Questions about Magic Mill Food Dehydrator Machine (7 Stainless Steel Trays) With Digital Adjustable Timer | Temperature Control | Keep Warm Function | Dryer for Jerky, Herb, Meat, Beef, Fruit and To Dry Vegetables
Q:
Where can you get more anti-stick trays for fruit that for this?
Answer: Amazon.com
Q:
Does this include a receipe book
Answer: Mine came with a small pamphlet that included a handful of recipes and suggestions on temperature settings for the different types of foods that you might dehydrate.
Q:
is the housing metal? like stainless steel, or aluminum?
Answer: it definitely feels like plastic on the inside walls...
Answer: Yes. I think aluminum- it feels light. Love this dehydrator. ????
Q:
Does this device give off excessive heat when in use (as in a bad idea to use on hot days)? And does the outside get hot to the touch?
Answer: The dehydrator does give off heat, but not excessively. I only notice the heat when I'm standing within roughly 1-2 feet from it. The front cover gets very warm, depending on temp setting. The rest of it, except the back, it warm to touch.
Answer: No it doesn’t get hot or throw off heat
Answer: No to both. It works great. I’m very happy with it.
Answer: No,it does not.
Answer: No
Q:
Besides venison, can pork, hot dogs, Spam, chicken be used in the dehydrator?just wondering.
Answer: My son dried canned chicken for hiking/camping, and it turned out great. Also, he did sauces on the solid trays for meals when camping/hiking.
Q:
How much space is tbere between trays?
Answer: About an inch if u use all the trays. However if u have larger items to dehydrate you may use less trays giving you more space between the trays. This is easy as the trays are removable and adjustable in placement
Answer: 1.25". But if you need more room, you can leave out some of the trays to increase space between.
Answer: About an inch or so
Q:
Anyone use these for drying pla before a 3d print?
Answer: It's recommended for food only. If you have a regular oven 250 Degrees will work fine
Answer: this doesn't sound like a food question. Is it an art question?
Answer: Not me, so I've go no clue. Sorry!
Q:
has anyone noticed how much energy this uses? Is it an energy efficient appliance?
Answer: I don't know energy rating but the dehydrating time is less than with my previous dehydrator. Less time, less energy used for me.
Q:
Does anyone have any issues with jerky not drying evenly? The top 3-4 rows dry out much slower than the rest of the batch
Answer: No. With this dehydrator I have not had to rotate trays due to uneven drying like I did with my Cabela dehydrator.
Answer: I keep moving my jerky around. as it shrinks i reduce the trays. no problems so far
Q:
It was working and was drying great. I loved it. It just won’t turn on. Any suggestions?
Q:
Why does the front glass start to fall out when the dehydrator has been on for a while? We have to prop something against it to keep it all together.
Answer: I have never had this problem although I have heard it before from others. If any of the trays are left open you risk loosening or possibly breaking the glass as there is no safety for this. You have to remember to push the trays all the way in before shutting the door.
Answer: Definitely NOT supposed to do that! That sounds like a defect and a dangerous safety hazard. Can you return the dehydrator?
Answer: Mine has never had this issue. But the glue gets hot and separates. Go to a hardware store and get clear silicone adhesive. glue along the boarder and push the glass back in. Let dry for 2 days. Can also use a 2-part epoxy.
Answer: That has to be a defect in your unit. I use mine every week to make Jerky and its runs flawlessly for 6 - 8 hours every time.
Answer: Sorry to hear that. I believe it is defective because thankfully I have not experienced that. Either contact the manufacturer or contact amazon with the issue. Hope it gets resolved soon!
Answer: It should not be happening. Work with Amazon to get the third party salesperson to remedy your situation.
Answer: Ours has worked really well, we don’t have that problem.
Q:
Is the inside of the unit stainless steel?
Answer: no
Q:
What are dimensions of dehydrator? (Width x Height x Depth)
Answer: 13.5 in W x 13 in H x 17.5 in D
Q:
Seller, what is decibel level?
