Can I disable the auto-off function?

Answer: It measures in kg. Just multiply X 1000 to get grams. Example 6kg x 1000 = 6000 grams.

Can i use this for trigger pull weight

Answer: Qualified yes. The hook isn’t long enough to clear a pistol grip or stock. This scale is identical to a scale that came with attachments to measure recoil spring weights. Original scale display failed very quickly. Purchased this as replacement. Screen was DOA. Seller credited me for the price and did not ask for a return..

Is it possible to disable the locking function?

Answer: magda...you can disable the locking feature by pressing the tare button (which will let you keep adding more weight, after the first weight is set to zero) or by just turning the scale off and on again (and repeating the weighting process, with weight off and weight on)...! Stagg...!

Answer: You do not need to use the locking function. Zero out with the tare button

Here in Southwest Florida fishing is a popular sporting activity. Whether taking the boat out into the Gulf of Mexico, the back bays, or one of the nearby rivers (Estero, Caloosahatchee, Peace), or fishing from the shore at Wiggins Pass or Lover's Key State Parks, it is imperative that fishers follow the size and weight rules governed by our local FWC division.

There are many endangered, rare and protected species in this area (close proximity to the Everglades). Certain fish may be kept, but it is not uncommon for FWC reps to set up check points to check for proper permits and to peruse the catches and perform weigh ins. This is why scales are an important commodity for local fishers: to protect the species, and themselves.

This digital scale performs its intended job. The blue LCD screen displays weight with a large black block font. Weight measurements are accurate, and the hook is strong. The scale weighs in 88lbs and under, so keep in mind this isn't going to weigh in a monster Goliath Grouper or Bull Shark, but it will do for your typical non-deep-sea catches (the ones you'll bring home to eat!).

I got this for my husband to weigh parts for his r/c planes. He really likes it as it seems very accurate. The quality is also good. It's advertised as a luggage scale, but it can be used for a whole lot more. This is a handy little scale to have around the house.

The numbers seem pretty consistent with my other scales.

Tare is only additive: if you want to tare a bag and then add things to the bag, that works iff you never remove the bag. As soon as you remove the bag to add things to it and then put it back on the scale, the scale just sits there showing the tare weight of the bag until you reset it. Yes, no matter how quick you are.

Also, the LCD is difficult to read if the scale is not at eye level. I have it hanging about a foot above my head (so I can weigh tall things, and also not bump my head on it), which doesn't work very well.
