Answer: I modified the MasterBuilt Side shelf for the cold smoker on the right. Simple to clamp in place and drill holes. I backed both sides of the bolts with large washers. It can still fold down when I am using the smoker in the normal way.

Answer: Yes it DOES work. I have a 40 and accidentally ordered this. It works fine with one side of the smoker attached to the stand and is very stable. The other side just hangs off a few inches. It also saves you a LOT of money with this hack.

Answer: Not sure, I think you gain a couple of inches in height. That being said, l wouldn’t buy it again- I would make it, the stand didn’t have castors so I had to make something anyway. Also, it was a bit difficult attaching the box to the stand.

Answer: I use the big tin foil pans that you can buy at the grocery store. Just put one on the tray directly under what ever you are smoking. or on the bottom of the smoker.

The cover I have (regular 30" Masterbuilt cover) does not go down far enough to cover the stand. Answer: The leg kit is extremely sturdy, the legs have front to back and side to side supports adding to the sturdiness of the kit. There is no shelf but the back wheels make it much easier to move around.

WRONG!! I ended up having to call them and was told to order the "Universal" model; something entirely different in appearance but that one worked for my particular smoker. Why not just give them a call and be confident you are ordering the right stand the first time instead of wasting time and money like I did?

This stand will require alterations, metal cutting. for your smoker to fit correctly. and yes, I ordered the correct stand for my smoker. I used the serial numbers.
Morris Luton : Good product but bad quality control on whats supposed to be in the box.
I received box and box was intact with no issues but when I unpacked the box I saw that there was supposed to be 4 nuts for the rear adjuster and there was only 2 I realized that was a major problem. I luckily had a solution for the problem. I think most people would have stopped and called Amazon and sent box back or waited on parts from manufacturer. I had a set of stand offs that fit OK so I used those. But I am happy with the product and it works great.

Assembly was easy but the final product is out of square and awkward. No wheels so it's hard to move. It elevates the smoker to a much better level. Order carefully for your model smoker. My 30" Masterbuilt, glass door was not a good fit but I made it work with a little modification.

Works perfect, easy to put together and is the perfect height. Just make sure you measure your smoker. The base is suppose to bolt to the bottom of the smoker to secure it all together. A 30 inch smoker will not bolt to a 40 inch base and is a versa.

I bought this stand when I had a previous version of the MB 30 inch smoker. Had to replace the smoker recently and bought a new MB 30 inch smoker which is apparently isn't designed to work on this stand.. I don't blame Masterbuilt because they clearly state the stand wont work on this model and I didn't catch it when I bought it. But I have to vent frustration and want to ask MB: "why not design a stand that is universal, at least for other MB products of the same size"
Dave Adamson : Holes don't match
This was the suggested stand for the 40" Masterbuilt smoker that I bought in December. I just put both together after storing them for the winter and the 2 m10 nuts are missing from the parts pack and the front holes were about 1/2 inch off on the 2 front holes. The picture is after I reamed them both out to 3/4 inch. Then I had to go to a nut and bolt supply to find the nuts and pay there $5 minimum for 2 nuts.

After getting several responces from the company assurung mr this stand was the correct model for my smoker, it WAS NOT! The cutout on the bottom was wrong, I had to use tin snips to make it fit, so much for that.

I like that my smoker is up off the ground now and I can see into it while it’s smoking without having to bend over. It’s solid construction. I wish it had wheels to move it like we’re on the smoker without the stand. It also could have had better installation instructions. I figured it out, but instructions were super clear.

I bought this particular stand because it was referred by Amazon along with the cover at the time that I ordered the smoker. After spending the time to assemble the thing and finding it doesn't fit, I found that my model smoker isn't listed in the compatibility listing found on the stand's box. Apparently, Amazon does not check compatibility very well before offering it as a combination purchase.
Update: Amazon continues to recommend this when purchasing Masterbuilt Smoker 20075315. According to Masterbuilt and per my personal experience, this is the wrong stand for that smoker. Amazon is attempting to charge me a restocking fee for returning it. Very poor customer service!