Answer: ?? Very quite!
Q:
Will this machine tell you the moisture content left in what you are drying ?
Answer: No it will not.
Answer: No
Answer: no
Q:
Do you wash the metal trays in the dish washer?
Answer: Yes, but I go over them with a scrub brush in the sink to remove dried, stuck-on fragments from the jerky that I dry. I imagine that if I sprayed them with cooking oil first, I would not have to do that.... will give it a try. But definitely, go for the metal trays over the plastic.
Answer: I have not put them in the dish washer yet. I usually wash them in the sink.
Answer: the metal pieces are not trays, they are more like grill grates. I wash them in my dishwasher.
Answer: Yes. The trays can be cleaned in a dishwasher.
Answer: yes, that's why I bought this one.....
Q:
Is this unit bird/parrot safe?
Answer: Yes
Q:
How well does this work for dehydrating herbs?
Answer: Works great on fruit - have not dehydrated herbs
Answer: This dehydrator works AMAZINGLY Well... I have done much with it. Herbs, veggies, fruit.... Next up - meat!!
Answer: I've only used the dehydrator to dry jerky and bananas. It worked as advertised and I'm very happy with it. I think money well spent. Ron

Answer: It works great I have done parsley.
Answer: We have only used it for jerky and it was great
Q:
Do they make a storage cover for this unit?

Q:
Is the front door plastic or glass?
Answer: Plastic
Q:
Does this dehydrator beep excessively loudly when the timer goes off, as one reviewer described? Also, is it loud when running?

Answer: Don't know. I use it on 120 vac. Check with seller or specs of device.
Answer: It is 110 only.
Q:
Can I use all the trays for dehydrating meat?
Answer: Yes I used the aftermarket silicone sheets. To help keep it clean. But it seems to take a little longer.
Q:
what is the body of this dehydrator made out of steel or platic?
Answer: Steel. The door is plastic around the window.
Answer: Steel.
Answer: Metal of some type. I am not sure what kind of metal.
Q:
How many trays come with this it says 10 stainless steel...and another place it says 6
Answer: That model is going to have 10 stainless trays (grids) and 2 plastic trays. I purchased the MFD-7100 and it had 7, I wish I had purchased the MFD-1011, but I love the unit it works great. The first 2 numbers in the model tell you how many stainless levels there are.
Answer: Nicole R. The only information I can give you is the phone and web site on the back of my Magic Mill instruction book. My dehydrator is an MFD-7100. It came with 7 metal trays, a couple trays for fruit roll ups and I think or one more for foods that drip. I thought to store the last two in the oven and of course turned the oven on, forgetting the tray or trays were in there and they or it melted. I believe you can call the number and find someone to speak to, so here is the information:
Answer: You get 10 stainless steel trays 1 tray to hang strips of food on and 2 plastic trays
Answer: Not looking at it now, but I think there were9 stainless shelves + plastic mesh (maybe half a dozen?). It worked well. Dehydrated lots of tomatoes easily.
Answer: 10
Q:
Where does it made ? which country
Answer: China. Like everything.
Q:
what is the interior dimension of the unit? I am not worried about the outside, just the actual interior size.
Answer: 13x12x9
Q:
where do you buy extra fine mesh sheets?
Answer: Amazon has them! You can cut them to fit your particular brand dehydrator. Easy to do .
Q:
Q:

Answer: About one square foot.
Q:
The pictures show it having a 1000W drying fan & the specifications says it's a 600W fan, which is the correct wattage?
Answer: On the back of the unit it says 600 watts. So I assume that is the correct wattage.
Q:
What is the internal dimensions? h? w? d? i have seen dimensions on here and they're not stating specifically whether they are external or internal.
Answer: My Magic Mill MFD-7100 internal is 9 1/2in. height, 12in. wide and 13in depth. Outside is 12 1/2 ht. and 13 1/2 in wide.

