Picture shows bamboo net. Ordered ot and now its a metal one. Whitch one is it?

Answer: The one we have is wood, just like the picture.

Is it metal frame like picture or bamboo like description?

Answer: Bamboo. Great inexpensive net. Still going great after two years and lots of fish!.. :)

Answer: I have had mine a while but it is wood and good quality!

Is there a replacement net available?

Is this truly less than 3.5 ounces?

Is 15" the overall length or just the basket length?

Answer: The basket is 15" and a little. Used this quite a bit this summer. I only use a net on larger fish, so I was doing well. I had no trouble putting bigger fish in this net. Fly did not hang up. NOTE, I cut about two inches off the handle. I also sanded the handle down a little. Just made it fit my hand the way on want. I would by again. New handle length is 21". So 23 out of the box.

How deep is the net? Is it intended specifically for catch and release?

Answer: The net is 11 inches deep. The frame is 9 inches wide and 15 inches long. Don't know if specific for catch and release?? Not sure what that means!!!

Is this actually 3.5 ounces as advertised?

Answer: Feels like it.

Just the net I've been looking for. My old net was way too deep and the holes were large enough where small fish would slip through. The mesh on this net is tight-knit and will hold the smallest of fish.

I got this net in the mail, same day, went fishing and pulled a nice brown from the river using a small Rapala. The treble hooks got so tangled in the net that I had to cut the lure from the net to get it untangled. Spend the extra few bucks and get the plastic net.

This net is on the lost end of fish nets. I love to fish but hard to justify a $100 net. So i took a chance-- it has worked great-- has held up well and the fine net spacing does a good job for catch and release fishing. Good buy.

This a a VERY nice trout net for the money.

Good balance, lightweight (important when you clip it to hook on back of your vest with a retrieve self rewind line), and very well built.

I highly recommend this. Used it 2 days after I got it in a nice Tennessee trout stream by Gatlinburg and bagged my limit with it's help!

The picture of the net I ordered was aluminum framed with a green net with larger openings. I just threw away a net exactly like this one when I had to cut the net to remove a lure. Now I have TWO MORE!!!! It will cost more to return them than they cost. Should have went to Cabelas!!!!

A net that's perfect for my kids to catch thing in the creek. Works well for frogs, minnows, crayfish, etc. Also works with blue crabs, spider crabs, and hermit crabs (although the hermit crab doesn't really require a net). It doesn't break after the first use, or second, use, or third use.......you get the picture.

Useless! First time out, I spent nearly a half hour trying to get my lure out of the netting material. Finally had to cut the net to get the lure out of the net. Threw the thing in the garbage.
