the directions. i’m holding it for 3 seconds (and beyond) and it’s not heating up at all. any tips?
Answer: Make sure the black safety bar is down and that the batteries are new, brand name, working and are installed properly. If the unit still doesn't work, contact the manufacturer at customersupport@itouchless.net.
Answer: You need to flip the cap open before using.
Answer: Maybe make sure the batteries are working?
Q:
Directions say to use rechargable batteries, why?
Answer: Regular alkaline Duracells can be used. We actually suggest them over rechargeable batteries.
Answer: Return them asap this product doesn't not work at all... I have not got a bag to seal yet with them... They are paper weights...
Q:
does it work on paper?
Answer: No it does not work on paper. It works by melting the plastic in the same way that companies that make potato chips seal the bags you buy in the store. It is a hot wire that would catch paper on fire. It wouldn't do anything to melt the two pieces of paper together since paper doesn't melt.
Answer: It does not work on paper
Answer: The mechanism fit in this device is supposed to work by meltig the piece of plastics at high temperature & then joining the both ends. so it wont work on paper.
Answer: No
Q:
Does it work on Amazon type plastic bubble wrap bags?
Answer: No I doubt it. It’s kind of hard to use on regular bags let alone bubble wrap, lol.
Q:
Can you seal a plastic 4 mil bag?
Answer: Yes, as long as the bag is thin enough. Make sure the sealer is completely preheated and that you're using new, brand name batteries.
Answer: I have not tried that, but I did reseal a bag that I use with a food saver sealer. It takes some practice - you have to do it slowly and sometimes more than once.
Answer: We couldn’t get to deal anything
Q:
touchless really? You need to touch the machine and it has to touch the bag.
Answer: "iTouchless" is the brand.
Answer: Your hands are not near the heat. I know not a very well thought out name but it works.
Q:
What temperature does it get to?
Answer: Not sure of the temp, but these little guys do seal bags. The sealing head gets pretty hot, but the actual head is only about 5/8ths of an inch.
Answer: Never temp gunned it but it’s pretty safe and works very well things stay fresh
Answer: Took too long to heat, even then barely sealed packages. I plan on returning them. Very disappointed ????
Q:
Is the itouchless handheld heat sealer adequate for sealing 2 dozen mylar bags for long term food storage?
Answer: I use mine for sealing Ziploc and small parts bags. It works very well for sealing chip bags and cereal. But I would probably lean toward a vacuum sealer if I was looking for something long term.
Q:
Does it work on cellophane bags?
Answer: Yes so far with a little work.
Answer: DO NOT PURCHASE it does not work on any bag I have tried it on...
Answer: Yes, so far it has worked great on chip and cereal bags
Answer: Yes it does. Thin bags like that aren't a problem.
Answer: Good choice!! Like a lot! thank you
Q:
Does this work on frozen food bags?
Answer: If the bag can melt with heat, yes.
Answer: Yes it does
Q:
Does this have an on/off switch?
Answer: no it does not, but it works only if you remove protector and press black parts against each other.
Answer: No
Answer: No, when you squeezing it turns it on.
Answer: No, and I wouldn't recommend this product
Answer: Yes it has
Answer: No
Q:
Does it ever run out of whatever it is that seals the bag? I know it's heat that causes the bags to be sealed but does the part I see ever wear out?
Answer: I bought this product with high hopes but mine never worked in the first place.it didn't seal any material bag I tried. It just stays on the fridge as a magnet in my house.
Answer: No. It is a small piece of metal that conducts heat to seal the bag
Answer: You have to go slow, like 15 seconds across the bag, and then go over again if there is a seam in the bag. But I use it all the time on chip bags. There doesn't seem to be a part which wears out, you just replace the battery now and then. A chip clip is faster and easier, but if you are putting the bag away for a week or two this works well.
Q:
in what country is this made?
Answer: China ofcourse
Answer: China
Answer: China
Q:
Will the heat melt the plastic?
Answer: Barely. You have to hold it hard while also keeping it in a straight line and moving it slowly across the bag. I wouldn’t recommend
Answer: Since they don't work AT ALL you don't have to worry about that. Don't waste your money like I did.
Q:
Who do i contact to report i only received 1sealer and it was a 2 pack
Answer: Since they don’t work anyway, I’d just return it.
Q:
Can it seal thiker plastic like a straw? I need something that can close the end of straws
Answer: If you just need to closethe end, you can just burn with a lighter I believe. these will work on bags that is closed by heat, some of salad/snack bags didn't work with this.
