Questions about SimpleHouseware Vacuum Sealer Bags Roll Food Sous Vide Bag Roll, 2-Pack (11" x 50' and 8'' x 50', total 100 feet)
Q:
What is the diameter of these rolls when new? My unit will accept up to 2-1/2" before being to tight.
Answer: The roll is 3 1/2". It seems like good stuff at a reasonable price. I suggest you just unroll some. Make two rolls from one.
Answer: They are 3 1/2 inches in diameter. Your unit is probably similar to mine. What I do is leave the roll out of the unit and just undo the amount I need, use the cutter to cut it off, seal one end, put the food in, then seal as usual. Then, of course, as the diameter of the roll diminishes with use you can eventually put the roll in the unit. It's a little more work but these rolls are so inexpensive it's worth it.
Answer: do not know the diameter, its a little big when first put in, but i am able to put in my unit
Answer: I have a basic model. It does not store the rolls so i'm not sure if i can help.
Q:
Are these bags reusable, freezer and dishwasher safe?
Answer: they are freezer safe. I've used mine to freeze foods with no issues, not sure about reusable or dishwasher safe though. They're pretty sturdy and thick, so I imagine you could wash them and use them again if you had enough bag left to seal.
Answer: Yes they are reusable and freezer safe. Putting it in the dishwasher that I haven't tried yet but I guess it should be ok.
Answer: I wouldn't re-use them or try and run one through the dishwasher. Could you? That's a good question.
Answer: They are BPA free. The description says the are microwave, simmer and freezer safe. I've only ever used them to freeze. I reuse them by hand washing. I found them to be just as good as the food saver brand. I hope this helps :)
Answer: Yes, Yes, and maybe. I never put them in the dishwasher.
Answer: Yes we do
Q:
Kf-003-2 vacuum sealer rolls 11" by 50" where are they made, china, usa?
Answer: CHINA
Q:
What is the thickness of these bags? (in ml)
Answer: It is 4 mil on gloss side, 10 mil on texture side
Q:
Do these work with the Anova vacuum sealer?
Answer: Yes, they sure do. I use these in my Anova vacuum sealer, for Sous Vide with my Anova as well & for freezing. No issues at all, they work great.
Answer: If you mean do these vacuum sealer rolls work well. Yes the do. I've ordered them 4 times.
Answer: I don't know, as my sealer is a different brand.
Answer: I don't know, I use a Foodsaver.
Answer: Foodsaver
Q:
Will these work for geryon food saver
Answer: I have an older foodsaver. The bags are generic and I wasn't sure if they would work as well as the foodsaver brand bags. I tried them anyway, they worked perfectly. I have never heard of the brand you have and I know this isn't an exact answer for you but food savers basically suck out the air and seal the bag so you could buy a small amount and try them. The bags are as good of quality as the brand name. Wish you well.
Answer: Yes they do. Been buying for years. One thing is that the rolls won’t fit inside the unit. I back roll onto empty roll then it fits. Then the purchased roll will fit when smaller
Answer: I’m pretty sure these are universal vacuum seal bags.
Answer: yes!
Q:
Are these bags textured or Smith? My sealer doesn’t work with slick bags.
Answer: they are like the FoodSaver bags. smooth on one side and textured on the other. My Food Saver will seal these with either side down.
Answer: Textured on one side. They should work fine. Not to worry about the Smith side!!! Lol
Answer: Textured on one side as most good bags are!!
Answer: These are textured and identical to FoodSaver bags
Answer: One side is xx smooth the other textured.
Answer: I think one side is textured. I'd give it a try. I think you can return it if it doesn't work for you.
Q:
how many bags
Answer: you determine that by cutting to size for what you are storing - high quality and works well - price is much lower than purchasing bags - however, you do have to seal both ends - you can figure number of bags by dividing total length of roll (in inches) by projected length of bag needed ex. if you think you will need 9" bag, then add 2" for seal at both ends and divide 600" by 11" for total number of bags
Answer: It’s a long continuous roll so the bags are whatever size you make them. If you want 12 inch long bags in each size then it would be 50 per roll but if your bags are 24 inches long it would be 25 bags per roll. TL:DR they’re rolls.
