Broke the first time we used it. The screw attaching the handle came out. Terrible quality

Bought this as I have been trying to find a good collapsible net for my sailboat that can stow well. Unfortunately, the net material is not designed with barbed fish hooks in mind. Every time I try to remove a stick bait it gets so snagged up in the material (especially the net seams) that I get poked and bleed. The other issue is that the net cannot take much load when fully extended with fish that are only a few pounds (lake trout, salmon). In other words, the net bent and I had to bend it back but the pole is now weakened and the extension sticks. I will continue to look for a better solution to replace this subpar net.

Hinge for collapsing is tight and locks in well. The twist locks on extension handle lock the handle very well in multiple positions for varying lengths as may be needed for different fishing situations. So you can't go wrong with a longer net even if you find needing to use as a shorter net.
No where in the description was it mentioned that the nylon net is rubber coated. This is a big plus for being able to catch and release trout and not hurt their slime coats and skin.
