How big are the net holes? Can it be used for squid? One picture shows as mesh but another has openings that appear to be 1".

What are the net dimensions when it is open?

Answer: we used it for catching 10 lb carp suckers catfish, etc and never had a problem thank you GOD BLESS

The net was fine but the handle was too weak for the size of the net.

Only used maybe 8 times and it broke at the hinge. Will not buy again and I dont recommend.

Took this net with me on a catfish trip. Only used twice in one trip. If you're netting bluegill from a bank, this net is for you. If you're netting a fish more than 5 lbs, this net is not for you. I thought the handle extended longer than it did, but it was still efficient. After netting a 5 lb channel cat, the handle bent at the locking mechanism. I was unable to collapse it when I was done, so I will have to find a net with a stronger handle.

Would also recommend finding a net with a deeper basket if your target is larger fish.

Customer : My pole broke...had to order another one.

This is a nice net and doesn't seem to catch on fins or feathers however, the pole can't handle a lot of weight. I've bought 3 now, and love them until they break. Please make the pole stronger!