Amazon Customer : Does Not Fit With My 40" Masterbuilt Smoker
Product was returned and money was refunded. It was advertised as fitting "most" models of the 40" Masterbuilt smokers, however, it did not list which models it would work with. After opening the package I noticed the slot in the base would not match up with the bottom of my smoker. The box did indicate which models of smokers it would work with. This could have been avoided it had originally advertised which models it worked with.

We bought this stand for use with a model 20071117 30" smoker. Assembly is fairly easy, although you will need your own tools and it does take a bit fiddling to get it to sit perfectly level, and even then you may have to bust out some shims. The problem I ran into was that this stand does not perfectly fit the 20071117 and the listing does not say which smokers the stand will fit, so be aware and do some research before you buy.
In my case, I kind of lucked out and discovered that while the stand does not perfectly mount onto the smoker since the wiring harness cover was positioned completely different from the cutout on the stand, the mounting holes for the four large bolts that normally serve as the feet for the smoker lined up perfectly. So I managed to get away with using the hardware that came with the smoker as well as the two plastic spacers and two nuts to mount the smoker. There's about an inch wide gap between the stand and the smoker which wouldn't occur if I owned a smoker that properly fit this stand but on the whole it feels quite sturdy and it looks great. I just wish Masterbuilt would make it more clear to people what this can and can not fit.

This is a very sturdy stand. For what it is, it is a good item. That is why I have given it three stars. Honestly, the item is probably a four or five star item. However, I’ve given it a low rating because the product did not really specify that it would not work with certain smoker models. I had one of the models that this is not compatible with. So I went to return it and they were going to charge me to return it. So instead I had to cut the hole bigger so that it would work. I just wish that it would have been more specific about which models work and which models don’t.

Not happy @ all! I bought this stand (per Amazon recommendation) to go with the smoker I was buying for my husband’s birthday gift. The smoker does not fit the stand!! My husband thinks he can modify it to fit but he shouldn’t have to!!! Beware!! Read the reviews. Sure wish I had!!

Great way to get the smoker up off the deck. Fairly simple to install. Delivered in a flat box with the bolts well labeled in the shrink wrap package that is common these days. It does bolt to the bottom of the smoker which requires you to take out some existing fasteners. It does fit the 30" model sold at Lowe's which isn't spelled out.

Good sturdy stand, but the wholes do not line up for mounting. We have a 40" Masterbuilt Bluetooth smoker and the box reads that it will work with all 40" Masterbuilts... But that is not true. Still a good solid stand, but we are not the "handy" type that are able to make the necessary changes to be able to actually mount it as advertised.

Purchased Masterbuilt 20070910 30-Inch Black Electric Digital Smoker and this stand via Amazon and both arrived yesterday. Obviously, I haven't had time to utilize the smoker to gauge it's performance, but the stand fit perfectly as advertised. I have not experienced any gale-force winds or California earthquakes, but if you follow the directions, it appears this stand is very sturdy.

This is a must buy if you are getting a Masterbuilt 30" smoker. This platform lifts the smoker about 16" off the ground and allows for easier access to getting things in and out of the smoker. This is a tremendous boon so that one does have to do power squats to get to their food.
There were a couple of reviews that mentioned that you need to modify this stand to make it fit securely, but I did not have that issue. Perhaps their stands were defective, but I did not have any issues.

When I first seen this, I asked my husband.. You think you would like one of these? He said nah... I'm okay. I bought it for him for Christmas from the pets. He has told me multiple times how much of a difference it has made when he is smoking meat. Highly recommend.

It's well machined and the parts fit together nicely, but what others reported is true in that it does cause my digital electronic smoker to lean slightly backwards. While I don't think this really a huge problem and don't believe it greatly impacts the smokers functionality, it is disappointing and irritating that they didnt' design it better.
It would have been nicer too if it included some casters. I'm looking to engineer mounting some on them.

