Does it have directions because I have no clue how to use it?

Answer: Not really. They could use some. There's youtube videos on how to use them, though. One thing that drive me nuts is you have to pull out the barrel swivel before you can put a line through them. I wish something on the package would have told me that. But once you learn that, they're easy to use.

Compared to actual English method leads, do they work well?

Answer: I've never used English ones, but they seem to work just fine. Caught more Carp this year than ever before. It's a great technique.

1st time EVER using the "method" feeder, read about it and said "why not try it" and I am very pleased with it. Cost was right on and it works!!! Made my homemade carp bait and used this method feeder and in an hour, I was hooked onto my first carp. Ended up catching 5 that evening and this worked flawlessly. Great way to take a youngster out and get them a big fish. I never give a 5 star rating, nothing is perfect ;) but i have no negative comments.

Outstanding product, meets my needs for lighter feeders than I usually carry. The mold for bait is very convenient and packs the material neatly on the feeder.

I ordered and received two sets of this product today. I have not had the chance to use them yet, but wanted to share that the weight ratings written on each one of them is far from accurate and even inconsistent between the same weight ratings. The ones rated at 15g (1/2 oz) actually weighed 22g (3/4 oz) and the other actually weighed 20g (5/8 oz). The ones rated at 20g (7/10 oz) actually weighed 26g (7/8 oz). The others were off also by several grams. Not a deal breaker for me. I just wanted to share my initial observations. I will provide an update after I get a chance to use them.

Update: Finally got the chance to use these on 5/25/2019. Worked well with the pack bait I made and held up well with every cast. I didn't experience any cracking. I even caught a nice 36 inch 25 lbs common carp. Took 15 mins to land her.

2 out of 4 feeders where broke. The tube where the line runs through are split so you can't feed the line through.

Blessed1 : Tie a larger swivel on the bottom of rig so it doesnt pull the hairline thru.

These work great. Mix and use panko, strawberry jello, and whole kernal corn. Look up Luke on youtube "cats and carp". He shows you how to get it done.

Fish Doctor : The Best Day Fishing in Years!

I bought this product after watching Luke at Catfish and Carp.com use a similar model on YouTube. Boy am I glad I did! I caught 12 carp within the two hours and to top the day off I started catching nice size small mouth bass. I finally had to stop fishing at 2 pm, because my shoulder was getting sore from reeling in so many fish. So if you want to catch carp and who knows what else get one of these setups.

I gave the product 5 stars, because it design is well thought out, its hard plastic design with flat weighted back minimizes snagging, but allows for easy casting.

But 1 star for product packaging, I never received the 2pcs Loop Tyer & Hook Removers

Product itself seems ok, however one of the molds arrived cracked, see pictures. Molds seem like cheap plastic. Item was shipped in a bubble mailer and should have been shipped in a box.
