Answer: The difference between 05 and 07 is the overall length. 07 = 2.75 inches. Also, for standard shad raps, as size increases so does the depth, unless its a shallow runner or scatter rap. Hooks size usually increases.

This is awesome. When cast into a school of shad the huge bass go for this lure. Have 3 of these in my tackle box at all times. One of the few lures I totally love!

What good is a lure that breaks every few fish. Contacted rapala because broke 4 tails and 1 bill in 3 days. At $9 a pop thats $45 worth. Contacted rapala and according to them im obviously hitting logs...the kayak...rocks...whatever. funny ive fished the same areas for yrs and other cheaper lures catch just as many wally and are yrs old. This in the crawdad color is possibly the best smallmouth lure I've ever used. I've caught everything from perch to muskies with this particular color but I love it best for smallies. It's always on one of my rods and never fails to produce. Stocking up on a couple more as I type this for backups.

This is by far one of the best rapalas I have ever used. The shad rap has carried me through thick and thin, and it feels good to know their lures never disappoint. Out of the 200+ times ive gone fishing with this shad rap, I have never skunked due to the controlled sink rate. They cast far, have good action, and rarely get snagged. Works wonders on smallies and largemouth too.

Watch your speed on retrieve to get the lure to dive to the appropriate depth. Faster retrieve gives deeper dive, slower retrieve gives shallower dive.