Answer: I think it may be able to do thicker plastic, but I don't believe it will work on a straw. You usually need a corner of the bag to pull the material through the device. The actual melting part of it is too small and and covered so you would not be able to maneuver the straw across it.
Answer: I am not sure. The unit heats up pretty fast and even with the slightest touch of pressure it melts the plastic.
Answer: Something you seal it just a little hard to make work
Like a lot! thank you
Q:
Will this seal mylar storage bags?
Answer: Mylar might be a bit tough. This is basically a mini heat sealer. If the mylar cannot be melted using a hair straightener, these bag sealers probably won't work either.
Q:
Will this seal cellophane so it is air tight?
Answer: It's designed to seal thin plastics such as ziplock bags etc. Thin cellophane might work. The unit only seals, it does not remove air.
Q:
Can this be used to seal bath bombs?
Answer: As long as it is in a plastic bag it should work no problem
Answer: If it’s a plastic baggie then yes..
Answer: Don’t waste your money
Q:
Do you sell these in larger quantities? 200-400 Unit orders and if so what is the price?
Q:
Has anyone used these to seal layers of vinyl? In trying to make hand warmers and need to make a vinyl baggie to put the solution in.
Answer: I doubt it. It doesn't even work on chip bags It will either burn through the vinyl or do nothing. My bet is burn through the material. Try a vacuum sealer. They provide a better controlled temperature and a wider sealing surface.
Answer: I used it to seal a single layers of cellophane bags and would not seal properly. Also the battery drains quickly which also doesn't help to heat and seal.
Answer: I would say this would not create a reliable enough seal for that
Q:
How do I change the batteries?
Answer: Remove the battery cover and insert new batteries.
Q:
Would this work for Mylar balloons
Answer: It'd probably work but you'd definitely want to create the seal as far away from the actual balloon, and down the stem, as possible just in case it didn't work.
Answer: I THINKS SO ....
Q:
Do you have to cut the bag to open it after you sell with this?
Answer: It just creates a heat seal. You can open the bag any way you wish after it's sealed.
Answer: I wouldn’t know....it never sealed a bag well enough to have to get a pair of scissors.
Answer: No you can take the sides & pull apart.
Q:
How long do these last?
Answer: I've had mine for several months and it's still going strong.
Answer: They are horrible don’t work would like to return
Product reviews of iTouchless (2-Pack) for Airtight Food Storage Saver, Reseals Snack Handheld Heat Bag Sealer, 2-Packs
Amazon Customer : Cool little gadget!
My friend sells Color Street nail “wraps”. I love the ease of them and you can get 2 full “manicures” out of one set... if you reseal the packaging. These little gems do the trick!
April M. : waste of money - look for a better product
I gave these 4 stars because one came with working batteries and one came with dead batteries that had to be replaced. That’s silly for a new product. Overall the product is easy to use. It doesn’t work well on thinner gauge plastics. For example, I bought these primarily to seal the tops of a thick shrink wrap bag. I cannot slide seal the bags or it will cut them back open. I can however quick clamp /press along the top and do it that way. It takes a little longer and doesn’t allow for a perfect seal but still gets done what I need.
I’m updating my review a few months later and lowering the stars. Here’s why. Both require a decent amount of pressure to get to work on my thin gauge shrink bags. That slight pressure caused both arms to crack and now I’m in Amazon looking for a superior product. Don’t waste your money.
Ms. Bev : Awesome ????
I didn't expect for the quality would be an incredibly wonderful as they are. I love these bag sealers so much. I took it right out of the package put in a few batteries and I was up and running in seconds. Now I don't have any chips in the refrigerator I can put them in the cupboard like normal people. Plastic on these little units is very strong and I like that you can look through just in case you forget because they're transparent that you can see what kind of batteries you have in because some of us like to put in rechargeable so and forget and inadvertently toss them. I can't comment on battery life because I don't really pay a lot for batteries and I buy them in large bulk packages but I'll just look the batteries last as long as they do and I'm sure these units will last quite a while. There's only one drawback and that's the magnet I wish it was a little bit stronger but since I'm working on my kitchen counter I just keep my bag sealer right in the drawer in Easy reach as opposed to pullingn out my big vacuum sealer. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and recommend this brand to anyone, plus the Price Is Right!
Lisa V : Works as advertised
I was surprised that this actually works! You have to be careful not to squeeze too hard or it will slice the bag but once you get the hang of it it’s pretty cool. I take it to work to reseal snack bags.
koolkris : Reseals my Color Street nail strips
These were my 3rd different kind of bag sealer. I want them to reseal packs of Color Street nails. They do they job. the others not so much
wanduerman : I like it !!
