It is winter here and I have not had the chance to use either of the two mates I purchased this winter but I can tell you I purchased a Piscifun reel last season and it works and preforms as well as reels I have costing well over $200.00. I use my reels as much in one season as a lot of people do in their lifetime and the only thing I had to do to these reels is oil them.

This is my 2nd Piscifun baitcast reel I have purchased. Very smooth cast, these reels have performed as well as my more expensive reels. I have not had any issues with either reel, they are light and allow me to fish all day, I can't wait to try one of their fly reels.

Went to use it and had a minor issue. Piscifun contacted me and offered to replace.
Received the replacement reel and it is great. Best casting, smoothest reel I own. These can't stay at this price for long!

RJ : Not dissappointed.

The reel is very smooth in both casting and retrieving of a 1/3 oz. practice plug. I have the friction knob tightened down but it still will not keep the plug from pulling off line. I have been able to adjust this out by using the magnetic control and have suffered no over runs or backlashes. I might have gotten some grease where it shouldn't be since I clean and lube the reel after I have broken them in. I have mounted the reel on a bps carbon lite rod with medium light action and 8 pound test line with braid backing. I haven't been able to get to the lake with it yet, but I am satisfied with the performance of the reel as it compares to the results that I have gotten from more expensive reel. I can not give any results about reliance or durability yet, but so far I have no complaints. I have been using level winds since the mid 70's and this is one that has been easy to setup and extremely smooth and has been casting the plug further than I am use too. Right now I believe that it was money well spent, though I am not overjoyed about the color. I hope this review might help you make a decision on your next purchase.
