What is the best bait to apply the Live Catfish on?

Answer: I apply this to worms or shrimp and sometimes both at the same time, I call that combination the surf and turf cocktail. have a great season fishing.

Answer: Chicken livers; spray a few squirts. In the juice of the livers stir it in and put liver on hook. Sit back and wait on the bite to begin....it won'be very long once the fish have the attractant in the water.

will the walleye help catch more bass?

Answer: Basic ingredients are all the same. I believe it will improve your ability to attract bass as much as it will for walleyes.

Answer: honestly, i'd get the Baitmate Max Live (lime green liquid). i've caught more all around species with that, including Walleye and Large/Smallmouth Bass. it's pretty much the same formula, with more of an Anise oil sent (the actual attractant), and the same formula as the original i used in the 90's which worked great.

Answer: I was ice fishing this year. 4 1/2 hours in. Not a bite. Has 4 tip ups in the water. Went to check my bait and remembered I had this. Decided to put it on my smelt. When I finished putting it on my last line. I looked and my 1st tip up was up. Ran over to set the hook. Looked and my 4th tip up was up!! Don't know if it was dumb luck or not but landed a 19# and 15# pike!! So I feel it works at least a little for other species.

Answer: Sorry I don’t fish fresh water for carps. I do use baitmate salt water attractant for redfish,blk drum and trout,very good.

Too early to honestly tell if it helps catch more fish but I can vouch for the "adhesive" property of the scent. I've just returned from a day of using it out on the lake and I've taken a shower and washed my hands 5 times since I've returned and I can still smell it on my fingers, so it's fair to say that the scent will stay on your lure or bait for a long, long, long, long time?

Nothing really impressive. I got just about the same amount of fish with and with out it. The bottle never works kind of inconvenient and the guard around the nozzle is not exactly spill proof either every now and then i have some of the product in the bottom of my tackle box. however the gel is very colorful and has a metallic sparkle to it which i believe my get the attention of more fish.

Fishermen will never agree on which scents do/don't work. I can't say if scents attract fishbut I know they mask human scent while keeping baits flexible and lubricated. This one works as well, or better, as many others I've tried. In particular: it's easy to apply, keeps well, and adheres to plastics with surprising durability.

I've used this product for over 3 years now and take it on every fishing trip. I love the new pump guard so you don't get attractant on the inside of your bag or car when you're hiking or driving in to your favorite fishing spot. This stuff is potent and it's pretty hard to get the smell out of anything fabric.

Ok, so for the actual attractant: it works well if used correctly. First of all, research has shown that of all a fish's senses olfactory, or smell, is the strongest. So it's a good idea to have something smelly to get their attention. That being said, attractant will not replace having the right color of lure or the right technique for fishing a worm. It's only a tool to add to your game, it should not be the basis of it. It's best used twice to three times when you first start fishing, and soak the lure/bait every time. Once the water where you're casting has some attractant mixed in it you don't need to use it anymore. On calm days after spraying my lure twice, I have literally had fish come up and hit the water where the attractant was surfacing! In the right conditions it works well.

Here are conditions in which this does not work: IF YOU DON'T SHAKE IT! I have forgotten to shake my attractant more than once and have found markedly less action every time. If the water's choppy you can probably leave it at home. The waves will wash your attractant from your casting area. This is true of all liquid attractants though. I've only used this on lakes, so I can't attest to its effectiveness in current or rivers, but I would guess that the more current you have the less effective it would be. Finally the right lure matters. THIS DOES NOT WORK AS WELL ON HARD LURES. You need a lure that has some porosity, like a plastic worm, or some way to hold the liquid, like the skirt of a rooster tail. These are my two favorite lures to use with this attractant, especially the rooster tail because it can spread the attractant faster. If you were fishing a hard spoon or minnow, you may not find this to be the best attractant because it'll probably get washed off too quickly.

So it's an above average attractant if used correctly and in the right conditions.

Didn't have much luck with it but baitmaster are usually pretty good. I caught a couple of black bass only

4 starts because bottle was not sealed properly , I left it in my tackle and opened in 2 days later to find a lot of mess and congealed spray. Water evaporated leaving just gunk