Answer: Not bags rolls
Answer: Hi the bags are on a roll where you can cut off and create whatever size bag you want according to the amount of food or items you are going to vaccum seal.
Answer: They come in a continuous roll. You cut to the length of your requirement.
Answer: One of each size.
Q:
Will simple houseware vacuum seal bags work ?
Answer: They work just as well as the FoodSaver bags that were included with my sealer (model FM2000), personally did not see any difference between theirs and the Simple Houseware bags.
Answer: As long as your sealer handles the sizes and you fill them correctly and seal them. The bags work great I have been using them for 4 years. I seal the vegetables I grow.
Q:
Could you tell me the country where these are manufactured?
Answer: No indication on package label. Customer service number: 800-349-0716
Answer: I wouldn't be surprised if it was made in China.
Q:
Will the 11" wide bags work in a nutrichef pkvs18?
Answer: Yes, I have reviewed some codes and it appears to be compatible with this machine as seen with the same size bags used in the video. https://youtu.be/LdgeSSSogz4
Answer: not sure i have a food saver, the only thing the rolls are very big and don't fit that well
Q:
Will this work with FoodSaver V4440 2-in-1
Answer: I don't know for sure but I have a Pictek Vacuum Sealer, Easy One-Touch 2-in-1 Fully Automatic Food Vacuum Saver Sealing System Machine and they work great.
Answer: I've seen other reviews that say these bags will work with FoodSaver machines. Since I have the Zip Loc machine, I don't really know. Sorry.
Answer: Absolutely. It's what I use. Works perfectly.
Q:
Do these work well with the Ziplock vacuum sealing machine?
Answer: My son and I both use these and I can't tell the difference. Only thing is in my machine the roll is too large in diameter so I rolled them into two rolls and they work great. I will continue to use them.
Answer: Most definitely they are great ???? just cut the size you want & seal one end, then fill. Easy as that !!! We love them & will be ordering again.
Answer: I don't know, I have Food Saver
Answer: I don't no
Answer: What else
Answer: absolutely
Q:
is this made in the USA?
Answer: It’s not listed on the packaging where it’s made however the company that sells it, Simple houseware is located in California.
Q:
Will this fit the Nesco V-12 vaccum sealer ?
Answer: the description say fits All vacuum sealers
Answer: I think most of the machines pretty much take 11 inch and the link doesn’t matter that’s what my wife and I have found with ours 11 inch being the width and you could have it 50 feet long if you want it doesn’t matter you just do the edge you need cut off what you need turn it around fillet suck the air out of it and it’ll seal it up
Q:
Instead of asking if these work for a specific model, what is the approximate diameter of the new rolls? My machine will accept up to 2-1/2" before be
Answer: these rolls are about 4 1/2 inches with a radius of approx. 2.3 inches, so i load my food saver three times with each roll
Answer: about 3 1/2 each one no they do not fit in my machine so i put them behind it and just run the plastic thru the cutter. so no it looks like they are to big if you want them inside your machine
Answer: These tools will not fit in your machine. I just measure what I need cut seal and vacume
Q:
I'm new to this process...does the "roll" of bags fit into the sealing appliance? If so, will I need to order a machine that accommodates the roll?
Answer: I have a FoodSaver model # V3245. Older model. The rolls are really big (thick) so in order for me to place them in the storage area in the machine. I have to cut my bags off as I need them until the roll is thin enough to fit in the holding area in the machine. The bags are the correct with to seal.
Answer: I do not have the machine that stores a roll - It seemed too bulky to store easily for me. Also, I use different widths, depending on what I'm sealing. it's easy to just grab the roll I need and cut from it.