Model 20070411 fit on it with no problem. The holes were perfect. Thick metal. Holds the smoker firmly. There does seem to be a little wobble, but when I move it around my garage floor it will go away. So I don't know if it is the stand or my floor. It would be nice if there was some kind of edge on the bottom shelf to keep things from falling off. Locking wheels would be a nice touch. I don't like having to pick the entire thing up to move it. It's nice not having to bend over.

I bought this particular stand because it was referred by Amazon along with the cover at the time that I ordered the smoker. After spending the time to assemble the thing and finding it doesn't fit, I found that my model smoker isn't listed in the compatibility listing found on the stand's box. Apparently, Amazon does not check compatibility very well before offering it as a combination purchase.
Update: Amazon continues to recommend this when purchasing Masterbuilt Smoker 20075315. According to Masterbuilt and per my personal experience, this is the wrong stand for that smoker. Amazon is attempting to charge me a restocking fee for returning it. Very poor customer service!

This was the suggested stand for the 40" Masterbuilt smoker that I bought in December. I just put both together after storing them for the winter and the 2 m10 nuts are missing from the parts pack and the front holes were about 1/2 inch off on the 2 front holes. The picture is after I reamed them both out to 3/4 inch. Then I had to go to a nut and bolt supply to find the nuts and pay there $5 minimum for 2 nuts.

After getting several responces from the company assurung mr this stand was the correct model for my smoker, it WAS NOT! The cutout on the bottom was wrong, I had to use tin snips to make it fit, so much for that.

CoachB : Useful, but needs help
It's a stand. Simple to assemble and install under my MES30. Does a nice job of getting the smoker off the ground a more accessible height. However, unless you have a spot to permanently park your smoker, it's a huge inconvenience to move. After having this for a few weeks, I decided that had to be an easy way to make this thing mobile. I had read other reviews where people had installed casters. Unfortunately to do so, mounting pads need to be welded to the bottom of the legs. I had planned to mount an axle to the back with dolly wheels, but walking through the local home center store, I came up with a simple fix that cost me about $20. I purchased two 7" lawnmower replacement wheels and a bolt kit. The lower rear side screws for the bottom shelf are just short of 3.5" from the ground. removing the two side screws and drilling the hole larger to accommodate the bolt kit. Prior to bolting on the wheels, I laid the unit on its side and sawed off the bottom of the rear legs, and touched up the bare metal with some paint to prevent rust. I simply bolted the wheels/in place with a fender washer behind the wheel. Moving under cover is now an easy one man job. Once I close the sides and back of the shelf, it'll be a 5 star addition

I've called Masterbuilt at least 10 time since I received the Electric Smoker Stand. The first time I was waiting on the phone for 1 hour 8 minutes and 22 seconds. I then punched the star key to keep my place in the Q and nothing happened. I've called many times since then and no one answers the phone (including today 1/2/2020). Amazon has allowed me to send back my stand but I was trying to reach Masterbuilt to see what stand I could order to fit my smoker. I do not recommend Masterbuilt products to anyone. They are not customer friendly and after they have your money they could care less. V R Bill Barney
Justin Paul : Great stand, just wish the feet were better
This is a great stand for my MES30, it takes it up to a comfortable height for getting items in and out of the smoker. It is a bit pricey in my opinion, but it's OEM so that is to be expected. The only thing I don't like and the reason for only 4 stars, is that the feet are not adjustable. The smoker itself has adjustable feet to allow you to level it. When you attach this stand, you have to remove the original feet and this stand does not adjust at all. A slight tilt can mean juices running out the front of your smoker instead of going out the drain like it should. I used wood shims to level it, but it would have been nice if they would have added threaded holes to the bottom of the feet so you could just take the original threaded feet from the smoker and add them to the bottom of this unit.