You have to first learn how to it use on different types of bags but once you learn it's a cinch. Delicate bags will cut easy so don't use much force on these. The sturdier bags I found cutting back the seam on the back of the bag makes it easier to seal. Make sure to wait 3 seconds before sliding and on aluminum bags just slide a little slower and that's it. Also it takes 2 passes to seal a bag because you can't start sealing unless the device is already on the bag so you just start sealing close to one end and just finish sealing that end on your second pass.
Starrygirl1212 : Why haven't I owned this before!!!
So I saw these on a blog I follow, and I was skeptical, but they were initally cheap, and there was an Amazon Warehouse Deal on them, so I thought I'd give them a try.
I tend to buy things in bulk (chips, spices, noodles, etc) and usually have to put things into a ziploc bag to prevent them from going stale between uses. For a lot of items, this doesn't work because they are a wierd shape or too big for average ziploc bags. We're in the middle of a heat (and humidity) wave, so even overnight chips go stale with a standard chip clip.
This seals EVERYTHING. Once I received it I ran around my kitchen sealing every package I had opened and discarding the now unnecessary ziplocs things were contained in. I figured it would give out after a few bags, but even the used batteries I started out with are holding up. It should be noted, it's important to follow the broken English directions on the back: hold in place for 3sec to start before continuing over the length of the bag, and do the same on the reverse side. Otherwise you miss the edge of your packaging and air will still get in.
I own a kryo-vac machine with a bag sealer setting, but having to pull it out and plug it in means that most stuff just gets put in a ziploc and stashed away. This is great because it magnets to the fridge, easily accessible after cracking into one item while cooking.
I only wish it had a bag ripper on it (the little metal blade). I've now found myself looking for the kitchen shears more often, but it's a small price to pay for unstale chips and spices.
NoTime4SheepNWolves'Coats : Works perfectly! Airtight seal!
Arrived on time, packed beautifully.
Following the included directions, these worked like a charm the first time, and every time since. Used 4-6 times every day. Just remember to:
slide the safety bar to the on position (down)
heat the element a few seconds
glide across the bag, not pressing too hard
move the safety bar back to the off position (up)
and keep them handy to where you'll use them most.
Hard-to-impress (hypoglycemic) husband grins with each use. Gadget-enemy teenage son got it right 1st time, and now makes pleats, gussets, and more with it to show which bags are his.
We binge-bought enough snacks for a month to celebrate!
Ahmed : It does the job but I’m upset it doesn’t have ...
It does the job but I’m upset it doesn’t have a on/off switch, it’s always on. It has a cover over the filament but I’d tagged be safe and no it’s off.
Iora Rua : Nifty Gizmo Gadget
I bought this to reseal a nail product I use that comes in plastic sleeves. I am pleased with the way this product reseals. As some reviewers mention, it does make a thin line as it seals and can cut through. I have found that when this happened to me, I was taking too long to move the sealer. The seal was intact, but didn't have any excess material. The remedy seems to be to smoothly and quickly run the sealer across the item to be sealed. It is trial and error to find your groove in using this product. It works for what I want. I have successfully resealed a potato chip bag and thought about using the product to seal the bag into portions instead of using sandwich bags. Handy that I got two so I can keep one in the kitchen and one with my nail product.
Heather Peet : Thicker bags it seals up nicely. No issues yet
It takes some time to get use to sealing bags...first few tries bags looked mangled (videos make it took very easy). Thinner bags it will cut a section off, but still seals below. Thicker bags it seals up nicely. No issues yet, but have only used a few times. Magnet sticks good to fridge.
Jocyl : This sealer is super useful. I don't like chips going stale and ...
This sealer is super useful. I don't like chips going stale and this has helped with the problem. Just follow the instructions and maybe do a few trial runs to get the right speed in sealing.
Radioman : Five Stars
These worked pretty well for me. It’s needs some skill
cody : It works
Works as described
Christine : These work great. I finally got rid of the chip clamps
These work great. I finally got rid of the chip clamps.
josh128 : SAVE YOUR CHIPS!!! Great sealer for chips and other sealable items. I've even given one as a gift.
I use this little bugger all the time. It definitely helps to keep chips and things like that fresher for longer. You can use this to seal almost anything that's plastic (or really any sealable bag.