Answer: We are new to the process as well. You are just placing the end of the roll into the machine to seal the bottom then you cut enough to fit the food item you are dealing plus 3 inches. You then place the open end into the machine to vacuum and seal
Answer: it was great and cheap
Q:
What vacuum sealers can use these bags ?
Answer: Probably all of them that do large and small bags. As long as you have 11” across to seal the bags you should be fine. I have a NutriChef and they work great.
Answer: Any one that uses textured bags and has an 11” wide sealing capacity.
Answer: I imagine they will work with any sealer unless you need them to fit inside an automatic feed of some sort. The longer roll is 11". Is you equipment narrower than that?
Answer: most any, my sealer is off-brand and this product works fine...
Answer: I have a Foodsaver but I'm sure any brand will work just fine as long as it's big enough for the bags. These bags work great and are by far the best value you're going to find.
Answer: I use my FoodSaver and it works great!
Answer: Believe they are universal.
Q:
What tis the plastic made of? someone already asked if it is hdpe (high density polyethylene) but you seem to avoid the question?
Answer: I have no idea what they’re made of. Sorry
Q:
Are the bags smell proof?
Answer: Do you mean, do the bags have a smell? Or, can you conceal a smell?
Answer: Should I get a cops opinion?
Q:
Is the material textured or smooth? My sealer will not work w/ slick material.
Answer: One side of the material is textured. I have used them and they work very well.....Happy with my purchase, think you will be too.
Answer: One side is smooth and other textured.
Answer: Textured on one side.
Q:
Do they work in a foodsaver 5200?
Answer: It should. They are good bags. Virtually the same as FoodSaver bags.
Answer: They work great in my FoodSaver FM2435, so I would think they would work for you.
Answer: They should work on any foodsaver vacuum device. This is what I use and have no problems.
Answer: They should work fine in any model or brand of vacuum sealer machine
Answer: I am not sure. I have model V4980. Sorry I couldn’t help.
Q:
Does this have lines or folds?
Answer: One side of the bag material is crosshatched, the other is smooth. There are sizing marks on the edges of the bag material, which I use to estimate bag size, but no lines across the bag.
Answer: It has sealed lines on the sides. Love the product.
Answer: No they do not.
Q:
Do these bags work with a nutrichef pkvs18bk?
Answer: I cannot answer to that.
Q:
What is the the bags made of? are they made of high-density polyethylene? and what is the maximum temperture?
Answer: I don't have any information other than what the specs say: FDA Approved and BPA Free, Simmer and Microwave Safe; HEAVY DUTY: Commercial grade multi-ply material .... I don't know if it's plastic or poly. At this point, I only use it for fridge, freezer, and storing dry goods. Since it's okay to simmer, you probably wouldn't leave the bag in at a full rolling boil (I don't cook things in plastic or poly). Also, I do not have a microwave.
Answer: They are heavier type of bag. I haven't had any problems with sealing them, but have not tried to simmer or heat in microwave.
Answer: Yes, they are poly, but of a thinner ply than Zip Loc. Almost impossible to get them to seal and hold their seal in the freezer or when heating contents in a pan of water - they leak.
Q:
This has great reviews,,,Any cons??
Answer: So far no cons. I think it's a great deal. The plastic is a little stiffer, maybe, but works just as well. The full rolls are too thick to fit into the machine, so I rolled half onto an old cardboard core to make it fit.
Answer: I don't know of any cons. They are simple to use, sturdy and inexpensive compared to other bags.
Answer: No cons. The rolls are too fat in the unit, but I'm not going to complain about getting too much of a good thing.
Answer: I love them, but if I were to find anything wrong I would have to say that the roll is too big for the food saver. When cutting to size you have to fight with it a little at first to pull it out. It's quite a minor thing.
Answer: I was very pleased with the rolls. Will buy again
Answer: No issues, the product works well as advertised. Very good cost savings.
Answer: No
Answer: No
Q:
Can you use them for dry aging beef?
Answer: You can vacuum seal pretty much anything, from marbles to dry aging beef!
Answer: Definitely NOT a good idea. Need to use an UMAI bag instead as it's made for dry aging. These bags are bad. Do not buy.
