Answer: I like the smallest size/weight that I can use and still keep in contact with the bottom. Water depth and current flow will dictate the size I use.

Answer: no hard line answer for that, depends on where you are fishing and the depth and water conditions. I bought 3?4 and 1 oz sizes. Buy several and find out which one works best for ya! That's fishin!

Answer: There are many food colors . I like white, glow, or chartreuse

Answer: Have never had the chance to fish for Pompano but my understanding is useing 1/2 to 1 1/2 oz are the best sizes from the shore

Answer: Probably 1/4 of an ounce. The hooks are big. And pompano's mouth aren't the biggest.

What color should I get for fishing off the beach?

Answer: The color depends on what the fish are biting, the time of the year, and time of the day. We usually have 3 colors available and rotate to see which is biting best. We also try to see what near by fisherman are having success with at that time.

Answer: Hi: I don't do any surf fishing, however the way the Fluke respond to these lures is quite amazing. The "Magic Bus" (yellowish w/a couple of other mised stripes) is the best, followed by the Chartreuse, then white. You never know what the fish want on any given day! Keep in mind that I can only comment on the 3/8 & 1/2 oz. sizes, but can't see why a heavier weight wouldn't work? Hope this helps.

27 stripers in 1 day, in 3 hours, no this jig. What else can I say? Tip it with berkely gulp, and it's a magnet. I have many of these in all sizes.