PROS:
Battery last's forever. I've had mine for months and have yet to change the batteries
It's magnetic so it sticks right on the fridge.
Extremely easy to use.
It seals just about anything that can be sealed. (I've used it for chips, rice, foodsaver bags, etc.
CONS:
The only major con I would give is that it doesn't do well with doubled over bags. So if you're down towards the bottom of the bag of chips, you'll probably have to trim the bag smaller so it will fit in order to be sealed.
Because of the nature of the sealer, you have to seal most of the bag in one direction as you can't start at the edge. Then you have to try and line it up for the last inch or so that you couldn't get initially on the first edge. (For me, I just run the remaining inch at an angle so that it crosses the first seal.)
Overall, the PROs definitely outweigh the CONs. Like I stated, I use this guy all the time, and even gave the second one away as a gift. As long as you follow the directions and "heat it up" for a couple of seconds prior to use, I haven't had any issues. Just make sure you go slow enough to get a good seal. This guy has saved me numerous bags of chips.
SaL ♡ : Five Stars
I love this gadget! Its so small but so handy. I'm very impressed. Its a must-have for every home!
M : Does not work.
This doesn’t even work! It doesn’t seal even if you do exactly what the instructions say. It’s a total waste of money. If you hold it in one spot too long it’ll melt through and create a hole. And if you hold it to short it won’t do anything. The sweet spot is impossible to find.
The one pro is that I got two instead of one. Was going to give the second away but it would be an awful gift for someone.
liz : Good gift
Works surprisingly well. You do have to make sure you warm it up. My mom loved it, I bought it for her for a present
OKF : It works!! If you allow it time to warm up.
It does what it says.
This bag sealer has been a life saver in my kitchen. It does exactly what it says - heats up the bag to seal it closed. The key to using it successfully is waiting a few moments when you clamp the bag before sliding it along the edge. How long you wait and the success of the seal depends on the thickness of the material. For very thin plastic bags just a momentary pause is enough. For thicker bags (cookies, chips, cereals) a 3-second pause is usually enough. Also, ensure that the bag doesn't overlap as you slide the sealer along.
Two further notes:
The sealing element is narrow so it creates a thin seal. On thin plastics this usually means the top of the bag could get cut off when it's sealed.
Secondly, this is not recommended for bags that you're going to seal/reseal several times. This is for the reason above - you lose a part of the bag each time you seal.
For these reasons it is not a perfect solution. I still have to use bag clips and ziploc bags for some things. But it is nice to have this option for the things it works on.
Finally, do not compare this to a Foodsaver. It is not that. It does not remove air or vacuum seal your food. I've seen videos where people use these and a drinking straw to hack a vacuum seal, but the results are varied. This does what it's supposed to do - IT IS NOT A FOODSAVER!
All in all, and for the price this was a good buy for me. 4 stars.
josh128 : SAVE YOUR CHIPS!!!
This guy has saved me numerous bags of chips.
d a r d a lee : Works!!!! But give it 3-5 secs to heat up.
Works great!!!! Read the comments before using it. Just need to give it the 3-5 secs to warm up and works lovely. My kids have even used it and it’s fine.
Shawna C : Works great!
Read the directions and it will work perfectly. I can't give it a 5 star because there isn't an off switch so you have to take the batteries out after you are done using it for safety.
rhonda hedrick : it works GREAT.
For all of those who have had an issue with this NOT working, be sure you put one batteries, facing one way, and the other facing the other way. I could not get mine to work either but it was because I put both in the same way, That doesn't' work. Now that I changed it, it works GREAT.
Erika : Grat but takes some getting used to
I think it will take some getting used to but I already love it. You have to adjust how slowly you drag it across depending on how think the material you are trying to seal.
JohnJingleHymerSchmit : Five Stars
Once you get the hang of these they work great, especially with chip bags.
Lisa V : Works as advertised
I was surprised that this actually works! You have to be careful not to squeeze too hard or it will slice the bag but once you get the hang of it it’s pretty cool. I take it to work to reseal snack bags.
GG : cannot believe this works
You have to learn how to pull the device over the plastic. You can't squeeze the life out of it; it will tear the plastic. You can't drag it fast; it won't have enough time to heat the material. Just draw it across the plastic leisurely. But much to my amazement, it works. No more clothespins or plastic clips keeping salad bags, popcorn bags, etc. closed and fresh. I would buy this again.
B. Moore : Fantastic product
I was very sceptical at first, but once we started using it, it has become our favorite tool on the house. It has a magnet so we keep it on the fridge. It is so easy to use. JUST GO SLOW! Also use a decent amount of pressure. Takes a couple of tries to get the hang of it. Once you do, you won't put it down!
