Are these suitable for slower trolling from a sailboat?

Answer: I would think so. I only troll faster but I don't think it would matter. I really like the black and purple which you can buy individually but you never know whats in the water and what the fish will chase.

Answer: 3 to 4 knots is about as slow as they can be pulled while still being effective.

Great Trolling Squid lure; so far as i can tell it comes with at least a 150lbs Monofilament leader and size 7 J Hook.
you really Can Not beat this deal, at any fishing store you would find something similar on the upper $300's
the lure it self is about 10 inches from front to end.
the Colours WILL vary mine came with Yellow Green, Black Purple, Yellow Orange, Blue Silver, Blue White and Red Pink Blue

Purchased this 6 pack of lures to use on a sailing trip in French Polynesia. First fish that was hooked was about 150# marlin. Had the fish on for less than 30 seconds when the hook pulled off the lure. So we tested the othe 5 lures by pull against the hooks and everyone failed with no more than about 30# of tension on the line. The leader line stretched and pulled through the crimp on every test. I have a video to prove it. At that point we re-rigged all 6 lures with new leader line and new hooks. A huge disappointment losing the marlin. Buyer be ware. I’ll