Answer: I don’t use them for this application. You should check with the seller or manufacturer.
Answer: I don’t know why you couldn’t .. Try it and let me know ?
Answer: I haven't tried that, but I don't see why you wouldn't be able to.
Q:
What vacuums can I used this with
Q:
Do you know what these bags are made of? i've been looking online and other sealer rolls are made of either plastic or poly+nylon. thank you so much!
Q:
Why do you advertise "1 day delivery", when I have waited for three months and still no delivery!!!!!!!!!!!!
Q:
Do these bags work with Food Saver V3250 ?
Answer: i have a food saver do not know model number but they work in mine fine if it does not seal when first put it in i just turn it over never have had a problem yet. mine is a few years old now
Q:
Do these fit in the seal a meal vacuum brand ?
Answer: If "Seal a Meal" is a machine brand name, then I don't know. I have a Foodsaver and they work fine. I imagine they would work with all type of vacuum sealers though.
Answer: They work great for the bags but the rolls are too big to fit inside the machine until you use about half of the roll.
Answer: Not sure...I have a food saver
Q:
Will these bags fit my the foodsaver® fm2100 vacuum sealing system.
Answer: Yes, it does fit very well.
Answer: Yes, all these Food Savers use the same common size, 8 and 11 inch.
Answer: Yes, I have the 2100 and they work great.
Answer: I'm sure they will
Q:
What temperature can these handle during cooking
Answer: I'm not sure. But I cook in them in my microwave on high and it does good.I will be ordering them again
Answer: I only use them to freeze food. The description says you can use them with a sous vide and microwave ... so I assume they can handle heat. I certainly wouldn’t use them in the oven though. These are a great product at a great price. I highly recommend them.
Answer: I really don,t think the bags are for cooking . There basicly for freezing. I may be wrong, but you might want to look into it more.
Answer: I’m sorry but we only use it to freeze food in
Q:
Where is this product made
Answer: Planet earth.
Q:
Can I used the dabaso vacuum with this
Answer: I do not know on that one. but if it is using just plastic sheets I do not see why it would not use them.
Answer: I am not sure, never heard of dabaso, sorry
Answer: I am not sure. I would ask the seller. I have a food saver model.
Q:
where is this bag made?
Answer: There is no indication of Country of Origin on these bags/packaging OR on the original Food Saver bags that came with the unit.
Q:
Will these bags fit over my ole ladys head?
Answer: Neither size would fit over your wife's head, unless she was born with the Zika virus but it appears that you are more likely to have the disease. Besides, it is a unnecessary cost to purchase 100 yards of plastic to suffocate you wife. You would be aware of this if you didn't suffer from brain damage. A simple plastic grocery bag will do. However, I would be careful in posing a question such as this on a public website, since it can be traced back to you, in the event you murder your wife.
Answer: No, but they will fit over yours...
Answer: I am sure you are just kidding, and I personally love this type of sick sense of humor. (Probably my own dain bramage). But in reality, no, and you should apologize to the people that you have offended. But I personally would love to sit and have a beer with you, and your old lady.
Answer: Not sure about that, but I'm sure they would fit perfectly on yours!
Answer: You Guys!! Too funny. Although, they may work as a rain bonnet.. haha
Answer: This is not funny! What are you thinking?
Answer: Sicko
Q:
Has anyone actually used these in the Sous vide at 185 F?
Answer: No, but they don't seal well in a Food Saver!
Answer: They work with food save brands and they are good quality
Q:
will both size rolls fit in my food saver 4800 series? i'm not sure about the 8 inch roll. thank you in advance!!
Answer: both of the rolls have to be divided in half, they are to big around to fit most if not all the machines. They roll up easy to make two out of one and fit perfect!
Answer: both rolls are larger than the regular 16` rolls so I spool half on at a time it`s not that hard to do and it`s worth the trouble for the value
Answer: No they won’t fit. However for me it’s not very inconvenient for the cost savings. They work very well, I recommend them.
