How many feet is the total length of this rig?

Answer: 40 inches

Can this be used off the pier?

Answer: Yes. I just used it in Gulf Shores AL at the state park pier with some good luck!

What size hook is this?

Answer: It is an 8/0 hook. (note the model number SH-8C) I bought these down at the beach and compared with them with other 8/0 rigs in the store. They also make an 11/0 rig as well which has a better gap for fishing bunker (Amazon carries them but does not specify the hook size...listed as Aqua-Clear-100-Pound-Crimped-32-Inch)

Answer: Looked like a very small 10/0 very skinny gap on the hook
