Answer: So, it seems to be made of maybe 7lb mono line. I really like this net for catching shiners and smelt. My advice is to soak the net in soapy water overnight to soften it up before the first use. Check YouTube.

Netting tares very easily. If it gets hung even on a little stick, it drips so easy. Poor quality. You get what you pay for. Spend more money on a cast net. Its litterly a waist of money

I don’t know if the manufacturer understands what LEAD is, but this is not lead. Not even close! It doesn’t pass the scratch test, and it’s not nearly as heavy as a net that uses lead.

I ordered this for a tournament that I am fishing tonight, therefore I will use it with full understanding that I have no hope of returning for my money back, but I am thoroughly disappointed by the BLATANT FALSE ADVERTISING.

8' net: Too much time spent detangling it after each use due to the lack of quality workmanship. The weights rusted after the first use and stained a large portion of the rope and bucket. I gave it away during the third use.

My wife and I use this cast net one time at the beach in the sand with no debris anywhere around. By the fifth throw the net has already started to come apart at the bottom and appears to be very cheap. The weights are also rusting. All of my other cast nets seem to be easier to unravel and untangle after each throw but this net turns into a ball of tangles every throw. This net was a complete waste of money. I don’t recommend it unless your throwing money away.