Q:
Can this be used with the dabaso vacuum sealer?
Answer: Yes.
Q:
How many mil thick?
Answer: if you look a couple of questions above, it says 4 mils o the glossy side, 10 mils on the textured side, which is quite dense.
Q:
Can i do sous vide cooking in these? i am concerned about the chemicals leaching into the food and i don't want that. thanks.
Answer: They are BPA free so that's always good and in sous vide cooking you heat to such low tempurates that no breakdown of plastic would occur. Sous vide cooking is heating the food to the exact temp you want to eat it a or essentially so it's kinda like putting prepared food into plastic after you've cooked it.
Answer: It says they are comparable to FoodSaver sous vide bags.
Answer: I don't think you can the seal would come open.
Q:
So these roll are sealed on 3 sides? Then u fill and put in machine for vacuum and seal??
Answer: They are sealed on 2 sides. You seal both ends to make the bag whatever size you want.
Answer: The rolls are sealed on the side edges only so you can create whatever size bag you need. Much less waste this way but, you do have to manually seal the top and bottom.
Answer: The rolls are sealed on two sides. You need to cut and seal the bags horizontally to create the bags.
Answer: yes
Product reviews of SimpleHouseware Vacuum Sealer Bags Roll Food Sous Vide Bag Roll, 2-Pack (11" x 50' and 8'' x 50', total 100 feet)
R. Crooks : Meh. Get double sided embossing rolls
Single side embossing, and the flat side often wrinkles if you’re not careful when clamping the sealer.
I’d recommend buying something with double sided embossing. The rolls that came with my sealer didn’t have any issues like this, and we’re double sided.
T. L. Campisi : Does not keep the air out!!!
I made bags with my Food Saver and placed Brussels sprouts and broccoli inside. Put them in fridge( no air inside) Checked 3 days later and the bags were all puffed up with air!!! As far as I am concerned this is a total waste of my money and my time. Next time I will buy Food Saver bags. You can count on that! I will not be using for any more food. Maybe seal make-up or paper products to save from moisture but not food, that is for sure!
Steven : Great money saver
The name brand bags are prohibitively expensive. I was a little skeptical of ordering these, but they function just as well, if not better than, the name brand bags. Now I don't feel bad about cutting a little extra bag to ensure I have enough room. I have yet to have one fail to seal.
Sam Waltz : Absolute value
This product is an absolute value. The only difference is that there is no branding or guide lines on the surface to show you where to cut. The savings are substantial and I only found those lines annoying anyway! Very pleased with this purchase and would recommend to a friend.
Jim Dirkes : Does not fit inside most food savers
When I saw the ad, I was happy that I could get a lot of bags for a low-cost, but what I did not realize was that it did not fit inside my food saver. I ended up having to cut each bag to the size I wanted manually, seal them on one side, and then seal up my food. My own stupid fault.
Jim : Good product.
Not much to say. Does everything it should do. No complaints.
long_gone : Good value and quality.
Love the flexibility of creating my own size bag. However due to size of the roll, I can't store it in the vacuum sealer until quite a bit of the roll is used.
Gnoman : Difficult to seal and crease defects on 11" roll and end of of 8"
I use a Nutrichef sealer, and in order to guarantee a seal I have to exert manual pressure on the front above the sealing bar for both types. The 11" bags are worse since a manufacturing defect wrinkle / fold exists through the entire roll at an angle outwards from the center as though the bags were tensioned less on the edges. This means that they're usable in practice, hence the 2 stars instead of one, but waste a lot of time and wear on the machine double or triple sealing to find a location where the folds (which can't be removed by stretching) are low enough to fully seal and the textured part isn't *too* textured, not to mention the wear on the machine. The bags included with it didn't have this problem (used a couple of them partway through the rolls so i know it's not a machine breakdown) so I'll probably use the rest of the 8" roll and throw the remaining 1/2 of the 11" in the trash when their brand of bags that cost a buck more get here.
