Answer: I don’t think so. If they were I would gotten one. Did buy two of these of different sizes. Love them.

Does the 3/4 wt reel have a full cage frame as shown in the small photos?

Michael : Inaccurate sizing and description

I would have rated this higher but the description has some issues and as a result I didn't get what I expected Ithis order. I ordered two models from this manufacturer and had the same issues with both.

1) This is listed as a 5/7 wt at 4.6oz and 3.33" diameter which puts it about right for a 5/6 wt reel. I was tempted to buy the smaller version for my 5wt rod but based on the published specs this should have been just right. Instead this reel is sized like most manufactures 7/8 wt reels and actually weighs 5.6oz and is closer to 3.6"-3.7" in diameter. It doesn't sound lie much but it can quickly ruin the balance and handling of your setup. My suggestion is to try the 3/5 wt reel for anything 6wt and under but I can't confirm the sizing.

2) This is listed as having a "sealed" drag. It is definitely not sealed, it is more shielded than something like a piscifun sword or maxcatch avid but will still get water in the drag as soon as the reel dips below the surface.

I like the finish, details, machining and overall look of the sword and avid better but I think the overall build quality is better on this reel. It seems to have a little better drag system design and better quality internal components. Not sure if the 3/5wt reel is better but this reel had noticeable drag even at the "zero" setting. This is a no go for a 5/6wt trout setup.
