Is it the cords that are made of nylon or are the cords made of cotton or other fiber?

Answer: The clamps work good but the chin strap does not hold because it is Nylon and so it slips...

Will these stop my hat from flying off my head at high speeds on my motorcycle?

Answer: These kept a winter hat with a furry Pom Pom on top on my head while on a motorcycle!! So I would say yes, they’ll keep your hat from flying off! They’re awesome!

This worked great.. when you don't want to use them and don't want to take them off just tucked them in the hat.

Wanted for my ball cap while driving my convertible. The short one does not have much of a grip. That is after I had to put one clip back together. It was in pieces and some might find it difficult to repair. I tried clipping one end to my hat and the other to my shirt collar. I have my doubts about it holding if the wind blew my hat off at 60mph. The longer one goes on either side of the cap with a strap under the chin and a slide to tighten it. This one works well.

The plastic alligator clips are too weak to hold your hat in the wind. This product does not work as intended in a normal environment. Spend a few extra $ to purchase staring metal clips.
