Answer: It is the SXR10 series, which is 4". I have written to Amazon to include a better labeling in the description. This is the second smallest in the SXR series, which comes in four sizes.

How deep does it run?

Answer: I have fished it in 10' of water with good results, but it does have a small lip so it will only go so deep. Cast it, crank like a bastard to get it down and retrieve. There is on problem with them other being pricey and that is the diving lip is so cheap that if you bottom it, it breaks. I will NEVER buy another one of these again.

Answer: If they are close to water level then yes, but if you are 30-50 feet above water level, the lure will not be able to dive to the desired depths. If you are much higher than the water level, try using an Acme Kastmaster. Those work very well off a pier.

Answer: If your using a spinning rod you would want to tie a small swivel to your main line and I then run about a 2.5' - 3' leader to the plug to prevent line twisting

Answer: Don't add weight. A simple loop knot is ok or a metal clip. The leader would be fluorocarbon and the breaking strain would suit the fish you are targeting. Size 4 is small lure so a lighter leader would be used

Answer: I recommend tying it to 1-2 feet of fluorocarbon leader. Never add weight it will negatively effect the way it swims.

These are a go to lure. I've caught numerous species all up and down the east coast with xraps but particularly this small shallow diver. Seriously, I've caught grouper, mackerel, snapper, mutton, bluefish, Jack crevalle, and stripers. I caught 28 stripers in an hour trolling these on a warm day in February on the Chesapeake Bay.