So I find that the patio where I smoke is a little unlevel and the front of the smoker is now lower than back, this allows water and grease to come out the side and leak on ground. SOLUTION: Went to hardware store and bought Two 1-1/4" bolts, 8 washers and 4 nuts, 4 rubber table feet (the smallest they had)....I cut off rubber feet to half jammed bolt head into rubber foot and hammered lightly home to ensure it was seated. Next step, drilled appropriate hole in both front leg bottoms and made sure large enough for bolt to fit through. I tried several combinations but found putting 2 washers on bolt first then put bolt through hole....put on another washer and the bolt. Tighten. After checking level it was about a 1/3 bubble high in front....PERFECT!!!! Now with my tubing flowing into my plastic jug I am set for a summer of smoking.
UPDATE: 5/14/2017....So the wheels I added allow me to easily move my smoker around. It was great to be able to clean it out without kneeling on the ground. I plan on rigging some type of closure for the bottom shelf so I can keep my chips and such in a bin.
Now for another addition......since so much grease comes off the meat when smoking I rigged up a 5/8" inside diameter clear tube from the grease drain down. I plan on using a gallon jug to catch my grease.....it should take the work from cleaning the grease tray. Makes it so much easier....also have a steamer on the way to clean my smoker between smokes....
Love this stand. Was hoping I would hear from MASTERBUILT about how they will correct the improperly drilled holes....someone needs to do something like now....still with the way the smoker legs attach to the stand it doesn't impact how secure it is on the stand.

This stand arrived yesterday. I purchased it for my 311 digital 40" smoker and after some alterations I like it.....much higher than before I no longer have to stand on my head to move things around, clean it, or other maintenance issues.
So if you are thinking about purchasing this and wonder why I gave it 3 stars....(MASTERBUILT PLEASE READ THIS AS YOU NEED TO MAKE SOME ALTERATIONS AND PROVIDE TO YOUR CHINESE MANUFACTURER SINCE I DON'T THINK THEIR METHOD OF MEASUREMENT OR THE BLUEPRINTS YOU PROVIDED THEM ARE ACCURATE.
Pros: Sturdy, well built, easy to assemble before you attempt to attach to the smoker.
Shelf will provide a great place to store most used items. Keeps the smoker off the ground so moisture won't affect it. I would buy again, even if I have to do the same adjustments.
Cons: Since this is just a 4 legged stand it becomes very difficult to move it once attached....(I solved that by doing what another reviewer suggested, will go into detail later. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IS THE HOLES DO NOT LINE UP. There is no way you could put the screws back into the smoker when attaching it. It took me over an hour to drill out the holes a little at a time before I had enough clearance to put in all 4 leg screws. One of the holes was over half an inch off....there was no way to force the screw through the sheet metal.....ha ha. So after getting the holes drilled, the legs screwed in easily.
I had no other issues assembling it or attaching it.....Now for the modification I made to make this smoker move with the ease of a dolly. After reading another review where the person attached mower wheels to the back legs I did the same thing, HOWEVER, I did NOT saw off the back legs. There was no need to if you get 7in wheels. Once attached there is more than enough clearance to move the smoker around without anything scraping the ground. SO BEFORE YOU ATTACH SMOKER DO THE FOLLOWING.
So go to HD, Lowes, Menards, local hardware and purchase 2 7" wheels, I opted for the steel hub wheels with internal bearings. Get the bolt set with the thick shaft that will go through the wheel and drilled hole and get 4 washers that will fit over the shaft. Drill out the back leg side screw hole on each side using a 1/2" bit....I assembled my stand prior to doing this and tightened all the screws...insert the wheel bolt through the wheel, put on two washers and insert through drilled hole. Put on the supplied nut that came with the wheel bolt. I put the two washers on between the stand and wheel to ensure the nut would be flush against the inside of the stand leg. This stand is stamped with a concove surface on the inside so the wheel will wiggle if it can't snug down to the leg. Repeat with the other side.
Now attach stand to bottom of smoker. I have the model 311 and it snugs down tightly to the stand. I was able to wheel it around the garage as if it came with the wheels.

