how much line does the reel hold ?

Answer: Line capacity 950 yds. of 30 lb. mono/700 yds. of 100 lb.

Answer: I put 500 yards on 100lb braid and about 100 yards of mono on top.

Do the come with rod clamp...do not see them in the pics

Answer: Yes, our reels come with two different sized clamps to accommodate most rods.

How will this 30 wide match up with a 30-50 for halibut?

Answer: Yes it will match fine with a 30-50

Answer: I think the 50 would be overkill for hallibut no matter the size. I'd suggest the 30 or would even consider the 30 Accurate reel. I use the accurates for Tarpon fishing and the Penn 30-50 for offshore fishing when targeting marlin. Good luck

Answer: I used this in AK this year paired up with the eat my tackle 100-120# rod. Caught many 20-50lbs halibut. The two speed action was great when fishing deep. The guys using the single speed senators were jealous. Sharp looking reel also.

Answer: I've always serviced my own and friends, but have zero problems with reel using again out of sandiago next week

Answer: Specification for this reel matches pann’s specification. I have it for 1 year, so far so good

Answer: I think they are from China. I do not recommend this reel. The Penn 2 speed is much better and not much different in price

Answer: Big sharks need big tackle.......160-200 lb tournament rod paired with an 80 wide 2 speed reel will do it.

would the 30w be good for shoreline shark fishing

Answer: Sharks are very strong I would step up to a 50 wide as it will hold alot more line. These are great reels for shark fishing from the beach.

Answer: It's definitely a real that could handle the job the biggest thing would be putting the right line and the right later on when you're doing it as well the realest just half of it you need a good rod good line good leader obviously a heavy hook if you want to go after the big boys and last but not least a good bat to knock him out because when you get them on board he ain't doing nothing but opening and closing his mouth trying to bite

I've had and used a lot of 30 Wides and this has been the very best. I like them so much, I ordered 2 more! This is a extremely well built reel that has handled everything including a really pissed off 11 foot bull shark and a jewfish that had to weigh 400 plus. You cannot beat the price and the quality.

After about a dozen times (less than one year) using this reel and maintaining accordingly, the reel's drag adjustment knob corroded off and shortly after the reel wouldn't free spool. The company stated abuse and neglect, I say poor quality. Lost opportunities because of that. I have other older reels that have lasted the test of time and corrosive environment. Not this reel. You live and you learn. Never going to buy this reel ever again.