Q:
Is this product BPS free?
Answer: Yes.
Q:
Are there fruit roll up trays for this Dehydrator?
Answer: Yes
Answer: Yes there are, two.
Answer: Yes there are......
Q:
Does this come with a how-to operate booklet? Also do you need to use the plastic mesh sheets each time you use the machine.
Answer: The plastic mesh sheets or the solid trays are for very small things that would fall through the metal trays. Also, when doing banana chips, use the plastic mesh or solid trays. From experience, I've found that if you don't, they'll stick to the metal shelves.
Answer: Yes, it comes with a booklet. I use the wire racks to make jerky, and I put a plastic tray on the bottom to catch drippings. You don’t have to use the plastic if you don’t want to. I LOVE MINE! It’s very easy to use.
Q:
The description contradicts itself. How many trays come with this unit?
Answer: I got 11 metal (stainless) trays and 2 plastic trays. Very nice unit just dont forget to push the trays in all the way before you shut the door. Glass could break.
Answer: 10
Q:
How long will it preserve food?
Answer: This product dries food. How long the food will taste fresh or even be edible depends on the food, how dry you get it in this machine, then how you store it after that. Some foods if dried very well, then stored in airtight containers with silica drying packets, can easily last months or in some cases years. This machine dries foods as well as any other dehydrator. To do better your would have to freeze-dry, and those machines are not affordable for consumers.
Answer: That would depend on the food and how dry it goes into storage. All I can say with any authority is that my dried tomatoes have lasted very well since late September, along with all the herbs and spices from the same time. I think the herbs will last indefinitely, just lose flavor as they age. I can say the dehydrator does work well and easily and was a huge help in the humid weather we had this past Fall.
Q:
Where is Magic Mill dehydrators made?
Answer: It's a U S. Co. but made in China. It's good quality and I love mine.
Answer: China. Do not recommend.
Q:
Which of the exterior dimensions is the height? Need to see if it will fit under my kitchen cabinets.
Answer: 18 inches.
Answer: 17" tall.
Q:
Have you used it to dry grains?
Answer: No. I haven't
Answer: I have not
Q:
What is the lowest temperature you can set on this machine?? Thanks!
Answer: The lowest temperature setting is 95 degrees.
Answer: The lowest temp is 95deg
Answer: the temp range is 95F to 165F in 10 degree increments
Answer: 95 F
Q:
Can this be run with the heating element turned off? Just room temperature air?
Answer: As far as I know, the answer is no. At best, I think all you can do is set the temperature to the lowest setting, which is 95 degrees.
Answer: No. The lowest temp is 115.
Q:
Other than one extra tray, what is the difference between the 9 and 10 trays? I am trying to understand why there is such a large price difference.
Answer: The 10 tray is a much more updated modern model then the 9 tray unit as you can see in the pictures, Also the door is glass vs the 9 is plastic. The 9 has a sliding door vs the 10 is connected to the unit.
Answer: it is simply size
Q:
How does the temperature intervals change? Individual degrees or do they jump 5 degrees or so with each push of the button?
Answer: The temp setting moves 5 degrees with each push of the button.
Answer: you can change the temp setting, all we do when we use for Jerky or fruit roll up is hit the start button, it auto sets the temp and 10 hours. one button push
Answer: 5 degrees after each push
Answer: 10 degree increments
Q:
Does this unit handle EU electrical settings?
Answer: No
Q:
Can you purchase extra fruit roll trays?
Answer: Yes.
Q:
Cómo lo paso de Farenheit a centígrados y cuánto es el consumo del producto.gracias
Q:
Can I return it if I don’t have the box anymore?
