Answer: Simple: whatever size u get, double it. If u buy a 8ft. It will drop from middle to ground 8 ft. It will spread 16ft. I had 8, 6 and then a 3. I'm used to a 4ft, spreads out 8ft, but they don't have that. Watch center plastic piece, keeps coming apart.

Answer: I had this net I believe it was like and inch or so cant remember been a long time it was a descent net though until i tore it all to pieces.

This is a very good little cast net. I have a 4 foot and a 6 foot. These nets are not made from mono string, they are a material type net. Keep it clean, air dry after use and stored out of the sunlight and they will last several years. My 6 foot is over two years old and tossed in the water seval types each month and still looks brand new. Take care of it and you should be satisfied with your purchase.

After trowing it about 10-15 times i toss it in the trash, it gets tangled very easy on its own weights can't be spendimg more time untangling it than fishing for bait i been using castnets 10+ years and this has been the WORST EVER!!!
