I started dressing my fishing hooks before each use this season (even more often if I'm fishing around structure) and I've noticed that it has made a difference in my landing rate.

This file fits easily into my tackle bag and takes just a minute or so to dress a hook to needle sharp.

was very frustrated to find out the 5 1/2" size and was sent the 4". Wouldve sent it back to receive the right size, but needed it for a trip. Granted the 4" will get me by and gave it 3 stars because it still is serving its purpose sharpening large musky hooks and small walleye hooks

This file cuts quickly and smoothly. It's fine enough to work on even small trebles, but robust enough to quickly chisel a point on heavy 5/0 & 6/0 hooks.

I like this sharpener better than any other sharpener I've ever tried, even powered sharpeners. I still have the first one I bought from BPS 30 years ago, and it still cuts fine.