Answer: I have no idea. I rarely return anything. I'd check with the vendor re return policy. Ron
Product reviews of Magic Mill Food Dehydrator Machine (7 Stainless Steel Trays) With Digital Adjustable Timer | Temperature Control | Keep Warm Function | Dryer for Jerky, Herb, Meat, Beef, Fruit and To Dry Vegetables
Don : ????????
Use for beef jerky have never had a problem. Not the easiest to clean but manageable.
Lisa Morgan : I like everything about this dehydrator...
I like everything about this dehydrator. It is quiet and efficient. It is compact in size yet has 7 stainless steel wire racks that make for plenty of room. It's easy to keep clean. It distributes heat and air flow evenly throughout the unit so all your items are ready at the same time; no having to let some things go for an extended period of time. I've used this to dehydrate apples, bananas, and sweet potatoes. My dog loves the dehydrated sweet potatoes (vet recommended). So much more economical and healthier without the added preservatives etc.. Plus, the apple and banana chips are so delicious... lots tastier than store bought. I am very pleased with my purchase. *P.S... buy a quality mandoline to do your slicing. Makes the whole process quite easy.
marty schweer : A must have food dehydrator.
This is what I was looking for in a food dehydrator. Very easy to use, easy to clean, very quiet when running. Simple setting instructions, in a easy to read and follow pamphlet included. Comes with temperature and time references for many fruits and vegetables. I have made beef jerky and various dried fruit, with pleasant success. All of this at an affordable price. I'll be back when I wear this one out. Winner!
Brian Arimoto : Front door fell apart
This was my first dehydrator and I enjoyed using it. Very easy to operate. Grates are a little difficult to clean if you do beef jerky directly on the wire grates. I found that I had to soak them and use a wire brush to get all the stuck-on pieces of dehydrated beef off of them. Unfortunately, after using it about 7-8 times the glass on the front door began to fall out of the door frame. Luckily, I am still able to return it since I'm within the 30 day return window, but now the product is no longer in stock on Amazon. Now I'm stuck deciding if I should just keep it and fix it with some silicone caulking or if I should return it.
Amazon Customer : Fun hobby!!
This machine works really well. Making our own spices has become a new passion.
Sherry K. Carroll : A really nice dehydrator
I've used this 4 times and each time it has worked great. Food is evenly dried out and the controls are very easy to use. I plan on using this a lot and so far so good.
Kindle Customer : Do Not suggest.
I opened this up to start dehydrating garden veggies (bought for this purpose so waited a month and a half to even open it) and first time, ran like a dream. Literally pulled it out of the brand new box and plugged it in. 2nd time I turned it on? Blew up, smoke coming out the top and died. Contacted customer service and crickets. Blessed with a Cabella's and would recommend that as a more efficient and productive choice. Cabella's runs like a dream.
John T Newman : Dehydrating machine
Didn't receive product manual but seller went above and beyond to rectify this. It turns off early if items aren't dry enough and don't know how to use without manual. What we have dried have turned out superb.
Gcal : Perfect for my needs
My use I don't need a large dehydrator. This one is very convenient to use, fairly small and seems to be well made. I dd need more mesh sheets, ordered a pack of 5 and trimmed to fit. Can do about 8 large apples sliced thin. So far have done apples, pears, strawberries, bananas, and jerky. Apples are my favorite then pears and jerky. Quiet operating and heat seems to be evenly distributed. Using on counter in garage at least in summer.
Julia Daniels : Very happy with my magic mill!
I purchased this dehydrator in 2020. The first thing I did after getting it was a batch of apple slices. Then I dehydrated several batches of asparagus. Today I am doing mushrooms. It holds 3 twenty ounce containers of sliced mushrooms! My soups this winter will be extra great! I had no trouble understanding the controls and it cleans easily. I purchased extra mats for the shelves so items don't fall through.