So I bought it for my Masterbuilt smoker that it was supposed to fit but doesn’t. I didn’t realize it because my husband didn’t open it until after the 30-day return. Now it’s just sitting in our garage taking up space! I’ll probably end up listing it on FB to sell it. If it had the right cutouts it would have been great because it seems really sturdy!

Good lord... had a master built smoker for years. Now that I'm thinking of upgrading, the latest model 20071117 isn't compatible. It's a metal table guys, how difficult should it be to design a square box to sit on a square table and make it align?

Unit is well made and I think it will hold up well. Like others have stated — it didn’t fit my Master Built Smoker so I used a grinder to size it to fit my unit. I like doing this stuff anyway so it was no problem if you have a few tools. I felt the quality of the unit made it worth the time to make it work.

This stand will require alterations, metal cutting. for your smoker to fit correctly. and yes, I ordered the correct stand for my smoker. I used the serial numbers.
Dave : Attaching to smoker
I bought this along with my new Masterbuilt 20072112 Bluetooth smoker. The attaching bolts were too short and I had to make two trips to the hardware store to finally get bolts that fit. I did not have to take off the smoker's wheels but it took longer to get the unit attached properly and leveled than it did to assemble the actual smoker and stand.

I called masterbuilt customer service and they told me that leg kit wouldn't fit my model smoker, and that I needed to buy this stand.
Made the mistake of taking their word for it, so I ordered it. Guess what? the holes do not align, and even if they did, the cut-out for the bottom access panel runs from side to side on this stand. The actual panel on the bottom of my smoker runs from front to back.
Looks like it would be a nice stand IF IT FITS your particular smoker. I strongly suggest you DO NOT take Masterbuilt's word for what will or won't fit your smoker

This little stand is a great deal and pretty well built. Can easily elevate your smoker to make it more accessible to use and manipulate your cooking. I read the reviews prior to purchasing and everyone seemed to like it but wanted mobility. I took a chance that I could add casters at virtually no cost. I had an extra set of casters left over from a project and they worked perfectly. Very stable and adapted to by Bradley Smoker no problem.

As I am 77 and writing my first review, I can say I could have engineered the stand better blindfolded. They have a cut out to fix over a plate about 1/4 inch high. This opening is used to get at the housing on the smoker if necessary. Unfortunately, the hole is not a top of the housing, so you need to take off the stand to get at the housing. Yes, I have the stand on correctly. Second, 4 flat washers are needed to help with the attaching of the stand.

Metal on top plate needed to be hit with a mallet a few times. Metal got a slight bend in it near the corner. Not a big deal. Worked out just fine.

This stand will require alterations, metal cutting. for your smoker to fit correctly. and yes, I ordered the correct stand for my smoker. I used the serial numbers.

A couple of the construction details are not real clear for attaching it to the smoker. And my new smoker model number didn't match those for this stand. But you can still figure out easily how to put it together and attach your smoker with common sense. And it did work with my smoker. I did need to rack it a little after I put it together to get the holes to line up for attaching the smoker. It appears to be sturdy. And it looks like the metal is coated so that it won't rust too quickly. I live in the Seattle area. It will be under a patio canopy. But here everything is still damp for 6 to 8 months a year. I don't know if the nuts and bolts are anything other than zinc. Again that means rust. I say this because my gas bbq rusted out in 3 years under the cover. But it was cheap. I still give it 4 stars. But in 3 years I may change my mind. We will see.
William Barney : The stand did not fit my Digital Smoker Model
I've called Masterbuilt at least 10 time since I received the Electric Smoker Stand. The first time I was waiting on the phone for 1 hour 8 minutes and 22 seconds. I then punched the star key to keep my place in the Q and nothing happened. I've called many times since then and no one answers the phone (including today 1/2/2020). Amazon has allowed me to send back my stand but I was trying to reach Masterbuilt to see what stand I could order to fit my smoker. I do not recommend Masterbuilt products to anyone. They are not customer friendly and after they have your money they could care less. V R Bill Barney