Frank Smith : Just as good as the more expensive brand
Not sure where the negative reviews come from. This is a good food grade plastic bag that seals and preserves food just like the more expensive brand. Maybe those that had problems don’t really know how to use vacuum seal bags. I’ve flash frozen everything from cod to chicken to meatballs with vacuum sealed with these bags and have no problems. Save yourself a few bucks and get these, a bags a bag!
S. Schachter : Great bags
Excellent quality and value but the rolls do not fit into foodsaver storage slot until the rolls is used and becomes small enough to fit.
BUT you can still use the bag cutter building into the unit, just can't store the rolls inside until it gets smaller. I would buy again.
DG : Bag it and Tag it
These are perfection. In fact, the are better than the ones that came with my sealing machine. They are slightly thinner so they seal much better but still PLENTY think enough for freezer.
Also, they bonus is that the roll is huge and contains way more sq.ft than the manufacturers rolls.
This does lead, however, to and issue fitting it into my roller/cutter but hey, for this much more product, I will use scissors :)
Karen Ballard : Really good product
Although the roll will not fit in the machine, it is easy to deal with. Simply lay the roll on the countertop, thread the end under the cutter and pull through the size needed. Seal as usual. This product is equal to the food saver bags at a fraction of the cost. So glad I found this item. Goodbye Foodsaver brand
Becky and Mike Jones : Great buy!
These are great. You can cut them in to any size you want. The seal holds and the food lasts a long time because the bags you’re so well. I will definitely be re-ordering them.
I also ordered an extra set as a gift for a friend that processes meet. They use these bags to seal the meat they process.
Rishathra : Works great, awesome value
I only have 2 small complaints with this item:
1. The role is physically too large to fit inside my machine
2. There are no markings on it to aid in measuring how much to cut.
That being said, I made a quick and cheap holder out of scrap wood and a dowel, and use my paper cutter to measure and cut them.
Easy peasy nice and squeezy.
Keri : Same quality as other more expensive food shrink wrap but costs much less ?
Ordered these for my food saver. Trimmed the large rolls so they would fit inside my food saver for storage.
These rolls are exactly like the brand name ones I used to use, same strength , same texture and durability but you get a lot more for your money. Definite good quality and great value .
Beach Bum 312 : Appears to be as good as the Food Save brand at a lower cost
We have made more than 15 bags of various items to be cooked in our Sous Vide, no failures yet. Seems to be as good as the Food Save brand at a lower per item cost. We use Food Saver FM2400 to vacuum and seal the bags. We have also used this to seal leftovers, we then use our Sous Vide to reheat the leftovers, works great no problems, no leaks. We have frozen meat and marinated chicken going from the freezer to the Sous Vide without any issues.
Ernest Matthews : Great replacement
This is my second order. The bags are great quality and seal perfectly if you prepare the items to seal. If there is a lot of liquid with the item put in some absorbent to soak it up. I use a paper towel. These bags are as good as if not better than the original.
High Hopes : WORKS LIKE A CHARM
Works like a charm with our vacuum sealer. Much less expensive than making bags. With these rolls, you can cut off just the amount you need, seal one end, add your food, then seal the other end. WAY better than bags that tell you what size you have to use, whether or not you need that large a size.
Casey Muratori : Poor quality, every 5th bag or so does not work
I rarely leave reviews for anything, but this product was bad enough that I felt compelled. I purchased this to use as my normal food saver sealing bags when the ones that came with the machine ran out. Not only do these not have the convenient "cutting lines" that the official kind do (which make it much easier to cut evenly), about one out of every 5 times I try to make a bag, it doesn't seal. I presume this is due to either poor quality plastic or poor machining that leaves tiny invisible holes somewhere in the bag.
I would strongly suggest buying a higher-quality roll, it is not worth the hassle.
Ernest Matthews : Great replacement
This is my second order. The bags are great quality and seal perfectly if you prepare the items to seal. If there is a lot of liquid with the item put in some absorbent to soak it up. I use a paper towel. These bags are as good as if not better than the original.