CMV : Broken
Plugged in the dehydrator, nothing happened. Looked closely inside and discovered the fan had come off the motor. Had to unscrew the back panel to reattach fan. Found a metal nut and two small washers rattling around inside...the nut probably came from the fan assembly but I’m not sure about the washers. Dehydrator would still not turn on even after reattaching everything. I also noticed two dime-sized sticky grease blobs on the inside floor under where the door closes, so my guess is this was one that was used once, died, and was returned that the company then sold to me. Very disappointed, will be returning and searching for another brand.
Just a Customer : Very quiet and easy to use!
Good height and internal space. Love that it’s more quiet compared to other models.
Evan Hamilton : Does not get up to 150 degrees as stated
Beware if you are buying this to make deer/beef jerky. Internal temperature would only get up to 150 degrees. Not safe enough for dehydrate jerky. Other than that, a decent unit.
Amazon Customer : Working great so far - LOUD ANNOYING BUZZER
Had it for about a month, seems to hold temperature well and it does its job. I haven't had much time to experiment but so far things are looking good.
The only complaint I have is that the noises this thing produces when pushing buttons or when the timer goes off is like a fire alarm from hell. I don't think they could possibly have used a more obnoxious buzzer sound. Otherwise the machine is actually pretty damn quiet for a dehydrator. It's way quieter than the one it replaced for sure.
Also would like to note that anyone complaining about the sides warping was probably blasting this thing on 165F (highest temp) which is completely unnecessary for any dehydrating purposes. There is no reason other than impatience that you should ever use a temp that high. You'll get much better results using lower temps. Throw out their recipe guide and just do your own experimenting.
Whitney Lee : Good starter dehydrator.
It's amazing for beginners looking into dehydration. I used the plastic tray dehydrators in the beginning, but they were extremely hard to clean because of the little nooks. The metal trays make cleaning super easy by just poping them into the dishwasher. Temp control is pretty good as well. The jerky comes out fairy consistent. The dehydrator can hold quite a bit of stuff I was able to get about 8 pounds of beef at one time.

Paula M. Hein : The best!
I am completely satisfied wit this purchase. I have used several times and ready to say it is the best dehydrator I have owned. Simple, versatile and easy overnight dehydrating without having to move the trays. And stainless steel yet light weight, easy to store.

CentralILMom : Awesome!
If you want a dehydrator that can fit a lot while not taking up too much space I recommend this one. We have done fruits, veggies and peppers in this guy with no issues. Easy to setup and simple instruction/recipe book included.
Theresa R C : Love it.
Love this product. Use it all the time. Follow the initial instructions and there should be no issues.
Brandon Schultz : WOW!!
This is probably the best quality for a smaller dehydrator that I’ve ever seen! Stainless racks, fruit leather trays, AND the plastic mesh for smaller items! Have only used a few times. This is a huge step up from the other brands I’ve been shopping through. Has a front door so you don’t have to dirty all the racks if you’re only using one or two racks. Very professional looking and very quiet too! Will reccommend this brand to anyone I know.
Ryan Caddy : Overall is great except one part
The appearance, size, and metal racks are fine. It is pretty quiet machine. The only bad part is the black case is ‘plastic’ not metal. I missed the return period so can only keep it. Sad :(

Andy Schumacher : Seller non responsive to troubleshooting
This unit stopped working after one month of use. Contacted Amazon to get the sellers phone number for help. Called went to some generic extension...left a message, never heard back. Shady seller don’t buy....
Jack : An attractive functional food dehydrator and more!!
First the pros:
Small footprint and quiet operation.
Attractive on the countertop (looks like a small oven or something). Not ugly like the big round dehydrators from the 1990s.
Plenty of dehydrating space. 10 shelves each 12" x 13". More than 10 square feet of space.
Very efficient. I've dried herbs very quickly (about 24 hours) with a great finished product.
Bonus: You can use this as a plate warmer. Standard (and even larger) plates will fit 1 per shelf. As a frequent sous vide user, I love having warm plates to serve the perfectly cooked, but a little cool on the outside, dishes. Warm plates keep the feed in the target zone longer.