Amazon Customer : Cool little gadget!
My friend sells Color Street nail “wraps”. I love the ease of them and you can get 2 full “manicures” out of one set... if you reseal the packaging. These little gems do the trick!
M&m : Great little gadget!
Love this thing! I was going thru everything in the house to find things to seal! I like that it has a magnet to stick on the fridge. I forget I have things if I put them in a drawer.
Customer : Totally undependable
If these were consistent, I'd give them 5 stars. They aren't consistent, though. I've purchased this same item multiple times. My first set were great! 5 stars for sure. I went around sealing everything in my pantry. I loved them so much that I bought extras for friends. Then I broke my first two. Well obviously I'm going to repurchase the same thing because it was awesome, right? My second set, however, are terrible. They won't seal anything. I thought it was the batteries. Nope. Then I thought maybe just one was bad? Nope. Neither of them work. Or maybe it was that these were a new type of bag? Nope. I tried resealing bags that were sealed with my original sealer. No luck. The second set just won't work. They don't seal. It took me so long to figure out that I'm well past my return window, so I'm stuck with them. You don't have to be. Don't buy these.
Rosenrad : Glad I tried it
I was pleasantly surprised that this sealer really works! I was skeptical at first because I have ordered another sealer before but it did not work, so I had to return it. But this iTouchless sealer is a winner! Glad I tried it!
Martinigl : Buy them you’ll love them
Love these . Keeps chips, cereal, crackers etc fresh. I also use it for bag lettuce & other veggies that come bag.
Shajj : cool buy
My husband loves this. He reseals all the chips in our house. You need to let it heat up and follow the directions so that it works. If you go too slow it will burn the bag and if you go to fast it will not seal. The weird part is that you have to remove the batteries every time you use it. That is why I did not give it a 5 star.
brandi : Pretty cool little device that I bought on a whim
Pretty cool little device that I bought on a whim. Helps to keep bags of chips from going stale.

This sealer is super useful. I don't like chips going stale and this has helped with the problem. Just follow the instructions and maybe do a few trial runs to get the right speed in sealing.

W.E. : Not good for anything other than an occasional seal on thin plastic.
I was hoping these would work for a project but I was very disappointed by their performance. In needed to seal a long area of plastic that was thicker than a ziplock bag but not thicker than a folded chip bag (which is how a representative from the manufacturer suggested one user try it in a response to their posted rating). I used new Energizer batteries and followed all the instructions. Sliding the unit along the plastic had to be done extremely slowly to get any seal at all so making a smooth, even seal line was nearly impossible. The mesh piece covering the heated wire slid off quickly and reapplying it was useless. The unit would get overheated and stop working until it cooled down; the batteries became almost too hot to touch. So yeah, it's almost useless which makes it very overpriced. I don't recommend.
Linda : Changed My Review--It's Great
I previously gave this product a horrible review because it didn't work. Turns out that an entire package of12 unused batteries (Amazon Essentials batteries which I'll never order again), was the problem. It never occurred to me that 12 batteries could be dead, but they were. The product works great and seals everything in site without a problem.
Molly Gilskey : Perfect saver and booze hider
Do you go to concerts and want to sneak in your mini bottles because you hate paying $49 for a can of bud light?
Me too!
Let me introduce you to this bad boy right here : Some venues allow you to bring food that will fit into a gallon sized clear zip up bag. Well fancy pants, grab you a bag of chips, stuff it full of minis and RESEAL IT with this bad boy and waaalaaah! you just saved your self $126 dollars in booze fees from the concession stands. Yes i tested it, yes it worked. A mini bag of chips comfortably fit 5 minis. I bought a soda for $8 dollars and i felt like a champ.
Also they do actually keep your chips sealed up at home for much longer and they stay fresher if you're not a raging alcoholic (or bargain shopper like i like to call myself).
wanduerman : I like it !!
Erin : I’m pleased with it
It works! You must put pressure right in the center, and wait a few seconds for it to heat up before sliding. It is more tricky on very thin plastic (marshmallows) or thick (ph solution), however I was able to seal both. On thicker packages it does not cut. I’m pleased with it.

Didn’t think it was going to work but it really does. Comes in a two pack but do not need two so gave one away.
Brenda : This little thing is great, easy and simple to use
This little thing is great, easy and simple to use, just slide across top of bag, don't go too slow, worked perfectly, great price
