Answer: No, this accessory hose only fits FoodSaver FM2000, FM2100, GM2050 and GM2150. The hose that works with your V2860 is T17-0059. Happy shopping!
Answer: I am not familiar with the v2860, but that model has an auxiliary hose that can be used with canisters. The auxiliary hose probably has a male end that is not compatible with the male end of the FA2000.

Answer: Yes, you plug it into your food saver port and press Vacuum. You do need to hold the green part tightly to the circle on the bag to get a good suction. I find that the bags sometimes still don't maintain suction but when they do, they really help preserve cheeses, lunch meats, etc.

Answer: The FA2000 is not a replacement part for the retractable hose on your foodsaver. It is for foodsavors that don't have retractable hoses, but have a fitting on the foodsaver for this type of accessory.

Answer: Agreed the picture doesn't show much. There are two green plastic connectors on each end of the tube. One of those connectors fits into the FoodSaver device and the other one fits into the vacuum bag. You can see one of those green connectors on the left part of the black handle thing. Its use more self explanatory in person than in the photo.

Answer: If your Foodsaver has a female plug, then this will work. Just gently plug it in or the green part can easily break but if it does, you can find parts on the FoodSavor sight. You close and turn on your foodsaver and press the vaccum button and it sucks the air out really well. Keep in mind the bottom of this little sucker is oval. Im sure it will work with foodsaver containers but it didn't with the off brand ones I bought. However it will work on zip bags. None the less, you must keep ur Foodsaver out so its easily accessible or better yet, buy the battery powered sealer if you only plan to use it on zip bags. Good luck!

Answer: It's not a button. It's an accessory port. You can buy accessories that will either remove air from special vacuum bags or remove air from mason jars. I don't like using the special bags. They're expensive and they leak air. But I use the mason jar thing all the time. Cut up veggies, throw em in the jar, vaccuum seal it and they stay fresh for a long time. When I make soups or pastas I put leftovers in jars, seal em, and freeze them.

Answer: You separate the clear plastic bottom part with a gentle twist and pull. The bottom part is really only useful for their zip closure bags ~ which I do Not recommend. The top part now is inserted in the jar sealer while you start the FoodSaver.

I was told there was no way to fix/repair my broken nozzle on my Food Saver model. But then I found this, bought it, and just cut off the old one and retrofitted this unit into the old vacuum sealer hose. Works perfectly and I didn't have to replace the entire unit. BRAVO!

Stay away from the Food Saver Brand as the customer service is terrible and the products are junk. The rubber on this item that attaches to the Food saver storage container has torn away after about 2 months of use. In addtion the coiled air hose is a terrible design because it causes the connector to never stay in the machine. In addition the connectors are plastic, poorly designed and will break within a few months. I have purchased over 20 hoses and all have broken eventually. If I can find any other brand I will change when this unit dies

This is plastic and needs to be pushed into and pulled out of a connector on your sealer. Eventually it WILL break. In the meanwhile, it does a great job sealing "zipper" vacuum bags I keep some Havarti cheese and other Deli items in. which in turn keeps those fresh MUCH longer than a regular zipper bag.

I’ ve found it necessary to purchase at three (3) replacements for this accessory. The ‘nozzle’ that inserts into the vacuum sealer always breaks because the slot of the plastic ends results in one side breaking off. This requires holding Both ends and,inasmuch as I have only two working hands, I guess only one more hand could press the button to initiate the vacuum.

I have had to order two so far the design is AWFUL!!! and the tab keeps breaking since you have to apply some pressure to the process. I will ask for a refund then order another one again and again

Based on some other reviews I doubted this would work well. I was wrong. I use this for jar sealing and it works well. The suction power is very good so far. The suction spigot fits right over the jar attachment and it suctions well with some pressure. However, the hose does not seem to fit in the machine as well as the discontinued hose product and I would have preferred the hose end to fit into the jar slot.