Bonus2: With most of the shelves removed, you can use this dehydrator to keep your food warm while you finish the rest of the meal.
Cons:
You can not set any temperature. The range is sufficient (95F - 165F) but each push of the button raises/lowers the temperature by 10 degrees so you can have 105F but not 100F. Dehydrating & plate warming isn't that precise an activity so this is a very small nuisance.
When you press Start (Start/Stop button) it starts in RAW mode (10 hours at 165) and you have to adjust accordingly. It doesn't remember that you are drying herbs for 24 hours at 95F. Again a small inconvenience.
It may just be me as I move quickly in the kitchen, but sometimes when I close the door my hand bumps the start/stop button (I'm not sure how as it is not that close) shutting the machine down. When you restart, the previous settings aren't saved so you need to set the time/temperature again.
For the price, I don't think you can beat this plate warmer, food dehydrator and dough proofer. Once you have this in your kitchen, you will agree.
John K. : Worth the purchase
This dehydrator works really. I did several batches of peaches and it all turned out well. It gives off a lot of heat so be sure that you have very good venting.
TMA : It's really big!
Although the item is nice to look it, it is really big! I tried it a couple times, and while it can hold quite a large amount of food to dry, I don't think it really does a great job of actually drying it. I loved that the temp was easy to adjust. And it could stay warm. But overall, I was not as happy with this as I expected it to be. I contacted Amazon to return and they sent me a code to bring to UPS with instructions to forego a box, as UPS would pack and ship it to them...then I got there and HAD TO BUY A BOX to ship it! $8.92!! Needless to say, I was quite upset! Considering I tossed the box because of the Covid 19 scare and didn't want to bring it in my house! So I'm a bit peeved. If you say I don't need a box, I'm not bringing one. Or did they just tell me this to make a box sale???
Beerfish : Great dehydrator
Quiet, works great. Easy to set and use. Excellent capacity relative to footprint.
David : 3 month review!!
I was a little reluctant to purchase a dehydrator online without actually getting my hands on it as one would in-store. The machine is very quiet and the controls are simple. It is large enough to make a weeks worth of snacks for the family. I have made several batches of fruit and veggie chips which have turned out great, along with a couple of batches of jerky using the online "Jack links" recipe recreation. Very pleased with my purchase. The stainless screens are a bit of a pain to clean banana and tomato off of. That is really my only issue.
Constance Rasmussen : SIMPLE TO USE AND QUIET
I don't normally review products but this dehydrator is simple to use, easy to clean, relatively quiet and like the fact it is easy to extend time if needed.
I have used it for a variety of mostly vegetables and fruits. Very satisfied with the results.
i used it for citrus rinds so they can be ground. Same for beets, garlic etc.. I eat an orange a day and save the rinds instead of tossing to dehydrate and grind up.
The kale and swiss chard also came out great and have a good aroma. I don't use many leaves of the fresh at each use and have always found it to going bad before I can use it up. This way its great for use later and little waste.
Since I make a lot of soup -dried bases take up a lot less room and are now available whenever i need.
i have also done a lot of vacuum sealing for years and will find the dual use somethings to be done frequently.
It is definitely a product i would recommend.
KimmieC : Worked great for sweet potatoes!
I really enjoyed using this for my first time ever! It worked very well and my dogs sweet potato treats came out perfectly!
marty schweer : A must have food dehydrator.
Winner!
Lonnie R. Sharp : Decent capacity, relatively time efficient.
This is very user friendly. It seems to do a fairly good job with jerky. I like the ease of cleaning.
J. H. : AMAZINGLY FAST!!
BEAUTIFUL MACHINE! So quiet, I didn't even know it was on! I mainly use it to dry herbs from my garden. I was using my stove, but it took forever. The dehydrator works so fast, I couldn't believe it. Even does the larger basil leaves quick! I have no clue how I lived before this. LOL! Super easy, comes with an assortment of trays - - - and again, works FAST. Only have dried herbs and fruits so far, but if it works this well, I'm sure jerky would be no problem. Cannot recommend this enough.
