is this for saltwater?

Answer: Its great for all soft plastic baits saltwater and freshwater. I put all my soft plastics in a plastic tub and pour this bottle in and let them kind of marinade. It keeps my Berkeley gulp minnows from drying out and adds scent to my baits. It leaves a great scent trail in the water that fish can't resist.

Will this work to recharge the Gulp Saltwater Baits?

Answer: yes, that's all i use it for..... be sure to seal the container/bag tight. it will stink.

Is this the same liquid as in the gulp jars?

Answer: I think so but this liquid has no scent. It just keeps the lures from drying out.

Answer: Should have a smell

Answer: It is pretty benign. Use it and catch fish. It's fine!

When should I dump out the old Gulp liquid and refill with new?

Answer: I have always just added more when it started to dry out. I've never had to dump old liquid. Are you putting used bait back into liquid. If so I think if the liquid starts to look dirty dump it.

Answer: The gulp liquid lasts long, if it stinks it still works. If still reusable you can rinse off the gulp after use to maintain the liquid. Changing the liquid is up to you and your preference.

Answer: What I do is just add the gulp refill in my contain that I keep my gulp baits in when it starts to get low. I never dump out the old gulp but that is just the way I do. I never heard of dumping the old stuff out,just adding it when needed. Hope that helps you a little

Answer: Don't mix it with water, get a small container that seals tightly and add the recharge liquids to it then add what you want to it. I add all my soft baits and even bucktail and others

purchased the minnow black shad gulp alive and noticed it says freshwater on the container . i fish saltwater can i use these freshwater minnows in saltwater . would they work. is it the same formula in both salt and fresh water.?? or do i have toss these minnows in the garbage?

Answer: I only have the sand worms. The liquid seems to be scentless and is to keep the baits from drying out. So I guess it can be for fresh or salt.

Answer: I don't really know if it is made only for saltwater but I use it for my saltwater baits and I'm still catching fish on the gulp baits that I put in this recharge liquid. Even though I use it I can't give you a definitive answer on your question if it is for saltwater baits

Answer: its 2oz. Very misleading. Go elsewhere to purchase.

Can you use it on doa shrimp? savage gear shrimp? live target shrimp? i'm asking because it says on the bottle: "not recommended for plastic bait".

Answer: I don't know why not it is just a liquid base. I use it on power bait, my friend dips his lures in it. If I would use it on Plastic bait and it harmed it then don't use it.

Answer: Gulp products dry out to uselessness if not kept wet. I take my gulp items out of the plastic envelopes they come in and put them in a container with a a screw on lid and enough recharge liquid to cover. I have put other plastic baits in the same container and what usually happens is that some of the colorant leaches out so I don't recommend doing that.

Answer: It will work, but only for a few tosses. What it seems designed for is "porous" material. Traditional plastics repel and would have to be soaked pretty long to fully absorb the product. That process may change the scent. I do not know that. That said, I have used it on plastics and even cut bait. I have seen the difference. It is the most effective scent product I've used.

Answer: Yes I use it for saltwater. But I plan to try it for Bass & bluegill in the future. It smells just like the liquid I have in some of the crappie baits from Gulp.

Answer: not to be rude but this question was answered already, it is for fresh and saltwater uses. it allows the bait to leave the scent trail in the water. I have put used baits back into the fluid to "recharge" if it's been undamaged.

Answer: I doubt it. But its not used in a mesh. It's used mainly on the gulp bait fir scent.

Answer: I don't quite understand what your plans on using it for, do you want to chum with it because it's not meant to use for chum. It's meant to put the flavor back into your gulp grubs or fish or whatever kind of gulp products your using. I brought a plastic container for the dollar store to put an assortment of gulp in and it didn't melt that but I think your looking for a different answer. I had to contact Amazon because I was sent a bottle with no seal. Leaked all over the box and did not smell like gulp recharge. Had no smell at all and suggests that it was watered down. Waiting for my replacement now. I hope this bottle is sealed.

Not sure what Berkley did to their formula - both their baits and recharge juice. Doesn't smell like it used to and doesn't last. Also - doesn't work as good. Take it from someone that has been using it from day 1. I fish 30-40 days a year.....so I use it a lot. I would pay double to get the original formula and bait texture.

The best soft bait out there! I use it with saltwater fishing (northeast, fluke), and depending on the color, the 6" grub does the trick! But make sure your container is 100% waterproof, because you do not want this stuff all over

Good to rejuvenate a dried up bag of gulp baits. Took a star off as the 2 ounce is a bit overpriced. You can get it for much cheaper at a local mart if you have one.

If you use Gulp baits it is good to have some spare recharge liquid in case of a spill. I place an assortment of Gulp baits in a small jar with a screw on lid to take in my kayak. Helps prevent spillage and keeps baits ready to use.
