Answer: Made in China, paid in US Price. But Quality is good under supervision from US.

Is this reel fully sealed and waterproof?

Answer: Yes it is fully sealed and waterproof. Best you check on Internet. But I used it more on the boat than shore. It is a wonderful reel and easy to use. Caught mostly mackerels (tenggiris) about 9 kgs. Good control of fight. It is a pity that this expensive reel is made in China. I know there is a reluctance to buy. But it has been closely supervised with good quality checks and audits by US. So far no regrets.

Answer: This is a wonderful reel as in picture. Smooth and powerful for any fish above 10KG. Brought along to Kuching caughtmacks about 8 kg, and Maldives wahoo 10 kg. Envy of most anglers when they see this reel. Expensive and made in China. However, quality is good, purchased with no regrets,

Answer: the 200 series of van staal is a great reel, smooth little to no friction. on the right rod this rod will hold onto big game fish. the reel depicted in the picture has no bail. I prefer no bail.