Lori Guerrero : Highly recommend this dehydrator!!
Absolutely love this dehydrator! I was looking @ the more popular brands but they were so expensive! This 1 has stainless steal trays & there are 7 on this 1....also the front door is see through so you can check the food w/out having to open the door. Reasonably priced and works great! I highly recommend!
IcePrincess : use for drying icing on cookies
This is my first dehydrator and if you decorate iced sugar cookies a lot of people use these to speed up the drying process and keep the icing shiney when dry. Really worked nicely but I don't have anything to compare it to. But I will say this most recent batch of cookies had none of the issues that can sometimes plague a cookie decorator so no craters or dips in the icing. Cookies came out nice and shiney.
michael parrotte : Quite pleased
I have used NESCO dehydrators for years, left my old one behind in a move so I thought I would try something different. I have not been disappointed, quiet and efficient, fits a lot of food on stainless steel racks. Litteraly just turn it on and ignore it. Only downside is the temperature goes in increments of 10, I wish it did increments of 5. So you will need to modify your times a bit and towards the end keep checking doneness of your snacks to find the new time lines for recipes
Geneva A. Hernandez : Excellent for jerky
I really really like it. I bought it for beef jerky and it makes it so fast. Much better than the older round dehydrators. The trays are easy to clean. It’s not huge but not too small, just the right size. I would recommend it.
Amazon A : Save your money
Absolute junk...Bought it for Christmas...Front door glass is separating from the door within a month and a half. The glue is a tiny strip that doesn’t hold. I’ve taped it up and it looks a bit ridiculous. Separate from the door, the cooking is uneven. Same thickness in jerky...after three and a half hours, one time it turns to cardboard and one time it is still soggy. Made two calls to the manufacturer...they were no help. Save your money.
chefsthree : Almost Perfect
If this could somehow get down to 85F and maintain that this would be a perfect kitchen machine. It makes yogurt, proofs bread, makes amasake, dries meats and fish, makes fruit leathers and great dried fruit!
Jason Carilli : Great machine
First time user of this type of machine. It’s a bit larger than I thought (won’t fit on my counter nicely enough to be a permanent fixture) - but I found a new place for it permanently so no worries. I love it. I’d buy it again
T.J. : The front glass fell out on 2nd use!
This unit works very well, at least it did for the 2 times that I used it. On my second batch, the front window started coming off. By the time I was done taking the last rack out, it was close to falling off, so I removed it, to prevent shattered glass, around my kitchen. I will update my review after my dealings with their customer service...
Dario Meucci : The Magic Mill 7 Tray was the perfect choice.
I did a lot of research before I purchased this item and was leaning to purchasing an Excalibur, however I decided to try the Magic Mill 7 Tray with the door. I have to say I’m so glad I did. The heat distribution is wonderful and it makes the best jerky! I use it one time every week and it has always produced the same consistent drying pattern. I would recommend this item!
Jose E. : Works great!
This dehydrator works great! I’ve used it several times a week for the past month and I’ve made dried apples, strawberries, pine apple, mango, sweet potato and kiwi and blueberries. It has a huge capacity. I cut up 5 large apples and they only filled 3 trays. The timer and temp controls are a nice feature and it is super easy to set up and use. Also it is light weight and easy to move from my kitchen counter to another room for storage.
Very disappointed, will be returning and searching for another brand.

christina dabney-keel : It’s junk
It won’t turn on. Kept it box till I needed it and when I opened it and plugged it in of course it wouldn’t start and of course it’s past the due date of return so pissed right now.
Linda : I love it!
I loved the dried fruit it produced. I've done peaches and figs and tried a couple of pears. I've already eaten the peaches and most of the figs. Going to do apples next. Great purchase.
