Are these large hooks need to catch small blue gill and white bass

Answer: They are small and with small plastic bait you can catch bream and small bass. You need larger ones for white bass

Answer: I have caught trout bluegills perch rock bass. Using these with a 1 inch berkley gulp minnow. So I'd say yes these would work for you.

get the 30 pack not the 4 pack. but trout magnets really do work for stockers.

Kayaking Source : Sharp hook

I got my product in and used them for catching bait fish. When I opened the pack, one of them had the hook going through an eye of the other. I tried for a while to get it out, but ended up having to cut it off. This left me with loosing one right away.

Other than that small problem, the jog heads worked great. They are sharp and easily go into the mouth of a blue gill fish. They held up and I didn't loose any others. I did hook one up on a underwater branch and when I pulled it bent the hook. But it didn't break and I was able to bend it back.

Overall I believe these are good quality and worth the money (even with loosing one)...

These Leland jig heads are not of bad quality. The head is also made of lead. Be aware of whether you can use lead-based products in your area. They do a fairly good job for keeping the bait submerged under a float. I have a few issues with these jig heads though. 1) I don't think the hook itself is particularly sharp. I had several times where trout would easily dislodge it from their mouths before they got back to me. 2) The hook itself tends to end rather easily after only a few uses. This also results in fish getting away. 3) The rear barb on the shank of the hook seems very small. I had to constantly re-adjust my Leland Trout magnets after just casting them, let alone actually catching a fish. The only other issue I had was the finish on the gold or bronze plated ones came off in chunks after several uses. I use these because they come with the product but I'm honestly trying to find a ready alternative because I'm not terribly impressed with them. I resorted to using my normal bait holder hooks and having to run a small weight an inch or two above the desired bait I was using. I'm a little disappointed in these to be honest.
