Would you need an additional rope then?

Answer: Yes. The small polyester rope on the fishing net is used to pull the support frame to lock in place similar to umbrella. Additional rope needed to lower under water for placement at different depths.

Will this hold up in a creek with constant moving water? Will it stay in place with the moving water?

Answer: Will handle the current. I zip tied 2-ounce lead weights around the bottom edges of the net for this purpose. Works well.

does it have robe

Answer: I don’t know what you mean by a robe. It does have a short string

Will it catch small minnows

Answer: Yes, we use it to catch all sizes of minnows for feeder fish.

I set the trap as instructed. I am an outdoor enthusiast and avid fisherman/ ocean person. I knew what I was doing. Came back to check the trap hours later, and the crabs basically were able to claw their way out, thus destroying the trap. VERY CHEAP AND FLIMSY !!!

This trap is sturdy and well designed. The zipper worked perfectly which is nice because my previous traps of similar styles did not even have a zipper. This makes getting what you caught alot easier to get out. The collapsible function is quiet helpful. Fits perfectly in a 5 gallon bucket.

I used it the same day I received it. I caught 9 Tahitian prawns in an hour and a half. I placed it a river down the street from my house. I used sardines from a can for bait.

The current was strong in the area I placed it. The mesh held up just fine. The bait trap looks cheap but works fine. For the price I paid ($16.00) could not imagine a better river trap.

I will update my review after 5 uses.

I recommend this product.

I catch two crab but I see in the top where tearing three wholes seem the crab tear it, what I see now if change the net to nylon but the catch was easy

Only used 3 times and wires were all bent, and the screen mesh was torn (don't know if it was the crabs biting through or just rough sea/weeds).

Would be better if it were STEEL mesh and wider diameter metal rods.