JH : Food Saver Rolls
Works fine with my food saver but rolls are giant size so I have to use a little at a time. The large rolls do not allow the top to close but if I make roll smaller it is fine and great price.
fr33 m0n13$ : Vacuum Rolls.
They do their job well. very cost effective compared to other options online. If you're looking at getting them quickly online this is probably your best best. That being said if you have a car and a open-to-public type of restaurant store or restaurant supply store near you, many sell individual rolls for a little as 3$/11"x50' (3mil thickness)
These work fine for sous vide. When I'm packaging leftovers or meat, it's easy enough to fold the tops over so you get a clean seal (this can be hard with 5mil bags.) Get a cheap machine (foodsavers on sale or clearance) with good suction and you'll be saving money in no time.
When used properly I've never had an issue with suction, airlockage, spoilage, or the seals breaking.
nearoffutt : Useful for odd shaped items, and items other than food.
These worked fine for storing paint brushes, an opened partial bag of hydraulic cement, loaves of homemade garlic bread, and venison summer sausage. These supplement our pre measured and cut pint/quart/gallon vacuum bags for odd sized items. We have stored items, but have not yet opened any stored items but the paint brush. It was still good, with the paint not dried out to finish a project started one Saturday, and finished the next weekend. We then used the bag to hold the brush when discarded.
Debra H. : Works well with FoodSaver FM3941
Good seal. Good value. Food is well kept. Fits FoodSaver Brand sealer. Actually, works better than the plastic that came with the FoodSaver (you had to line up the grid a certain way or the FoodSaver bags did not hold a seal). These were purchased last year. I used them recently & they are still working well. Pulled out frozen food sealed last year & quality of the food was good.
T. Dez G : Great bags, great price!
Great value for the low price. I was impressed upon opening them and seeing how big the rolls are. They are twice as big as the rolls that came with my vacuum sealer. I will be absolutely be purchasing these again.
Phred : Outstanding in its field
Mind you, I'm new to vacuum sealing, but since I got a Sous Vide machine for Christmas, this makes the cookery so much easier. I no longer have to burp the bag in a water mix since these bags and a vacuum sealer does it for me. The company making the vacuum sealer warned me about using Brand-X, yet I get a wonderful seal.
Jaebea : Doesn't work with the Geryon
I gave it 1 star only because it doesn't work with my Geryon. The machine couldn't get enough suction to get the air out. The thinner bags work fine. $20 wasted. Not the bags fault. They just don't work with the Geryon.
Mars : Very good bag and a good price too
These are very easy to use and especially nice since you can cut them to the size you need. Perfect for both freezer and refrigerator storage. I found them very useful for avocados. Too often, you don't eat the whole fruit and stick it in the fridge for next time only to find it has started to turn brown. Sealing it in one of these custom sized bags keeps it as fresh as if you had just cut it open. I really like these bags. Will definitely purchase again.
Pat Sullivan : Roll is to big for my food saver machine
Did not realize the rolls would not fit in my food saver. The product is good but I have to cut them my hand before I can seal the first end.
Brett F. : Not worth saving a few bucks.
These bags do not seal as well as the namebrand alternatives. The plastic is extremely thin and punctures about 33% more often than other bags we have used in the past. We have lost saved produce, meat, and fish to freezer burn When these bags lost seal after failing during normal handling. I would not recommend these bags if you value what you are saving.

Kindle Customer slm : High quality
These bags work really well and are of high quality. Very good value. These seem the best I’ve ordered so far. I will order again when I need more.
Diana : Good but not for liquids
I’ve used these bags for about six months and they are thick BUT I’ve lost a couple of $30 steaks because of a hole at the seam. Is that the food saver or the bag...not sure. Also, liquids don’t seem to stay sealed. I will say make sure all packages don’t have any air or sharp edges that can poke other bags.

Ryan : Nearly the same as the original. Good buy.
These work nearly as well as the "food saver" brand. Seems to have a little less texture allowing the pump to pull air from little spaces. That said, it is worth it. The food saver brand is so expensive. No issues with actual sealing if the bags.
Gina : they work, and for a better price
i have no issues with these bags at all. they are better priced than the brand name and do the same job
By CJs Pirate : Highly Recommended for Sous Vide and Freezing
As a retired professional chef and current culinary educator, I go through a lot of product. When I buy extras for either home or school I break it down into manageable portions and vacuum seal it for freezing or subsequent sous vide cookery.
This material is perfect for my needs. I like that there's plenty to it (I don't mind cutting it down to fit the trough in the FoodSaver) and it seals well. As noted, I use this not only for storage but cooking. Sous vide requires watertight integrity and this product works well.
Highly recommended by me!
Kasia G : Thinner plastic than name brand
The product is good for the price, only thing is that the plastic is thinner than the original name brand sealer bags so sometimes it doesn't want to suck the air out and I have to redo it 2-3x, so it can be frustrating. They also don't fit inside my mechanism, but i can still trim them using the cutter on the machine.
Over all these are good. Not sure if the pros beat the cons or vice versa.
Steven : Great money saver
The name brand bags are prohibitively expensive. I was a little skeptical of ordering these, but they function just as well, if not better than, the name brand bags. Now I don't feel bad about cutting a little extra bag to ensure I have enough room. I have yet to have one fail to seal.
fr33 m0n13$ : Vacuum Rolls.
They do their job well. very cost effective compared to other options online. If you're looking at getting them quickly online this is probably your best best. That being said if you have a car and a open-to-public type of restaurant store or restaurant supply store near you, many sell individual rolls for a little as 3$/11"x50' (3mil thickness)

carlomom : Good tough bags
These are good sturdy bags. They work in my Food Saver just fine. The bigger rolls dont fit in the roll dispenser, they would need a few less feet on the roll to fit. But you can buy these rolls that way if that is what you like. I have bought them both ways, same quality bags. These are all I buy anymore. They hold up.
PRB : They work great with my FoodSaver
I've used both the large and small rolls with my FoodSaver and they work with no issues. The rolls are too big to fit in the FoodSaver, but I just cut off enough for each item that I'm sealing. It's a little inconvenient, but the value (lower price) of these rolls over the more expensive brand name more than make up for that minor inconvenience.
Joe Ro : Bag's seem good enough, But my vacuum sealer ( FOOD SAVER) ...
Bag's seem good enough, But my vacuum sealer ( FOOD SAVER) may not be up to the task, it seems I need to seal these bag's twice to get a good bond. More often then not they leak air. The mill thickness may be more then my sealer can handle.
Pat Sullivan : Roll is to big for my food saver machine
Did not realize the rolls would not fit in my food saver. The product is good but I have to cut them my hand before I can seal the first end.
Deej : Great Value
With the vacuum food saver I received at Christmas I was supplied with some pre-cut bags and an eight inch small roll of plastic bag material that you could cut to fit whatever you were storing at the time. I saw this was a better value than pre-cut bags, so when it came time to renew my supply, this is the choice I made. At first, I did not think that I needed the larger eleven inch roll, but it did not take long to see that it is a handy size as well. I use mine almost exclusively for freezing meats and fish. Previously, I used freezer paper. I like the vacuum system much better, I am finding that there is less frost on the meats. The two roll pack is a great value, it will last me a long time.
Mark C : Great bags and twice as much for your money!
Pros:
Good durable bags, even better than the foodsaver bags. Thicker material make them better with less buckling when you try to get them in the sealer after they have been used once or twice. All and all, I am very happy with these bags.
Cons:
Because you get twice as much, they dont fit inside the sealer. I took one of the other users suggesting and rolled them out to empty spool and they fit fine now. Just takes a bit of time and elbow grease!
PapaJoe : Good Value
These rolls work well on various types of foods. Vacuum as much as you need these bags work and seal great. So far as I am concerned.
